Durham all out for 405 v Northants

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Callum Parkinson and Ollie Robinson put on 58 for Durham's 10th wicket and took them to 400 and a fourth batting point.

That equalled the bonus points picked up by Northants in this one.

Robinson was dropped on 78 by Ben Sanderson in the deep, to bring up the 400!

But moments later he fell to a great catch by George Bartlett on the square leg boundary, to depart for 84, his highest score of the season. Liam Guthrie was the bowler. Parkinson ended up on 19.

The deficit is 45 runs and Northants will have 10 minutes to bat before lunch.

    Robinson c Barlett b Guthrie 84 (Durham 405 v Northants 450)

And Durham's brave resistance is over as Ollie Robinson pulls Liam Guthrie to deep square leg where George Bartlett takes the catch.

So at the halfway stage the hosts trail by 45 runs.

Back in 10 for the Northants second innings.

    Wharton b Patel 33 (Leics 453 v Yorks 185 & 96-6)

    The Foxes are closing in.

A bit of confusion at the mode of dismissal but James Wharton is trudging off.

It looked initially like lbw, but Ajaz Patel seems to have sneaked one through a small gap between bat and pad and finds the off stump.

Dom Bess joins George Hill for mission impossible.

  4. Four batting bonus pointspublished at 12:38 BST 21 June

    Durham 400-9 v Northants 450

Ollie Robinson follows this delivery from James Sales as it comes at his body and fends into the on side for two runs, enough to bring up the 400 and a fourth batting bonus point.

    Sussex 159 & 29-1 v Hampshire 411

One of Sussex's most important batters Daniel Hughes seems to be getting a bit frustrated here, but he responds with a shot to the boundary.

It is slow progress for Sussex at the moment, as they sit on 29/1 - every run is going to be crucial.

  6. wicket

    Shaw c Barnard b Suthar 22 (Somerset 208 & 80-4 v Warks 330)

The hole gets a little deeper for Somerset.

The nightwatch vigil of Josh Shaw is over after a decent hand of 22.

He looks to turn Manav Suthar into the legside but it spins and catches the outside edge. Ed Barnard takes a lovely catch down low at first slip.

The slow left-arm of Suthar has a third wicket.

  7. 50 runs

50 up for Joe Moorespublished at 12:35 BST 21 June

    Derbyshire 364 v Lancashire 161 & 225-9

Joe Moores takes 20 from the over with two sixes and two fours to race to his half-century.

The 17-year-old has really caught the eye and helped his team avoid an innings defeat and given them a lead of 22.

    Somerset 208 & 80-3 v Warks 330

Aussie all-rounder Beau Webster was the pick of the Bears bowlers in the first innings with 4-23 and he's into the attack, replacing first-change Jordan Thompson.

He looks to tempt Lewis Goldsworthy outside off stump, but the Somerset man is having absolutely nothing to do with it.

  9. The Foxes close in while Yorkshire strugglepublished at 12:29 BST 21 June

Josh Davey has taken three of Leicestershire's five wickets

It's been as if Leicestershire and Yorkshire have been playing in different games in this match.

Yorkshire just haven't got a grasp of how to bat or bowl on the pitch. The Foxes' bowlers have got far more out of the surface and have bowled better lines, and understood that on a slow surface, the best option was to throw hands at bad balls, and otherwise dig in.

The Tykes, meanwhile, have played down the wrong line for a lot of their dismissals, and have felt a bit tentative. After young Alex Green castled Jonny Bairstow, you felt defeat became a matter of if, not when.

Their season, it seems, has been charactierised by inconsistency. An innings win against Surrey, a solid performance in a Warwickshire draw, and now defeat to the bottom side, doesn't paint a picture of a side that can truly challenge for the title.

  10. 400 up for Middlesexpublished at 12:28 BST 21 June

    Kent 416 v Middlesex 407-7

Kent eventually break the Middlesex partnership with Zafar Gohar departing for 95.

Max Holden is still going on 182 as Middlesex pick up a fourth batting point.

Holden and Gohar put on 238 for that seventh wicket.

    Durham 386-9 v Northants 450

Ollie Robinson (68) and Callum Parkinson (16) have done well here nudging the Durham total up from 347 when Matthew Potts was out.

The new ball was only five overs old at that stage but they have knocked the shine off it and pushed to within 14 of a fourth batting bonus point.

    Elgar lbw b Stone 42 (Essex 184 & 65-4 v Notts 457)

Olly Stone thought he had his man in the last over but was denied when the umpire decided the ball had pitched outside leg.

But he gets Dean Elgar now with a ball that has landed in line with middle and hit the opener in front of middle and off stump.

Elgar looks skyward in frustration but there really was no element of doubt whatsoever about that one.

    Leics 453 v Yorks 185 & 85-5

We'll have a first look at spin as Ajaz Patel has a twirl, replacing Ben Green after his long opening burst this morning.

New batter George Hill is forward in defence to see out a maiden.

Alex Green is in hunting a third wicket and wraps James Wharton a painful blow on the left hand, trapping it against the handle.

He goes for a walk attempting to shake off the pain and calls for the physio.

  14. Postpublished at 12:22 BST 21 June

    Derbyshire 364 v Lancashire 161 & 205-9 - Lancs lead by two runs

Joe Moores hits one into the stands for six to take Lancashire over 200 and ensure Derbyshire will have to bat again.

Moores' 36 is Lancashire's second highest score of the innings after Marcus Harris' 58.

  15. Close... so close.published at 12:19 BST 21 June

    Essex 184 & 61-3 v Notts 457

Huge appeal, and we mean a HUGE appeal from Olly Stone as he bangs Dean Elgar (42) in front.

There is absolutely no doubt that would have flattened middle stump but the umpire indicates that was pitching a fraction outside leg stump.

With Stone coming over the wicket to the left hander that is always a possibility. Fine margins and Stone is fizzing.

As he gets his cap and jumper at the end of the over the discussion continues with the man in the hat.

  16. wicket

    Hadley b Lawrence 0 (Glamorgan 358 v 105 & 145-4)

    Huge wicket for Glamorgan.

Dan Lawrence who has 788 runs this season has been bowled for 0, it nips back off stump, and this very good for Glamorgan.

They would have taken that this morning getting Lawrence out this early on.

    Kohler-Cadmore st Davies b Suthar 12 (Somerset 208 & 69-3 v Warks 330)

    Another for the Bears!

Tom Kohler-Cadmore reaches forward to slap Manav Suthar through the covers but is beaten by turn.

TKC has inched slightly out of his crease and Alex Davies whips off the bails. Nice work.

Lewis Goldsworthy top-scored with 90 in the first innings and Somerset need a big knock from him again. They're still 53 behind.

We might have a few more cricket fans heading over to the page now after England's Test against New Zealand was wrapped up a bit quicker than expected.

Matt Henry rattled through England's batters to give New Zealand the win inside 50 minutes this morning.

That levels the series at 1-1.

So today is all about the County Championship from now on!

  19. wicket

    Cooke c Chahar b Kellaway 36 (Glamorgan 358 v 105 & 144-3)

Rahul Chahar has played it of the back foot and he has gone for 36, and Glamorgan have the break through.

It was great ball from Ben Kellaway, but Chahar has played very well this morning two balls prior he had played a lovely sweeping shot to the boundary.

  20. drinks break

Drinks breakpublished at 12:06 BST 21 June

    Essex 184 & 55-3 v Notts 457

Welcome pause for the players on a warm morning in Chelmsford and a chance for Notts to try and work out a way to break a partnership that is building nicely.

Dean Elgar and Tom Westley are up to 31 between them as Essex still trail by 218.

Liam Patterson-White will bowl the first over as they restart.
