Looking at England's strength in the tail end - it's been a feature of this team really since the revolution of English one-day cricket since the 2015 World Cup.

There numbers 8-11 have comfortably been the most effective in world cricket, collectively averaging 21. Chris Woakes has been a big part of that, going at a strike-rate of 97.

After the fall of the sixth wicket, England's partnerships have averaged 27, the next best is Pakistan at 22, and they've scored at 6.7 runs an over. It's been a huge strength.

Josh Hazlewood is doing a job at the death. To go boundary-free in the 48th over is a very good effort.

Mark: Chips with gravy is the reason why we can't have nice things. Gravy is only for roast dinners. End of.

  4. Eng 273-7published at 47.3 overs

Good from Hazlewood. Rashid only getting thin air with his swiping.

  5. Eng 272-7published at 47 overs

Woakes has 33 from 28 balls. Useful. I reckon this is a good total for England.

That's a really excellent stroke from Chris Woakes. That's a fair old hit out there, it's very well played indeed.

  7. Eng 271-6published at 46.4 overs

What a shot this is from Chris Woakes. Up and over extra cover for four to the one of the longest parts of the ground.

Adil 'hits it in strange places' Rashid is the new man.

Those are useful runs from Tom Curran. He had a swish and it was a full toss when it went past him.

What a response from Mitchell Starc. Perfect yorker. Base of off stump

Fetch it! Tom Curran baseballs Mitchell Starc for six over left-field.

Phil: Chips with gravy is the reason bees have knees.

  13. Eng 260-6published at 46 overs

Inventive from Chris Woakes. Knowing Josh Hazlewood was going to go short, he backs off and cuts over backward point for a much-needed boundary. This stand is worth 40.

If England can keep knocking it around and get close to 300 I think they will be over the moon with that, especially the skipper Eoin Morgan after the start they had.

The wicket is getting drier and a bit more difficult to bat on.

Battered roe? Mitchell Starc returns and concedes only three singles.

Matt Griffiths: You don't need to go to the museum for orange chips. The whole of the Black Country sell and eat orange chips! But it's better with curry sauce, not gravy. And a battered roe too.

Between them, Marsh and Maxwell have bowled 10 overs, 0-48. That's a decent return from the 'fifth bowler'. In fact, those 10 will be more economical than the spells of the frontline four. It will probably be Starc and Hazlewood all the way from here.

Pat Cummins has gone at over six an over in the series as a whole. In fact, it's his most expensive one-day series since his debut.
