  1. goal

GOAL: QPR 2-1 West Brompublished at 16:41 GMT 6 December 2025

    Aune Heggebo (76 min)

The Baggies get one back! And who else could it be?

Callum Styles whips in a cross and Aune Heggebo heads into the bottom corner to set up a big last 14 minutes, plus whatever added time we get at Loftus Road.

A brilliant header in off the far post.

    Game on!

We're making it really difficult for them now.

We're making it hard for Coventry to find any opportunities to get a goal back.

It's all about being solid defensively now.

  3. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:39 GMT 6 December 2025

    Preston 0-1 Wrexham

Josh Windass has been sent on by Phil Parkinson, replacing Nathan Broadhead.

The way this game's going you feel he might be as influential in his own box as the North End one.

  4. goal

GOAL: Sheff Utd 4-0 Stokepublished at 16:38 GMT 6 December 2025

    Sydie Peck (77 min pen)

Sydie Peck makes no mistake from the spot.

Ashley Phillips brought down Andre Brooks in the area and was shown a yellow card for his trouble.

And up stepped Peck to rifle it down the middle.

Game over and anorher huge three points for the Blades as the resurgence continues.

  5. PENALTY TO SHEFF UTDpublished at 16:37 GMT 6 December 2025

    Sheff Utd 3-0 Stoke

A chance for the hosts to make it four.

  6. Party atmosphere at St Mary'spublished at 16:36 GMT 6 December 2025

    Southampton 3-1 Birmingham City

    BBC Sport at St Mary's

The home crowd are now enjoying this, around 15 minutes of the match remaining and "oh when the Saints" is ringing around St Mary's.

They look on course to get three points, and I think we could be about to see Oriol Romeu make his home return as he is given some instructions down in the dugout.

  7. MATCH ABANDONEDpublished at 16:36 GMT 6 December 2025

    Blackburn 1-0 Sheff Wed

It didn't work, I'm sorry to say...

A waterlogged pitch has brought a second game of the season to a premature halt at Ewood Park.

Yuki Ohashi's fine goal will be consigned to our memories alone.

They'll have to do it all over again another day, the precedent was set on 20 September against Ipswich.

  8. 'Bamford has won over doubters'published at 16:36 GMT 6 December 2025

A standing ovation for Patrick Bamford who comes off.

Two goals in four for the ex-Leeds man. He’s won over any remaining doubters today.

  9. PITCH INSPECTION AT EWOODpublished at 16:36 GMT 6 December 2025

    Blackburn 1-0 Sheff Wed

Fingers crossed for good news... ref Ruebyn Ricardo is out there right now.

  10. Big chance!published at 16:35 GMT 6 December 2025

    Southampton 3-1 Birmingham

And the two substitutions oh so nearly get Birmingham back into this.

Tom Doyle crosses from the right and Jack Robinson's header smashes off the post and the ball comes out to Kyogo Furuhashi.

The goal is gaping, he is six yards out and he cannot keep his effort down, the ball sailing over the bar.

That was a horrible miss and a huge opportunity.

  11. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:35 GMT 6 December 2025

    Preston 0-1 Wrexham

Preston pushing once again but Jordan Storey's towering header from a corner is tipped around the post by keeper Arthur Okonkwo.

  12. GREAT SAVE!published at 16:32 GMT 6 December 2025

    Ipswich 2-0 Coventry

Do not think for a minute this is over...

After a nod down from Ellis Simms, Jack Rudoni draws a flying low save to his right from Town keeper Christian Walton, who has been in top form, to keep the two-goal margin intact.

It's Rudoni's final involvement as he is withdrawn along with Kaine Kesler-Hayden with Kai Andrews and fit-again Haji Wright coming on to try to save the day.

  13. SUBSTITUTIONpublished at 16:32 GMT 6 December 2025

    QPR 2-0 West Brom

Ryan Mason has sent on Isaac Price for Josh Maja as West Brom look for a way back into this game.

It's been a decent response from the visitors to conceding the second goal, with George Campbell and Callum Styles both seeing efforts kept out with a big double save by Paul Nardi.

No way through for them yet.

  14. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:32 GMT 6 December 2025

    Southampton 3-1 Birmingham

The visitors roll the dice with Alex Cochrane and Marvin Ducksch making way for Jack Robinson and Kyogo Furuhashi.

  15. CLOSE!published at 16:30 GMT 6 December 2025

    Preston 0-1 Wrexham

The Red Dragons go back on the attack at Deepdale but George Thomason's header from a cross from, you guessed it, James McClean, flashes past Dan Iversen's upright.

  16. SUBSTITUTIONSpublished at 16:29 GMT 6 December 2025

    Southampton 3-1 Birmingham

Adam Armstrong is denied a hat-trick by a superb save from James Beadle, diving to tip the ball way from the bottom right corner after a shot from the right side of the six yard area.

And he will not be getting one now.

He has been replaced by Cameron Archer with Leo Scienza applauded generously by the Saints faithful for a shift and a half as he makes way fro Jay Robinson.

  17. Postpublished at 16:29 GMT 6 December 2025

    Bristol City 0-1 Millwall

The home side are cranking up the pressure as they search for the equalising goal.

Scott Twine and Rob Dickie both seeing shots blocked but at the moment, the Lions defence hold firm.

  18. YELLOW CARDpublished at 16:28 GMT 6 December 2025

    Preston 0-1 Wrexham

This might give a hint as to how things are going... Wrexham keeper Arthur Okonkwo has been booked for time wasting after delaying a restart.

25 minutes left on the clock when he did it...

  19. 'Coventry injuries starting to bite?'published at 16:28 GMT 6 December 2025

    Ipswich 2-0 Coventry

Ipswich Town's George Hirst celebrates scoringImage source, PA Media

Portman Road is bouncing and it's hard to hear yourself think after Ipswich's George Hirst walked into the Coventry area to score.

They know they are in the play-off spots.

Coventry's injuries look like they are starting to bite. Hard to see where the bench will provide.

  20. 'Millwall opener against run of play'published at 16:27 GMT 6 December 2025

    Bristol City 0-1 Millwall

    Nikesh Rughani
    Commentator on BBC Final Score

Ashton Gate is stunned….a goal for Millwall completely against the run of play.

The ground was buzzing all afternoon, and City’s performance so far deserved much more, but there’s almost silence from three of the stands now.

The Millwall fans though, behind the goal to my left, are bouncing.
