Southampton are looking really solid all over the pitch this afternoon, defensively they have looked solid and going forward they look like they could get even more today.

Tonda Eckert has totally changed this team since his introduction as interim boss, they look a completely different side compared to any of their games under Will Still.

Birmingham City's players and fans look a tad shocked and worried at how dominant Saints have been, that being said there is still a long way to go in this game.

    Adam Armstrong (24 mins)

And now Saints other red hot striker joins the party.

It's four in five games for Adam Armstrong who fires home to double the home side's lead.

Armstrong takes a pot shot from outside the area and beats James Beadle, sneaking it in inside the far post.

That was a weak effort from the Birmingham keeper who went down like a tree trunk. He got hands to it and should never have been beaten from there.

But what a start for the hosts.

Older Wednesday fans will have bad memories of Rovers putting seven past them at Ewood in 1997. Sadly, Rovers don't have Ripley, Wilcox, Sutton and Gallacher in the lineup today.

    Sheff Utd 1-0 Stoke

Mark McGuinness's first goal for the Blades still all that separates these two sides.

As good as Sheffield United's recent form has been, Stoke have been going through a bit of a wobble.

Should the score remain the same, it would be the Potters' fourth defeat in five Championship games.
