Drinks breakpublished at 12:24 GMT 24 February 2021

    Eng 104-8

I'd almost forgotten Ben Foakes was out there, nudging and fudging, trying to survive. He has five from 40 balls. Drinks. England have called for absinthe.

That is what I call an ego-driven review from Ashwin because he didn't get his man in the last review.

Former England spinner on The Cricket Social

That was a shocking review from India.

  4. Not outpublished at 12:21 GMT 24 February 2021

    Eng 104-8

An awful, awful review. Not close enough to know if they were interested in a bat-pad catch or the leg before.

Honestly, I haven't seen a review as bad as that since film critics saw Cats.

  5. India reviewpublished at 12:20 GMT 24 February 2021

    Eng 104-8

Erm, I'm not entirely sure what India have seen in this...

  6. Not outpublished at 12:19 GMT 24 February 2021

    I'm so sorry, Stuart.

Silence in the world's biggest cricket stadium as the review shows the turn would have taken it past off stump.

It might be going down leg although I'm not sure if it spun enough.

  8. England reviewpublished at 12:18 GMT 24 February 2021

    Eng 104-9

It's Stuart Broad, so the review is inevitable (stick that on your British culture list).

    This is surely out, though...

  9. How's stat?!published at 12:17 GMT 24 February 2021

    Andy Zaltzman
Test Match Special statistician on The Cricket Social

Ravi Ashwin now has 20 wickets in the series at an average of 16.03.

  10. Eng 103-8published at 12:15 GMT 24 February 2021

The floodlights have come on at 17:38 local time. Virat Kohli is fielding at silly point without any pads on his legs. A decent drive from Foakes and that would put Virat out for the rest of the series.

There's a lot of chatter around the bat from the close fielders. It's funny now, but you just wait until you see how cold it is at Old Trafford in September. Broad goes on the sweep. I'd give every rice cake in the house to see Broad bat for 45 minutes.

It hasn't gone well. England got into the mindset where they didn't know if it's turning or not.

Have you tried salt and vinegar rice cakes? Unreal. Lots of crumbs, but so worth it.

It actually makes you think how well Zak Crawley batted. It shows there are runs on this wicket.

    Stuart Broad is batting!

This has been a very disappointing day for England. There are no complaints about this pitch. There has been skilful bowling and some scars from the last match.

    Leach c Kohli b Ashwin 3 (Eng 98-8)

    Confirmed.

England are lemmings off a cliff.

A prod forward from Jack Leach, thick edge to gully, Virat Kohli does the rest.

Timid doesn't even come close to describing this England diplay.
