Ohhh, having done all the hard work, Jacob Fearnley drops his serve for a second time and this time it costs him the set.

Three double faults in that first set for the Briton, including one in that decisive game.

  2. 'Great strength of character'published at 15:46 BST 2 July

Jacob Fearnley breaks back! What a fightback from the Briton in this match.

The first set looked done and dusted with Jaume Munar serving for it, but Fearnley will serve to level things up. He showed great strength of character there.

Nobody is leaving their seats around court 12 at the moment, they are thoroughly engaged in this contest now.

  3. Zverev holds to lovepublished at 15:45 BST 2 July

    Zverev 6-1 1-0 Royer*

Alexander Zverev breezes through a hold to start the second set.

Curiously, the big-serving second seed is yet to hit an ace.

After Jacob Fearnley slipped at the back of the court after being put through his paces once again by Jaume Munar, the Spaniard checked to see if his opponent was OK and Fearnley quickly dismissed any concerns.

The Briton was cheered as he rose back to his feet, and even more loudly after seeing off break points to force Munar to serve out the set.

‘Let’s go!’ he told himself - and this is much more like it!

Fearnley fires back, and maybe now the British public will be happy for me to stay a little longer.

When Fearnley manages to not be pushed too far around the court, he's wonderful to watch. Munar has forced him to move around so much, he's struggled to deal with it.

    *Fearnley 4-5 Munar

In the nick of time, Jacob Fearnley gets the break back to keep him alive in the first set.

That's a really good effort from Jacob Fearnley. Jaume Munar was once again piling on the pressure, hitting and coming forward.

When you're serving out sets, the arm can start feeling slightly heavier and the nerves can kick in... Let's see what happens here.

  10. Set point Zverevpublished at 15:40 BST 2 July

    Zverev 5-1 Royer*

Valentin Royer tries to go out wide on Alexander Zverev's forehand but his serve is right in the zone for the German. The return is deep, catching Royer on his heels, and he'll have another opportunity to clinch the set.

A lazy forehand from Alexander Zverev.

    Zverev 5-1 Royer*

Valentin Royer is hitting everything into Alexander Zverev's arc - admittedly, the German is 6ft 6.

Lovely forehand winner for advantage and set point.

  15. Deucepublished at 15:38 BST 2 July

    Zverev 5-1 Royer*

Loose striking from Valentin Royer. He's on course for his first hold since the opening game of the match at 40-15 but then it all goes a bit skew-whiff.

  16. 'Fearnley has good reactions'published at 15:38 BST 2 July

Jaume Munar is doing the right thing here. He is trying to put some pressure on the second serves of Jacob Fearnley.

Munar is piling it on, but Fearnley has good reactions.

  17. 'Double faults a real problem for Fearnley'published at 15:38 BST 2 July

    *Fearnley 2-5 Munar

    Sara Orchard

The double faults have been a real problem for Fearnley in this game. They've all come at crucial moments.

  18. Zverev holdspublished at 15:36 BST 2 July

    Zverev 5-1 Royer*

Alexander Zverev cruises to a 40-0 lead but hits a couple of impatient forehands - one wild and wide, the other into the base of the net - to bring Valentin Royer back into the game.

Royer finally tries to mix things up, putting in a drop shot with Zverev behind the baseline. But the German is quickly up to it and Royer's lob goes long. Still, nice to see something a bit different.

I’ve just arrived on court 12 to see if Jacob Fearnley can join fellow Briton Arthur Fery in the third round.

But immediately I appear to have jinxed him as Fearnley falters on serve and is broken in the first set against a pumped-up Jaume Munar.

The large stand opposite me is completely packed for this one and there’s no shortage of shouts of encouragement for Fearnley after his setback.

I've been taking a look at Arthur Fery's live ranking. He is 106th in the world now and if he wins in the next round then he could break into the top 100 for the first time in his career.

It will be such a monumental task, but he has great balance and ability to hit with accuracy. He doesn't make stupid mistakes and he always makes really good shot selection.

But winning two matches at Wimbledon is unbelievable - he must be so emotional.
