Going a goal down won’t faze us in the slightest. We’ve won 3 of our last 5 after going a goal down. Coventry to win 3-1 and win the league with 100 points and 100 goals.

Big 45 minutes incoming for Frank Lampard...

This is the seventh time Coventry have fallen behind in 19 games this season but they have taken 13 points from those previous six games, winning four of them.

    Can they do it again?

Only Watford have come from behind to earn more points, their lunchtime win over Norwich made it 18 points recovered from losing positions, although they have come in 13 matches in which the Hornets have fallen behind.

  9. 'Blades unrelenting, Potters a non-entity'published at 16:02 GMT 6 December 2025

    HT: Sheff Utd 3-0 Stoke

    Sanny Rudravajhala
BBC Radio 5 Live at Bramall Lane

As it was at Leicester, Sheffield United are 3-0 up at half-time. They have been unrelenting.

Gus Hamer is getting a lot of joy down the left and it was his corner from the opposite flank that gave the Blades the lead.

Why wasn't Mark McGuinness marked? And why did Stoke allow that same scenario a subsequent four times too?

It was from another corner that saw Femi Seriki score his first career goal. And what a hit it was! The whole stadium was singing his name after he steadied himself into the D and found the top right corner beyond Viktor Johansson.

And just to put the cherry on top of this first half showing, Seriki was able to stand the ball up for Patrick Bamford to steal in and head home. That was his second in four games.

As for Stoke, they have been a non-entity so far.

  10. How it standspublished at 16:01 GMT 6 December 2025

Ipswich will be the big climbers if things stay as they are - but leaders Coventry still have 45 minutes to change that of course.

At the bottom, Sheffield United, Blackburn and Swansea are all heading towards important wins to move clear of trouble.

    HT: Swansea 2-0 Oxford

    Gareth Vincent
BBC Sport Wales at the Swansea.com Stadium

That is surely Swansea's goal of the season contest settled even with five months of the campaign remaining.

It was a beautiful strike from Josh Tymon, who picked out the top corner with a volley from 20 yards after Eom Ji-sung's corner was half-cleared.

Swansea have suddenly take control of this contest - although Gary Rowett may remind his players that the Welsh side were 2-0 up at half-time last weekend and lost.

  14. Okonkwo to the rescuepublished at 15:55 GMT 6 December 2025

HT: Preston North End 0-1 Wrexham

    Ian Mitchelmore

    Wow. Just wow.

    Arthur Okonkwo, take a bow.

He has just made two outstanding saves to deny Thierry Small.

The goalkeeper has been magnificent in this opening half, but Preston North End will be wondering how they go into the break behind.

  15. 'Goal would have really given us a lift'published at 15:54 GMT 6 December 2025

    HT: Ipswich 1-0 Coventry

    Mick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

That would have really given us a lift as we head for the dressing room.

We needed to take advantage to try and close the gap in the league.

There were no real signs, Coventry were playing very casually and confidently and would've been expecting to go into the half-time at 0-0.

The attacking play hasn't been great from either side but we got that goal.

  19. goal

GOAL: Swansea 2-0 Oxfordpublished at 15:50 GMT 6 December 2025

    Josh Tymon (45+4 mins)

Swansea have doubled their lead and it's a screamer from Josh Tymon.

A ball is swung in to the middle and partially cleared by Michal Helik who heads out to the edge of the box where Josh Tymon lines up a horizontal volley and picks out the far top corner.

What a strike this is. Left foot, leaning away from the ball and middles it beautifully.

  20. goal

GOAL: QPR 1-0 West Brompublished at 15:50 GMT 6 December 2025

    Jonathan Varane (40+4 min)

The Hoops leave it very late but take the lead right on half time through Jonathan Varane's first Championship goal of the season.

Nicolas Madsen plays the cross and the Frenchman darts forward from midfield to meet it and head into the bottom corner to give the hosts the lead at the break.
