It's taken him 217 balls but Ryan Higgins has reached his first century since 2024.
He was dropped at deep mid-wicket yesterday, on 26, by substitute debutant Luke Robinson. It was coincidentally a Robinson delivery, which was despatched for four, which took him to three figures. The knock included eight boundaries.
That four also brought up the 350 for Middlesex.
Dropped catches have proven costly. Sam Robson was put down by the keeper yesterday when on six and went on to make 87.

Colin Ingram got right underneath that and he knew from the moment it came off the bat, he knew he was in trouble.
Sonny Baker picks up his first wicket.
Somerset 252-7 v Yorkshire 162 – Somerset lead by 90
Will Smeed has made a good contribution since coming in, showing good red ball nous after reversing his decision to retire from the four-day game.
Lewis Gregory, who took 6-43 with the ball yesterday, is at the other end on 10.
A first batting point for the hosts.
Ingram c Middleton b Baker 32 (Hants v Glam 458-5)
Sonny Baker has been stuck on 13 wickets for the season – a Baker's dozen if you like – but he has moved to 14 with a first in this match.
Colin Ingram aims a stiff-armed jab at an inocuous delivery angled across him but loops it up to Fletcha Middleton at midwicket.

It's been a very good morning for Yorkshire. They've taken four Somerset wickets now.
It was a good delivery by Logan van Beek.
Middlesex 339-6 v Durham

It's fair to say the first half hour - or more - of day two was a hard watch. Middlesex pair Ryan Higgins and Zafar Gohar were very watchful, with only 10 runs added in the first nine overs.
Things were so slow, it looked like they weren't going to bother trying to reach a second batting point. But with 19 runs needed in five overs Higgins decided to put his foot down and we suddenly had a few runs on the board.
They were on 318-6 when the 110 overs were complete, meaning both sides took two bonus points. The 50 partnership came a few moments later.
Higgins is eyeing the 13th century of his first-class career. He's currently on 93. Gohar has 30.

Overton b Van Beek 1 (Somerset 229-7 v Yorkshire 162 – Somerset lead by 67)
It's turning into an excellent morning for Yorkshire who now have a fourth wicket of the day!
Yorkshire bowler Logan van Beek breaks his duck with a brilliant delivery to clean bowl Craig Overton.
It's a beauty and Overton can't do too much about that one.
The commentary team had just been saying how well Overton had been batting this season!

That was a tame end, but Kiran Carlson walks off to a deserved applause.
You have to appreciate a knock like that, he set the tone today as well.

Nottinghamshire miss out on maximum batting points.
Liam Patterson-White for the third innings a row is out for five and Ben Green has a sixfer.
Hutton c Cox b Green 0 (Leics v Notts 451-9)
Another perfect delivery that just shows that pace is not everything.
Ben Green is not express but he puts it on a sixpence and kisses the edge of Brett Hutton's bat.
Ben Cox takes the catch behind the stumps and Green has 7-111.
Carlson c Currie b Organ 209 (Hants v Glam 436-4)
A tame end to a magnificent knock.
Kiran Carlson aims a loose-limbed drive at an unthreatening delivery from Felix Organ and takes a hand off the bat in the process.
He doesn't get hold of it and chips to Scott Currie at cover.
That has been a captain's innings given he came in at 79-1 and left his side in significantly better shape at 436-4.

He's in terrific form, leading by example. He's really enjoying himself out there.

That wicket possibly had been coming in that Tom Scriven was finding good movement.
Joe Clarke was moving across, he was on the backfoot and it did come back in.
It was plum.
