  1. 10 MINUTE DELAY AT EWOOD PARKpublished at 16:26 GMT 6 December 2025

    Blackburn 1-0 Sheff Wed

Fans have been told play has been halted for 10 minutes initially as ground staff work hard to try and remove water from the playing surface.

A decision over whether we will continue with the final half-hour will be taken then.

  2. Postpublished at 16:25 GMT 6 December 2025

    BBC Sport Wales at Deepdale

Preston fans. Ever get the feeling it's not going to be your day?

Thierry Small has just drilled a shot against the inside of the post.

After that good spell from Wrexham, the hosts are just starting to get back on top here.

    Still everything to play for.

  3. HITS THE WOODWORKpublished at 16:25 GMT 6 December 2025

    Preston 0-1 Wrexham

Preston as close as they have come to forcing an equaliser as Thierry Small, denied by Arthur Okonkwo in the first half, manages to beat the keeper this time, only for the ball to come back off the post before being scrambled away by the Red Dragons defence.

There was a short delay for a medical situation in the crowd but thankfully the supporter was OK and escorted out of the stands to recieve some attention.

Straight from the restart and QPR turn the ball over with Richard Kone in the Baggies' half.

He plays it to the in-form Rumarn Burrell, who fires into the bottom corner for his eighth goal of the season to tighten the Hoops' grip on the points.

  5. 'We just look short of something'published at 16:23 GMT 6 December 2025

    Ipswich 2-0 Coventry

    Steve Ogrizovic
Ex-Coventry City goalkeeper on BBC CWR

We just look short of something at the moment.

I think we need some legs in midfield, also Haji Wright who will score a goal for us.

  6. PLAY HALTED AT EWOOD PARKpublished at 16:21 GMT 6 December 2025

    Blackburn 1-0 Sheff Wed

    Oh no.

Play has been halted and ref Ruebyn Ricardo is in discussion with the managers. The players are heading back to the changing room for now.

Valerien Ismael has had this chat before, against Ipswich on 20 September, when his side led 1-0 after 80 minutes and later had to replay the whole game, just four days ago.

    Not again, surely?

  7. Wrexham have started second half wellpublished at 16:20 GMT 6 December 2025

    Preston North End 0-1 Wrexham

    Ian Mitchelmore
    BBC Sport Wales at Deepdale

They were under the cosh for a long spell in that first half after going ahead, but Wrexham have started this second half really well.

James McClean and Nathan Broadhead have both gone close to doubling the away side's lead.

Mercifully, the rain has finally started to ease off too.

  8. 'A beautiful run and a beautiful finish'published at 16:19 GMT 6 December 2025

    Ipswich 2-0 Coventry

    Mick Mills
Former Ipswich and England captain on BBC Radio Suffolk

A beautiful run and a beautiful finish.

It's the player Frank Lampard thought should have seen red.

They've started this second half as they finished the first.

  9. 'Brilliant noise inside St Mary's'published at 16:19 GMT 6 December 2025

    Southampton 3-1 Birmingham City

    Dan George
    BBC Sport at St Mary's

Wow, that was a stunning strike by Demarai Gray just moments ago...

But just as I'm typing this Saints have scored again and opened their lead back up to a two goal advantage.

There is a brilliant noise inside St Mary's as both sets of fans go back and forth after that one.

  10. goal

GOAL: Southampton 3-1 Birminghampublished at 16:17 GMT 6 December 2025

    Adam Armstrong (58 mins)

Well that didn't last long. No sooner had Birmingham halved the deficit than Saints have made it two again, Adam Armstrong reacting quickest to knock home from close range.

Leo Scienza again with the assist (of sorts) cutting in from the left, hitting a low shot which James Beadle can only palm out.

Armstrong reacts smartly to knock in the rebound from about eight yards out for a ninth goal of the season and his second of the afternoon.

    St Mary's is bouncing now.

  11. goal

GOAL: Ipswich 2-0 Coventrypublished at 16:17 GMT 6 December 2025

    George Hirst (60 mins)

    It's been coming...

George Hirst had a sighter like this a few moments ago when he was denied by Carl Rushworth, this time he's sprung free by a ball over the top by the very busy Marcelino Nunez and this time he keeps his cool and arrows a shot past the keeper and into the bottom corner to double the lead.

Is the weekend when the promotion procession loses momentum?

  12. CLOSE!published at 16:17 GMT 6 December 2025

    Preston 0-1 Wrexham

The pressure from Wrexham is building.

After Dan Iversen denied James McClean and also parried a Kieffer Moore effort, Nathan Broadhead has now raced clear, only to fire past the post.

Can Preston make him pay for that miss?

  13. goal

GOAL: Bristol City 0-1 Millwallpublished at 16:16 GMT 6 December 2025

    Mihailo Ivanovic (59 min)

They might not have shown much in the first half but Millwall lead.

Femi Azeez gets the ball and has two shots stopped, before the ball falls to Mihailo Ivanovic six yards out.

It's the Serbian's fourth goal of the season.

  14. Postpublished at 16:15 GMT 6 December 2025

    Blackburn 1-0 Sheff Wed

I really don't wish to alarm anyone, but amid the heavy rain there is standing water building on the surface at Ewood Park and the ball does not appear to be rolling completely naturally...

    Keep those fingers crossed...

  15. CLOSE!published at 16:14 GMT 6 December 2025

    Ipswich 1-0 Coventry

    Coventry's turn to press.

Town keeper Christian Walton is penalised for handling just outside his area, picking up a booking, and Josh Eccles whips in a free-kick which Ellis Simms and Bobby Thomas are close to but without being able to get the vital touch at the far post.

  16. goal

GOAL: Southampton 2-1 Birminghampublished at 16:14 GMT 6 December 2025

    Demarai Gray (54 mins)

A fantastic start to the second half for the visitors and they have now halved the lead.

Birmingham have returned with their ears stinging after that half time talk and they have carved out chance after chance.

Demarai Gray makes ground on the left flank, waits for the overlap then ignores it and cuts inside and hits an unstoppable shot into the top corner.

  17. Postpublished at 16:14 GMT 6 December 2025

    QPR 1-0 West Brom

Well it took until the fourth minute off added time for QPR to find a way through the West Brom defence.

And the Baggies almost hit back within three minutes of the restart, Aune Heggebo heading just over the bar.

  18. 'I can see Ipswich getting another'published at 16:13 GMT 6 December 2025

    Ipswich 1-0 Coventry

You can see that because we're a goal down we have to get more forward but it gives players like Hirst and their forwards to use their skills.

We've got to take our chances now, I can see Ipswich getting another on the break.

  19. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:12 GMT 6 December 2025

    Preston 0-1 Wrexham

Wrexham's James McClean is everywhere today.

He teed-up the only goal, cleared one off the line and has now seen a goalbound header well saved by North End keeper Dan Iversen.

  20. Postpublished at 16:12 GMT 6 December 2025

    Swansea 2-0 Oxford

Swansea not sitting back on this 2-0 lead if the opening moments of the second half are anything to go by.

Ji-Sung Eom's low strike from distance deflects out for a corner and Josh Tymon slings in a decent centre which is cleared.

    Next goal will be significant.
