Plymouth Argyle have announced that Northern Ireland goalkeeper Conor Hazard will leave at the end of his contract.

The 28-year-old played 91 times for the Pilgrims over a three-year spell after joining from Scottish side Celtic in the summer of 2023.

He was first choice for much of his first season as Michael Cooper recovered from a serious knee injury.

But he missed four months of his second season after having ankle surgery, while he missed the start of this season following a knee problem sustained on international duty.

His final Argyle appearance was the 2-1 win over Port Vale on 25 April, when he was sent off after five minutes for handling the ball outside the area.

Plymouth Argyle striker Owen Oseni made his international debut for Nigeria in their 2-0 win over Zimbabwe on Tuesday night.

The 23-year-old was sent on as a 77th-minute substitute by the Super Eagles in their Unity Cup semi-final, played at Charlton Athletic.

Millwall's Femi Azeez scored a goal in each half to secure victory.

Nigeria will face either Jamaica or India in the final on Saturday before they go on to play friendlies against Poland and Portugal next month ahead of the World Cup in the United States.

Republic of Ireland-born Oseni, who scored 10 goals in his first season with League One side Argyle, qualifies for Nigeria through his father.

Plymouth Argyle will make a contract offer to experienced midfielder Joe Ralls.

The 32-year-old former Cardiff City player joined Argyle on a short-term deal in September before extending his stay until the end of the season.

He made 11 appearances and scored one goal before suffering a hamstring injury in January.

Should the Pilgrims make the League One play-offs, he could be fit enough to make the squad.

"A contract offer will be made," Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley said.

"The contract offer is always the start of the negotiation, so these things can take weeks.

"But yes, I think the club will be working towards that and Rallsy's got an appetite to stay."

Tom Cleverley's side have been beaten just four times in League One since the end of December

Plymouth Argyle head coach Tom Cleverley says he is enjoying his side's League One run-in as they aim for the play-offs.

Eighth-placed Argyle, who were bottom of the table in November, still have an outside chance of making the play-offs after their 2-1 win over Port Vale on Saturday.

The Pilgrims must beat Northampton Town in their final game and hope that both Stevenage and Luton Town fail to win if they are to finish sixth and claim the final play-off place.

"This is why we're in football, we all want to achieve things," he told BBC Radio Devon.

"It's no fun being mid-table come March; the last six, eight games sort of fizzle away.

"So to take it to the last game, I'm loving it. I've enjoyed every minute of it, even through the tough times.

"I said at the time, there's nothing else I'd rather do tomorrow morning than be Argyle manager and that's true.

"Whatever situation we're in, we'll have bad times again in the future together, but I think we've shown how we can get out of them and turn them into something positive this year."
