This should be the last over that Mitchell Marsh needs to bowl. Chris Woakes greets him with a belt down the ground for four. England are getting away again.

Andy Ticehurst: Well batted Jonny Bairstow, one of his best innings for England, in my opinion. Has kept his head superbly whilst the rest were falling around him.

The boundaries are a bit like club cricket. On one side, tiny. On the other, miles. Woakes targets Cummins to the short one and gets a boundary. It's a good day to have right-hand, left-hand combos at the crease.

In the series Adam Zampa has ended up with 10-142 off 30 overs. Prior to this series in five innings against England he'd taken 2-267.

The 10 wickets he's taken ties the Australian record for most wickets in a one-day competition or series against England. Shane Warne had 10 but in seven matches in January and February 1999.

Kieran Unitt: Regarding the chips and gravy at the Black Country museum, you can’t beat them! Then again, you go to 90% of the chippys in the Black Country, have orange chips and gravy and trust me, you’ll never want anything else.

Adil Rashid is going to have fun on this deck. Even Zampa is turning his leg-breaks. England might already have something close to a decent total. Zampa ends with 3-51.

I've just seen a replay of the Bairstow wicket and there was some definite turn there. England will be buoyed by that. They expect this wicket to wear and turn more as the game goes on and that's a positive sign.

This is Zampa's last over. This pair of England all-rounders are playing him with some interesting footwork, as if their shoelaces have been tied together.

It's frustrating for England to lose that wicket - particularly of Bairstow who would have been looking to bat through the innings. It's not all doom and gloom for England with Tom Curran and Adil Rashid to come and they can get England up to a decent score here.

  11. Eng 221-6published at 41 overs

Tom Curran is the new man. England need something similar to what he produced on Sunday. Curran, with all of his tricks, will have watched that Bairstow wicket with interest. This pitch will not be easy for a runchase. TV pictures say that the ball moved about the width of a set of stumps. Murali would have been proud of it.

It's really well bowled. It's just turned through the gate, an off-spinner would be proud of that delivery. He's just deceived Jonny Bairstow.

    Bairstow b Cummins 112 (Eng 220-6)

What a delivery! Pat Cummins has cleaned up Jonny Bairstow with a slower ball the equal of Steve Harmison in 2005. It's basically an off-break, biting off the surface, bowling Bairstow through the gate. JB can't believe it, staring into the ether like a man who has just been Tangoed. What a time for Australia to strike.

I think 300 is a minimum for England on this pitch and with the short boundary. They will know for a fact that 300 is par and they'll be wanting more.

  15. Eng 220-5published at 40 overs

Only five runs in the past two overs since the wicket. Brakes have been tickled. Last 10 coming up.

Will: Chris Woakes is one, maybe two, spots too high coming in at 7 in an ODI batting line-up. Doesn't have enough shots for the 50-over game to come in that high - I'd prefer Tom Curran in that spot if we have to have a bowler there.

There have been 14 bowling changes in the innings so far. That's quite a lot for a one-day international - certainly more than we've seen in the first two.

Aaron Finch has chopped and changed his bowlers quite often - they are only bowling one or two over spells.

  20. Eng 216-5published at 39 overs

Australia use the fall of the wicket as an opportunity to burgle an over from Mitchell Marsh. After four dots, Woakes gets frustrated and hacks to long-on for a single. Cheap one for Australia.
