    50 partnershippublished at 15:16 BST 21 June

    Leics 453 v Yorks 185 & 212-9

Dan Moriarty is showing his teammates how it should have been done.

He guides an Alex Green delivery down to the rope at third man for his eighth boundary.

The next ball is dispatched through the legside for back-to-back fours.

A crackerjack of a pull shot takes him to 46 as this final-wicket pair continue to frustrate the hosts. That's a fifty partnership with Jack White (13) off 46 balls!

  2. Pears nine downpublished at 15:14 BST 21 June

    Worcs 359-9 v Glos 289 - Worcs lead by 74

Gloucestershire have come fighting back in the past half hour at New Road, breaking up the 116-run partnership of Ethan Brookes and Matthew Waite that gave the Pears the lead.

Brookes went for 66 and Waite for 63.

Beyers Swanepoel has been stumped attempting a big heave off Graeme van Buuren who celebrates with some very questionable dance moves.

The hosts will want their final pair to push this lead out towards 100.

    Miller c Potts b Parkinson 61 (Durham 405 v Northants 450 & 107-3)

And that spark comes from.... you guessed it Callum Parkinson.

Gus Miller will be annoyed with himself here as he slaps an average ball from the spinner to Matthew Potts at cover.

It brings to an end a partnership of 92 between the batter and Nathan McSweeney for the third wicket.

    Burns c Cooke b Norton 115 (Glamorgan 358 v Surrey 105 & 253-5)

Rory Burns flicking it down the leg side and Glamorgan have got the catch, and Burns is gone.

Burns was caught by Chris Cooke from the bowl by who else but Tom Norton.

It was not a great delivery compared to the other 257 balls he has faced - but I reckon he will be pleased with 115, and his first century of the season.

  5. Postpublished at 15:11 BST 21 June

    Durham 405 v Northants 450 & 107-2 (lead by 152 runs)

Will Rhodes is into the attack as Durham look to break this partnership.

Nathan McSweeney and Gus Miller were brought together with the score 15-2 and are now approaching their hundred partnership.

Both men look very well set and Durham are in need of a spark... again.

  6. 50 runs

50 for Thomas Rewpublished at 15:11 BST 21 June

    Somerset 208 & 172-6 v Warks 330

    Thomas RewImage source, Getty Images

Easy this first-class cricket isn't it?

Thomas Rew passes 50 for the third time in just his sixth first-class innings in streaky fashion, with an inside edge for one.

In the context of this match it's a huge knock as he becomes just a second Somerset player to raise his bat in this match.

The younger Rew brother has done it from 95 balls and with eight fours.

And it takes the Somerset lead to a round 50

  7. wicket

Postpublished at 15:11 BST 21 June

    Kent 416 & 41-2 v Middlesex 443 - Kent lead by 14 runs

Kent have lost Ben Dawkins for a watchful 11 off 66 balls.

He's beaten all ends up by Naavya Sharma's delivery that gets through his defences and takes out off stump.

Kent lost their other opener Ben Compton earlier when they were 6-1.

Sam Northeast is setting things down on 26 from 50 and he is now joined by Daniel Bell-Drummond.

Get Involved - County Championship to take a breakpublished at 15:07 BST 21 June

Cannot believe that after this round there are no more championship matches for 2 months! Really competitive and interesting this year and then nothing in the height of summer. The schedule is a complete mess.

    Anthony, Penzance

It's a very good point Anthony. The next round of fixtures don't start until 20 August.

  9. 6 runs

Postpublished at 15:05 BST 21 June

    Somerset 208 & 169-6 v Warks 330

Beau Webster continues with his off-breaks and Craig Overton pushes the second down the ground for four.

The Somerset captain then heaves the next ball for six over cow corner.

That's got the home supporters excited.

They'll need plenty more of that, you'd think. The lead moves to 47.

  10. Postpublished at 15:01 BST 21 June

    Sussex 159 & 98-3 Hampshire 191 & 220

Hampshire think they have it, they believe Scott Currie has caught out Tom Alsop (41).

Umpire Michael Burns at square leg has the better view of it, and he has given not out. So Alsop remains in this match.

  11. 50 runs

50 fof Gus Millerpublished at 14:57 BST 21 June

    Durham 405 v Northants 450 and 95-2

Quite a moment. Take a bow Augustus Horatio Miller.

Just hours after a broken finger for captain Luke Procter saw him dropped in as a late sub, the opener has crunched his way to a maiden first class half century.

If life is about luck you have to be ready to grab the moment when it arrives and 'Gus' has grabbed his with both hands.

His 50, up with a backfoot punch through point for four, has taken 66 balls.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:53 BST 21 June

    Vaughan c Davies b Gilchrist 7 (Somerset 208 & 148-6 v Warks 330)

    Warwickshire move a step closer.

Archie Vaughan is furious and smacks his bat into the ground as he becomes the sixth Somerset wicket to fall.

Nathan Gilchrist sets the short-ball trap and Vaughan can't resist, but top-edges the pull through to wicketkeeper Alex Davies.

The home side lead is a fragile 26 as skipper Craig Overton walks to the crease. Can he supply a counter-attack?

  13. 50 for Popepublished at 14:50 BST 21 June

    Glamorgan 358 v Surrey 105 & 231-4

Ollie Pope has his half-century. It is 50 from 95 balls as Surrey move to 231-4.

It is Pope's third fifty of the summer, and on that Glamorgan immediately take a new ball.

    Surrey only trail by 22...

Good to see so many games not ending as a draw.

    Baltos, St Leonards on Sea

Let’s pull together Lancs fans - it’s going to be a huge struggle from finishing bottom of the County Championship and the T20 division

    Paul, Manchester

Spineless from Lancs yet again. How the mighty have fallen.

WICKETpublished at 14:47 BST 21 June

    Bess c R Patel b A Patel 40 (Leics 453 v Yorks 185 & 162-9)

    One to go.

No consolation of a half-century for Dom Bess as he goes back to play through the offside but nicks Ajay Patel to Rishi Patel at first slip.

Jack White is last man. One wicket needed for just a third-ever innings victory for Leicestershire over the White Rose.

  16. Postpublished at 14:44 BST 21 June

    Leics 453 v Yorks 185 & 162-8

Rehan Ahmed back into the attack for Leicestershire and flights one across Dan Moriarty and into his pad.

The England spinner jogs down the wicket and turns in appeal. Doing too much.

Spin at both ends and two spinners in bat as Ajaz Patel continues.

Dom Bess crunches an overpitched delivery through the covers for four to go to 40.

    The deficit stands at 106.

  17. get involved

Get Involved - Stokes & Atkinson withdrawn from county gamespublished at 14:41 BST 21 June

Two players are withdrawn halfway through a match that finishes tomorrow because they might be picked for a Test match that doesn't start until Thursday. The powers that be could not more clearly display their disdain for the County Championship.

    Clive, London

Once again, the ECB and England management show a lack of respect for county cricket and its supporters, pulling out players in the middle of games.

    Dave R, High Wycombe

Durham Member here. The ECB, in withdrawing Ben Stokes from our match with Northants, have again shown their contempt for County Cricket. Disgraceful!

    George, Chester-Le-Street

  18. Postpublished at 14:39 BST 21 June

    Somerset 208 & 140-5 v Warks 330

Thomas Rew clips off his pads to Nathan Gilchrist's first ball and picks up a sixth boundary move to 33.

The young Somerset wicketkeeper is in good form with the bat, picking up a maiden first-class century at Trent Bridge last weekend.

He also looked good for 35 in the first knock here before shouldering arms and being trapped by Beau Webster.

A couple from Archie Vaughan takes Somerset effectively to 18-5.

  19. Postpublished at 14:38 BST 21 June

    Essex 184 & 122-6 v Notts 457

Lots of appeals going in from Notts with the Essex pair of Charlie Allison and Luc Benkenstein under the pump here.

Olly Stone is the latest to enquire after hitting Benkenstein on the pad but the ball looked to be going down and the ump gives a quick tilt of the chin by way of a response.

  20. 100 partnership for Brookes & Waitepublished at 14:36 BST 21 June

    Worcs 331-6 v Glos 289

Worcestershire batters Ethan Brookes and Matthew Waite are in the groove at a sunny New Road.

They are both on 62 not out - Waite has got there in about 100 balls fewer - and they duo have together rubbed out the deficit and are now building a decent lead for the hosts.

They are almost 50 ahead now.
