  2. Moore blowpublished at 20:35 GMT 29 December 2025

    Wrexham 1-0 Preston North End

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras

A real blow for Wrexham on the stroke of half-time as Kieffer Moore - who provided that wonderful cross for Nathan Broadhead's opener - is forced off through injury.

Only Southampton's Adam Armstrong has scored more than Moore's tally of 10 league goals so far this season.

  3. Postpublished at 20:35 GMT 29 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-0 Southampton

Willum Thor Willumsson meets a ball to the near post for Birmingham but steers his effort a long way over the bar.

Camiel Neghli gives Millwall the lead against Bristol CityImage source, PA Media

Camiel Neghli's third goal of the season means Millwall lead at the break.

Anis Mehmeti and Sinclair Armstrong have both forced saves out of home goalkeeper Max Crocombe and Rob Atkinson has headed over the bar.

The Lions are on course to end a four-game winless streak and move back into the top six.

  6. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 GMT 29 December 2025

    Portsmouth 0-0 Charlton

All square at the break. A fairly low-event first 45 minutes and work for both sides to do in the second period if they want to take what be a very valuable three points in the relegation scrap.

  7. Postpublished at 20:32 GMT 29 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Sheff Utd

A rare sight of goal in this half for the hosts, but Sorba Thomas wastes his opening by choosing to head rather than take the ball down.

Michael Cooper makes the save and this one remains goalless.

  8. 'Blues will be pleased so far'published at 20:32 GMT 29 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-0 Southampton

    Richard Wilford
    BBC Radio WM commentator

The Blues fans are in full voice at the moment, they'll be pleased with what they've seen so far.

It's pretty composed stuff - Stansfield looks sharp.

  9. HALF-TIMEpublished at 20:32 GMT 29 December 2025

    Sheff Wed 0-0 Blackburn

This one has gone a bit scrappy as the half-time whistle sounds.

Barry Bannan with the best chance of the half, but there are no goals to report from Hillsborough.

  10. Postpublished at 20:31 GMT 29 December 2025

    Millwall 1-0 Bristol City

Just the two minutes added on at the end of this first period at The Den.

  11. Postpublished at 20:31 GMT 29 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-0 Southampton

File this under very, very ambitious by Paik Seung-ho. He let's fly from a long way out for Blues and that's sailed into the fans behind the goal without remotely troubling Saints keeper Gavin Bazunu.

    Leicester 2-1 Derby

We are into four minutes of time added on.

    It's a lively contest.

  13. Postpublished at 20:30 GMT 29 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-0 Southampton

Southampton are just trying to settle the game down with some sustained possession. Birmingham are content to let the Saints have it in their own half at the moment.

  14. Postpublished at 20:29 GMT 29 December 2025

    Middlesbrough 0-1 Hull

Hull are really digging in and trying to soak up pressure from the home side who are beginning to dominate the ball.

Tigers goalkeeper Ivor Pandur not called into action, however, as of yet.

  15. Postpublished at 20:29 GMT 29 December 2025

    Portsmouth 0-0 Charlton

A couple of efforts - one for either side. First Pompey's Marlon Pack fires straight at the wall from a free-kick about 25 yards out.

Charlton then launch a quick counter-attack and Tyreece Campbell gets on the end of Amari'i Bell's ball into the box but can only head wide of the mark.

  16. YELLOW CARDpublished at 20:28 GMT 29 December 2025

    Millwall 1-0 Bristol City

Tristan Crama is the third man in blue shown a yellow card.

  17. Postpublished at 20:27 GMT 29 December 2025

    Stoke 0-0 Sheff Utd

The visitors are well on top here, and there's finally a clear-cut chance to show for it.

A ball from from the right by Femi Seriki finds Callum O'Hare free in the box, but the effort is too high to trouble Viktor Johansson's net.

  18. A goal, but not how you'd thinkpublished at 20:26 GMT 29 December 2025

    Wrexham 1-0 Preston North End

    Ian Mitchelmore
BBC Sport Wales at Stok Cae Ras

Wrexham's Nathan Broadhead (left) scoresImage source, PA Media

    Incredible.

Ben Sheaf grafts so hard to rob Daniel Jebbison of the ball, and then Wrexham attack.

Kieffer Moore puts in a peach of a cross from the right, and Nathan Broadhead heads into the bottom corner to put the hosts ahead.

It's fair to say, few would predict the goal scorer and assister would be that way around from that scenario!

  19. goal

GOAL Leicester 2-1 Derbypublished at 20:26 GMT 29 December 2025

    Jordan James (41 mins)

    Back in front.

Jordan James chases a ball down the left and he just eases Sondre Langas out of the way before beating Jacob Widell Zetterstrom.

That is now seven goals for James this season.

  20. 'Massive let off for Saints'published at 20:26 GMT 29 December 2025

    Birmingham 0-0 Southampton

    Adam Blackmore
    BBC Radio Solent sports editor

That is a massive let off for the Saints, Furuhashi really should have scored.

It's a good pass on the turn, they get in behind and it fortunately goes wide.

    Southampton should be behind.
