The cameras continue to pan to Anderson. There's a bit of a hole on the crease where he lands when bowling. Maybe he just jarred his ankle a little.

After two balls of his latest over, Broad is complaining to the umpire about a similar issue. On comes the groundsman with one of those bashers.

I want to see Jofra Archer come in and be mean over four overs. Just run in and concentrate on bowling quick.

Jimmy Anderson said on the latest episode of Tailenders that he was singing Dua Lipa in his head when he bowled that over in Chennai in the first Test.

I hope it's something cheery today. He'll need it.

Halfway through this over he stops to feel his ankle and winces.

England need Broad and Anderson to get this ball to talk. They have the skills and they need to find that attitude to fire them up.

There are couple of things worrying me about England.

The batting and the frame of mind of those who played in the last Test and then those who were arguing with the umpire in the middle about that catch.

If you break down the logic of that, he was the one who initially gave it out and can't do anything about the third umpire's decision.

Rohit Sharma delights this 40,000-strong crowd with a cover drive that races away. He thinks he's Zak Crawley, that lad.

I hope England had a nice break. No doubt someone like Silverwood would try and get them back focused on the job.

Precisely. As Sam says, case closed.

Stuart Broad has the ball in hand.

This is really simple. We have dinner ladies, not lunch ladies, in the UK, so it's dinner and tea, case closed.

Ben Stokes is leading the conversation in an England huddle by the boundary edge. Someone has to step up.

There's a rope going around the field during this supper break. The issue of dew has been mentioned. It may stop the ball swinging which I am sure will do nothing to lift the mood in a grumpy England camp.

Anyway, this cricket match... Do England have any hope?

I don't. I have dinner and then tea.

Just a few minutes now until play restarts. England need wickets. Lots of them.

This may be controversial but day-night cricket, in places where it is warm enough to sit out and watch, is absolutely great.

You have your dinner in the middle of the day. This is absolutely not dinner. End of.

    It'll have to be supper.
