Who's that being mobbed leaving Court Two?! Only the fast-rising Rafa Jodar, after beating Pablo Carreno Busta in five sets.

The Spanish teenager has had an incredible couple of months, reaching the top 30, and the fans down here know he won't be on the smaller courts for much longer.

He faces a qualifier next and he could play Jannik Sinner in the fourth round. He is one to watch.

  9. A good day for me - Swiatek on second-round winpublished at 15:02 BST 2 July

    Pliskova 1-6 3-6 Swiatek

Defending champion Iga Swiatek, speaking on Centre Court after beating Karolina Pliskova in straight sets: "I'm feeling more stable today - and that's good. The first round was really emotional for sure, but today I felt like it was another day in the office and I needed to be ready, be charge and make good decisions.

"It is always better when you're able to think like that and it was a good day for me. I was consistent and I had a good level of focus, so I'm really happy with my performance.

"Honestly, I just believed I could be the most solid player on court. Even when she was playing fast and flat, I knew that my spin gives me control. I had things to challenge her with and that gave me a lot of belief. In the moments when it got a little tight, I knew I could use it and I'm really happy about that."

On Martina Navratilova grading her performance an A+: "Wow! Thanks for that. When legends like that say nice things about you, it means a lot. It is basically why you try to be the best tennis player possible, so that people appreciate it. I'm really happy that she is saying that.

"I don't know if it was an A+ because at times it was a tricky game, especially with the wind. Sometimes the balls were really low and far away from you. I felt like I played so many dirty shots in that final game especially, I wasn't able to control them that much. So maybe not A+, more like B I would say."

    Fearnley v Munar

Jacob Fearnley's opponent Jaume Munar is ranked 44th in the world and a win today would take him into the third round at Wimbledon for the second time, the Spaniard having also got that far last year.

The 29-year-old's best Grand Slam showing was at the 2025 US Open, where he got to the fourth round.

Up next on Court One, it's men's second seed Alexander Zverev against Valentin Royer.

Zverev, the French Open champion, came through four tight sets to beat Alexander Blockx in round one and avoid back-to-back first-round exits in SW19.

Royer, eyeing his maiden appearance in the third round of a major, came from a set down to beat Britain's Henry Wendelken in four.

    Fearnley v Munar

If Jacob Fearnley wins today, it will be third time in the Open era (since 1968) that multiple British wildcards have reached the third round of the men's singles at Wimbledon.

The other occasions were in 1993 (Andrew Foster and Chris Wilkinson) and 1997 (Mark Petchey and Andrew Richardson).

Arthur Fery is already through to the third round after his four-set win over Otto Virtanen earlier today.

Jacob Fearnley is about to walk on court for his second-round match against Spain's Jaume Munar on court 12.

He said his stunning comeback win over Alex Michelsen in the first round at Wimbledon justified his decision to pull out of Eastbourne last week with a back problem.

The 24-year-old came from two sets down to win in five sets and progress to the second round, where he will meet Spain's Jaume Munar.

"Eastbourne is a big event but I knew I wanted to be ready for Wimbledon and I wanted to play my best tennis at Wimbledon," said Fearnley. "That's why I made the decision and it paid off."

Injury problems have been a factor in Fearnley's slip down the rankings in the past 12 months. He was inside the world's top 50 just before Wimbledon last year but began this year's tournament ranked 159th in the world.

You can watch his upcoming match on the BBC iPlayer.

  17. 'I wouldn't be where I am without Wimbledon'published at 14:50 BST 2 July

    Swan 1-6 4-6 Keys

Madison Keys, speaking after straight-sets win over Britain's Katie Swan: "Always an honour to play on court one here. Even if the crowd are cheering for my opponent it's always fun play in front of them. Such an amazing atmosphere. When Katie hits a great shot and the crowd cheers, it echoes incredibly. It's an incredible atmosphere to play in year after year.

"To win another title at Eastbourne was amazing. I won my first title there many years ago so to be able to win another was incredible.

"I have petitioned to move the Eastbourne courts to Wimbledon! I don't if anyone can make that happen, but I am hoping to go deep here at Wimbledon again.

"Wimbledon is always one of the most special places in the world. I started playing tennis because I saw Venus [Williams] play at Wimbledon. I quite literally wouldn't be here without this tournament. Such an honour to come back every year and walk the grounds, see the history of the tournament. It's one of those things you dream of as a kid."
