Acquah has a huge frame and once he gets his body between ball and man it's hard for the opponent.

He's already had an effect since coming on.

Flurry of County corners, swung under the bar on the stiff breeze each time by Matt Palmer and Jodi Jones, but the Town defence deal with the first couple and the last just evades Alassana Jatta at the back post.

All started with an amazing block by Gibson throwing his body on the line and it somehow got 50, 60 yards up the pitch, before some good hold-up play from Acquah to allow time for Duke-McKenna to get the shot off.

This is better, it's a shot on target and gets some noise behind the goal which is needed to get into the game.

James Belshaw has had something to do on his return to the Exercise Stadium.

Town break after a Matt Palmer shot is charged down 30-yards out and Stephen Duke-McKenna is fed on the right of the box but his low effort is saved by his former teammate - who joined County in January.

Jacob Slater then pings a low shot from 25 yards well wide of his left-hand post after the restart.

Encouraging signs for the hosts, at least.

Matthew Dennis is limping off rather gingerly with Lee Ndlovu replacing him in the County attack.

Emile Acquah is also on in attack for Jack Muldoon who has had a very quiet afternoon for the hosts, with scraps to feed off, in truth.

Another glimpse of goal for Matthew Dennis as Stephen Duke-McKenna plays a blind backpass into his own box but he is crowded out and settles for a neat backheel to Conor Grant whose low shot is easily saved by Henry Gray diving to his left.

Some gutsy defending from Town as County push for a second.

Conor Grant's low cross from the left somehow evades everyone, Matthew Dennis' touch is too heavy in the mixer, while Jodi Jones' follow-up from the right is charged-down.

Gray is doing well today, he can collect the ball and give it out quickly to get us going up the pitch as fast as possible.

He's certainly provided that for us today, looking to get things going from a goalkeeping position.

Town sub Tobias Brennan can count himself a little lucky to only pick up a caution for this as he hangs a leg dangerously high as Conor Grant nips across him with a bouncing ball.

He catches him, high, but Will Finnie says just a yellow.

Jodi Jones has a crack from the 25-yard free-kick, just to the right of the area, but it's routine for Henry Gray.

He tried hard this afternoon Ellis Taylor, he got into some good areas but Simon Weaver has recognised it's just not happening for him today.

Stephen Duke-McKenna is coming on for his 50th Town appearance, replacing Ellis Taylor, who will be thinking about that chance for a while, you'd expect.

Massive, massive chance. Taylor seemed to wait, he wanted a perfect touch and perfect finish.

We just needed a quick finish and it's a huge opportunity but he allowed Jodi Jones to recover.

We need one of those moments, one of those little sparks to get us back in the game.

Ellis Taylor gets a glimpse of goal eight yards out after a looping cross bounces over Jacob Bedeau but his effort is brilliantly charged down by the covering Jodi Jones with only James Belshaw to beat.

About as good as it has been for Town, that.

Matt Palmer swings a dangerous corner in on the wind, right under the crossbar, but keeper Henry Gray shows good strength to get a good punch on it in a throng of bodies, and Town are able to deal with the follow-up cross too.

Notts will want Harrogate to come onto them before breaking away at any opportunity.

They're not actively looking for a second goal and if anything will want Harrogate Town to attack them to open them up.

The home players look short on confidence and belief, which is understandable after the season they have had.

County are, however, buzzing about, pressing ferociously and seem to know a second goal would surely do it.

Matthew Dennis tries to find it with a low shot from outside the box but Henry Gray gathers low at his right-hand upright.

Town looking for a route back into this game.

They know a win will get them out of the bottom two ahead of the 3 o'clock kick-offs but it's a big task at hand to get all three points.

We've already seen one change at half-time but there's plenty more options on the bench with players returning from injury. I wonder who he'll go to next.

Oof.

Keanen Bennetts dives into right of the box and clips in a cross towards the near post but the sliding Jacob Slater catches him just after the ball goes, landing a painful blow on his ankle.

You have seen those given, a lot. But Will Finnie says no this time.

Bennetts will need some treatment on the injury to add to the insult.

We've got to spark a bit of something, spark the crowd. Whether it's a throw, a tackle, a cross, a header, just to spark a bit of momentum.

We're running out of time. After today there's only six games left. There needs to be a sense of urgency.

Notts County were stung by some stunning counterattacks on Tuesday and look to have learned from it.

Alassana Jatta and Tom Iorpenda exchange neat passes on halfway before Iorpenda sends Jatta haring down the right, he swings a perfect cross in for Matthew Dennis in the hox but though he controls on his chest, it bounces through to keeper Henry Gray before he can get a toe on it.
