  1. Postpublished at 14:36 BST 21 June

    Glamorgan 358 v Surrey 105 & 216-4

A little bit of hesitation from Ollie Pope he goes to run, but there is a call from Rory Burns to go back.

It is a close call for Pope but a big stride kept him in, and the ball missed the stump.

This partnership don't want to lose it from a small mistake.

  2. Centurion Burns leading Surrey resistancepublished at 14:33 BST 21 June

    Glamorgan 358 v Surrey 105 & 215-4

    Nick Webb
    BBC Radio Wales

Surrey captain Rory Burns is leading stern Surrey resistance as they work to knock off a massive first-innings deficit of 258 in the Sophia Gardens sunshine.

Burns' century is his highest score of the season though he did offer a technical chance at cover off Kiran Carlson on 82.

Ollie Pope is also looking watchful in a half-century stand, playing the occasional fluent shot, but Glamorgan are looking for the second new ball to revive their chances of pushing home the hard work of day two.

  3. Postpublished at 14:28 BST 21 June

    Leics 453 v Yorks 185 & 156-8

Dan Moriarty unleashes an almighty heave at a ball well wide of off stump and finds thin air only. Fortunately for him, it evades the edge.

The chastened batter then reverts to forward defence before ending an eventful maiden with a play and a miss.

  4. 100 for Burnspublished at 14:25 BST 21 June

    Glamorgan 358 v Surrey 105 & 212-4

Rory Burns has hit his century, a great innings from the captain, and it is his first one of the County Championship season this year.

He has reached 100 from 220 balls .

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:21 BST 21 June

    Goldsworthy lbw b Bamber 20 (Somerset 208 & 124-5 v Warks 330)

    Big wicket for the Bears!

Lewis Goldsworthy looks to turn a straight ball from Ethan Bamber into the legside but misses and is struck on the pad.

He would have a decent argument to say that was going down leg, but it's given and he's gone. Just as they were looking pretty set.

Archie Vaughan joins Thomas Rew (24) with not quite a mountain to climb but a nasty incline.

  6. 150 runs

150 up for Yorkshirepublished at 14:20 BST 21 June

    Leics 453 v Yorks 185 & 150-8

Change of bowling at the Bennett End and Josh Davey is back looking for a fourth wicket of the innings.

Dan Moriarty pushes into the offside and takes Yorkshire to 150.

All a bit immaterial, but there is some face to be saved.

  7. Somerset move into the leadpublished at 14:18 BST 21 June

    Somerset 208 & 124-4 v Warks 330

Lewis Goldsworthy rocks back and cuts Manav Suthar into the offside for a couple which wipes out the deficit and moves Somerset into the lead with six wickets still intact.

A single takes a promising looking partnership to 44.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:16 BST 21 June

    Critchley c Verreynne b Patterson-White 13 (Essex 184 & 109-6 v Notts 457)

Beautifully pitched delivery from Liam Patterson-White who turns it slightly from middle and off and catches the edge of Matt Critchley's bat.

Essex are in bother now, still training by 164 runs.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:14 BST 21 June

    Leaning c Brown b Jack 0 (Sussex 159 & 73-3 Hampshire 191 & 220)

Eddie Jack with his first ball over the over takes out Jack Leaning, Sussex are in trouble now.

Leaning exits the field with 0. It is two batters for Sussex with no runs which is not ideal.

Since lunch this game has completely flipped.

  10. Postpublished at 14:04 BST 21 June

    Somerset 208 & 107-4 v Warks 330

Thomas Rew decides to drive at Manav Suthar but it turns just past his outside edge.

An inside edge onto the front pad brings more groans from the Bears fielders.

But Rew survives and scampers a single which brings the deficit down to 15.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:02 BST 21 June

    Hughes lbw b Jack 36 (Sussex 159 & 67-2 Hampshire 191 & 220)

I spoke too soon here - it is a massive wicket for Hampshire!

Daniel Hughes has gone for 36, he might feel that was missing leg stump, and that might be one that would be reviewed in a test match.

Hampshire have their breakthrough though, and their spirits seem to have been lifted now.

  12. Postpublished at 14:02 BST 21 June

    Durham 405 v Northants 450 & 28-2 (lead by 75 runs)

Nathan McSweeney announces his arrival with two fours in two balls off Matthew Potts.

The first was an attempted pull which gets a leading edge over the slip cordon which was fortunate to say the least.

But the second, showing no nerves as a result of the first, is an assured punch through mid off.

  13. Postpublished at 13:57 BST 21 June

    Sussex 159 & 67-1 Hampshire 191 & 220

These are some of the best batting conditions we have had over the past few days. The partnership of Daniel Hughes (36) and Tom Alsop (27) is holding on strong.

If Sussex can get another 30 to 40 runs it leaves with them with achievable target.

Hampshire could do with breaking this partnership.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:56 BST 21 June

    Hassan Ali c Kelly b B Green 7 (Leics 453 v Yorks 185 & 134-8)

    Almost there.

Yorkshire have chipped away exactly half the deficit but are now eight down.

Hassan Ali looks to wallop Ben Green back over his head but instead the ball goes straight up and drops to Nick Kelly at mid-on.

The batter was on his way back before the ball had even reached the fielder.

Dan Moriarty joins Dom Bess and the Foxes need two more for a first home red-ball win over Yorkshire in 40 years.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:53 BST 21 June

    Harrison c McKinney b Potts 1 (Durham 405 v Northants 450 & 15-2)

And Matthew Potts has delivered after lunch with two in the over.

That has flown at an awkward height to Ben McKinney at third slip and he has juggled it at shoulder height, taking it with a second grab.

Durham looked like they needed something special from someone and Potts has come to the party.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:52 BST 21 June

    Vasconcelos c Aldridge b Potts 5 (Northants 450 & 13-1 v Durham 405)

Fairly innocuous delivery angled across the left hander from Matthew Potts and Ricardo Vasconcelos holes out to second slip with an airy drive.

It looked as though he was beaten for pace as he was slightly late but it could have moved a touch off the pitch.

Either way, the man who made 187 in the first innings is gone for 5.

  17. Postpublished at 13:51 BST 21 June

    Somerset 208 & 104-4 v Warks 330

Lewis Goldsworthy and Thomas Rew return to the middle to some hearty applause urging them to build on their 24-run partnership.

The game is very much in the balance here. A decent stand and Somerset could be firmly back in this match.

A wicket or two before this 18-run deficit is wiped out and the Bears will be big favourites.

    Ethan Bamber to open up.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:45 BST 21 June

    Hill lbw b Patel (Leics 453 v Yorks 185 & 121-7)

George Hill walks out after lunch and promptly walks back to the pavilion.

He looks to defend Ajaz Patel's first ball after the interval but the ball grips, turns and finds his pad instead.

That was hitting middle of middle. Very out.

Hassan Ali joins Dom Bess with the writing firmly on the wall.

  20. Healthy crowd enjoying holiday feel at Hovepublished at 13:41 BST 21 June

    Sussex 159 & 64-1 Hampshire 191 & 220

    Kevan James
    BBC Radio Solent commentator

There’s a healthy crowd here taking advantage of free entry on this Father’s Day, good weather, and being beside the sea (for those who have travelled along the coast by train today from Hampshire), there’s a few!

The prospect of a close finish will also have enticed many to this ‘holiday feel’ venue.

We have the best batting conditions of the match so far and despite the early loss of Tom Haines, Sussex are favourites to win this.

To put them under pressure, Hampshire will need to bowl tight throughout.
