Small margins, and quite often mistakes, have been the difference so far.

  3. What's the forecast?published at 12:44 BST 16 September 2020

We haven't got the glorious blue skies and heavenly temperatures that we had on Sunday but we do have a clear day, which is fantastic news.

It would have been a real shame if this game, and the series, was left undecided because of the weather.

  5. Postpublished at 12:39 BST 16 September 2020

Australia captain Aaron Finch: "We'd have batted first too but it looks a reasonably dry wicket and when the lights take effect, it can skid on. Steve Smith had a long hit yesterday and pulled up a little groggy. When you're dealing with a head injury, you want to be cautious."

  6. 'It's hard for Sam Curran to take' - Morganpublished at 12:37 BST 16 September 2020

England captain Eoin Morgan: "We think it's a good wicket with a short boundary to one side, hopefully we can capitalise on that.

"Sam [Curran] is a very talented and versatile cricketer who gives us a lot of options, it's hard for him to take but we've gone with the extra pace.

"The win on Sunday will give us a huge amount of confidence. The bowling line-up progressed throughout the World Cup last year and continuing to explore that before the next World Cup is going to be important."

On getting all of this summer's fixtures in: "It's been incredible - our thanks go out to all the teams who came over and took the leap of faith and left it in the ECB's hands. The ECB have done an incredible job. It's been a special year to achieve all of our games."
