    James McClean cleared one off the line from Liam Lindsay and keeper Arthur Okonkwo superbly denied Alfie Devine a leveller at the other end and produced a double stop to thwart Thierry Small on the stroke of half-time.

    Some tragic news to bring you now, we're sorry to report that the supporter who was taken ill at Charlton's game against Portsmouth this lunchtime has died.

    In a statement, the club said: "Charlton Athletic are devastated to report that a supporter has passed away following a medical emergency at The Valley today.

    "Everyone at the club sends their heartfelt condolences to the supporter’s family and friends at this incredibly difficult time."
