    Worcs 388 v Glos 289 & 121-7

A fine cut shot from Daz Ahmed gets four welcome runs as Ben Allison is a bit short.

Gloucestershire are going to have to show some intent now, given the match situation.

There are 69 overs left, so batting that out for a draw feels unrealistic so they have to put runs on the board.

The lead is a meagre 22 at the moment.

  2. Somerset lead by 300 runspublished at 12:55 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 423-8 v Warks 330

Alfie Ogborne, pushing forward, almost gives a diving Ed Barnard a chance in the slips but it drops to the ground before the Bears skipper can get his hands to it.

It runs away for a couple and Somerset lead by 300 as we approach lunch.

That's a pretty good lead at this stage, especially when you consider the position they were in yesterday.

WICKETpublished at 12:52 BST 22 June

    McKinney c Bartlett b Guthrie 23 (Durham 48-1- v Northants - Target 295)

George Bartlett takes a blinder in the gully to remove Ben McKinney and break Durham’s opening partnership .

It was a superb grab off Luke Guthrie after the Durham opener had sliced the left armer away aerially.

McKinney, who had been driving the ball impressively, was leading the chase for Durham but that’s just what Northants needed just before lunch.

  4. Leach & Ogborne frustrating Bearspublished at 12:47 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 420-8 v Warks 330

Jack Leach and Alfie Ogborne have added 38 together and in a way this partnership might be starting to frustrate the Bears more than the previous one did.

If they had managed to dismiss these two early after getting Overton and Rew the target would be a lot less than what it is now - approaching 300.

  5. Postpublished at 12:45 BST 22 June

    Glamorgan 32-1 v Surrey - target 195

Kiran Carlson looks in decent nick for Glamorgan as he guides a Sam Curran ball down to the vacant (yes, we know) third man rope.

The Surrey seamers are discovering just how hard Glamorgan found wickets to come by in the second innings.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:44 BST 22 June

    Clarke c&b Singh 5 (Worcs 388 v Glos 29 & 112-7)

Extraordinary stuff at New Road and it's a fourth wicket for Fateh Singh's left-armers!

New Zealander Kristian Clarke goes to play through leg, but the ball stops on him and all he can do is send it spiralling into the air from where it drops invitingly into Singh's hands for the easiest ever caught and bowled.

It is now 31-6 in this spell and Gloucestershire lead by only 13 with three wickets left.

    Holden b Dudgeon 9 (Kent v Middlesex 35-3 - target 231)

Max Holden is bowledImage source, Shutterstock

There will be no second century for Max Holden.

Keith Dudgeon comes around the wicket to the left-hander and uproots two of his stumps.

Again the batter is playing on the back foot which does not look a great idea on this pitch.

    Caleb Falconer is next in.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:38 BST 22 June

    Taylor b Singh 5 (Worcs 388 v Glos 289 & 106-6)

That is an absolute ripper from Fateh Singh!

A doosey of a delivery from a slow left-armer to a right-hander as he pitches it on middle and turns it away from Jack Taylor's bat to flatten off-stump.

Gloucestershire staring down the barrel after the loss of five wickets for 25 runs this morning.

  9. Postpublished at 12:38 BST 22 June

    Glamorgan 25-1 v Surrey - target 195

Rahul Chahar is tossed the ball by Surrey skipper Rory Burns to see if some spin can extract a second Glamorgan wicket.

His first ball is slapped out into the covers by Asa Tribe for two runs.

  10. 'I don’t think we’re going to get a declaration'published at 12:35 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 411-8 v Warks 330

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

I think this innings will end when Somerset are bowled out. I don’t think we’re going to get a declaration

  11. 100 runs

100 up - Gloucestershire leadpublished at 12:34 BST 22 June

    Worcs 388 v Glos 289 & 104-5

Graeme van Buuren scampers a single and the Glosters now have 100 in this second innings and they finally move into the lead.

To add to the drama, new batter Jack Taylor has come out with a runner in Joe Phillips.

No worries about running for this one though, as Fateh SIngh drops short and Taylor can whack it one-bounce for four.

  12. Beyond natural chase for Bearspublished at 12:33 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 411-8 v Warks 330

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Somerset were vulnerable for a little bit with the loss of those two wickets.

But it’s gone past what you would call a natural chase to the sort of level you would have to force it which is not to say that it couldn’t be done.

But you couldn’t play just normally and accumulate. Anyway, they still have two wickets to take. Somerset will want to stretch this out as long as they can.

  13. 6 runs

for Jack Leachpublished at 12:29 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 408-8 v Warks 330

Straight down the ground from Jack Leach!

He picks it up nicely and swings it over the head of fellow spinner Manav Suthar.

More known for digging in than scoring runs, Leach caught that one well enough!

  14. Northants probing awaypublished at 12:28 BST 22 June

    Durham 22-0 v Northants - Target 295

Harry Conway was a splinter away from removing Ben McKinney in his third over as the Durham opener shouldered arms and the ball jagged back.

Conway, operating around the wicket, has been a handful so far, as has Ben Sanderson at the other end, but no breakthrough yet for Northants.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:25 BST 22 June

    Bancroft c Allison b Waite 56 (Worcs 388 v Glos 289 & 97-5)

What we were saying about the price of Gloucestershire captain Cameron Bancroft's wicket?

Fine captaincy from Pears man Brett D'Oliveira as he has a man in at short leg and Ben Allison is in exactly the right position as Bancroft gets an inside edge to a probing Matthew Waite delivery that has a bit of shape in.

Five wickets down and the Glosters still trail by two.

Get Involved - Overton's stellar seasonpublished at 12:24 BST 22 June

How Overton hasn't been selected for England more is beyond me. Batting has come on leaps and bounds and is pretty handy with the ball as well

  17. 50 runs

50 for Cameron Bancroftpublished at 12:23 BST 22 June

    Worcs 388 v Glos 289 & 96-4

Cameron Bancroft's wicket has gone from important to priceless in the space of 20 minutes this morning.

He whips a Fateh Singh ball nicely past mid-on and away to the rope.

That pushes the Australia's batter score beyond 50 for the second time in the game, with this knock coming off 136 balls with six fours.

And he then get a long hop from Singh that he clubs away for another boundary. All very useful.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:21 BST 22 June

    Geddes lbw b Milnes 11 (Kent v Middlesex 24-2 - target 231)

Jitters in the Middlesex dressing room.

Having just survived the ball rolling back and hitting his stumps, Ben Geddes is now heading back to the hutch.

He comes a couple of steps down the wicket to Matt Milnes and is struck on the front pad.

Up goes the finger and in comes Division Two's top run scorer, Leus du Plooy.

  19. 400 up for Somersetpublished at 12:21 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 400-8 v Warks 330

Far from knocking Somerset out of their stride those wickets have led to a flurry of boundaries - a result of a mix of Jack Leach's bat and some leg byes from some untidy bowling.

Somerset now lead by 278 with Leach and Alfie Ogborne at the crease.

  20. Postpublished at 12:20 BST 22 June

    Glamorgan 12-1 v Surrey - target 195

Sam Curran swings one back into the pads of Asa Tribe.

A huge roar from the bowler, wicketkeeper and slips but the appeal is turned down.

It did look close but maybe a touch too high.
