We mentioned Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson and their in and out appearance in this round of Championship cricket.

We know they are going to play for England in the deciding third Test with New Zealand, beginning on Thursday and the Cricket Regulator has issued a statement into how they have assessed the events in Chelsea on the night of victory in the first Test at Lord's a fortnight ago.

It reads: "The Cricket Regulator has concluded its investigation into the events of 7–8 June involving Ben Stokes and Gus Atkinson.

"The Cricket Regulator’s role is to determine whether any participant or player has breached any applicable ECB Cricket Regulations. The investigation followed multiple lines of enquiry to gather and assess evidence in relation to the events in question.

Having carefully reviewed all currently available information, the Cricket Regulator has determined that there is insufficient evidence to establish that any regulatory breach occurred. Accordingly, no further action will be taken against either player.

The Cricket Regulator would like to thank all those involved for their cooperation throughout the investigation."

50 up for Warwickshirepublished at 14:58 BST 22 June

    Somerset v Warks 41-2 – target 314

Rob Yates is having some joy sweeping Archie Vaughan away.

Eight come from Vaughan's first over as Warwickshire reach 50 in 15 overs.

Jack Leach is back on now aiming for a third wicket.

    Clark lbw Sanderson 2 (Durham 107-4 - Target 296)

Northants have their noses in front. Two wickets in quick succession have turned the game in their favour.

Graham Clark follows Will Rhodes to the pavilion, worked over by Ben Sanderson who grabs a deserved wicket.

The ball nipped back to trap Clark right in front. Easy decision for umpire Michael Gough.

The run-rate required has crept above four-an-over for the first time for Durham. That shouldn’t be a factor but it’s something else to throw into a bubbling pot.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:55 BST 22 June

    Carlson b Chahar 67 (Glamorgan 133-3 v Surrey - target 195)

    Too late for Surrey?

Rahul Chahar has been hit for a six and a four by Colin Ingram but when he gets Kiran Carlson on strike he bowls the Glamorgan skipper around his legs.

    That ends a 62-run third-wicket partnership.

The fourth Middlesex man to be clean bowled in this innings is Caleb Falconer.

There may be an inside edge but Hasan Mahmud splatters the stumps.

Toby Roland-Jones is in for the visitors.

  7. 'Somerset’s hopes further raised'published at 14:51 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 435 v Warks 330 & 42-2 – chasing 314

    Anthony Gibson
    BBC Radio Somerset

Good bowling, good captaincy, good field placing and a good catch.

    Somerset’s hopes further raised.

  8. Warwickshire with some concernspublished at 14:50 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 435 v Warks 330 & 41-2 – chasing 314

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Warwickshire with some concerns. It seemed to fly quite quickly as if it had come off the face of the bat but the replays we’ve seen so far are not conclusive.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:46 BST 22 June

    Rhodes lbw Harrison 23 (Durham 102-3 - Target 296)

Will Rhodes is trapped in front by leg-spinner Calvin Harrison and Durham have lost their third wicket.

The left-hander did not look too impressed but, on the back foot, the ball looked like it could have gone on to strike leg-stump.

The previous over Rhodes had escaped after a big appeal for a strangle catch behind off Ben Sanderson.

It was hard work for Rhodes with his 23 coming off 66 balls.

  10. Postpublished at 14:45 BST 22 June

    Worcs 388 v Glos 289 & 177-9

Last man Liam Charlesworth tucks one away fine and he is off the mark.

Will Williams is the man in with him and he's not known for his array of attacking shots. But they can't just block for 50-odd overs.

The lead is 78, so can they add enough to get the lead to at least 100?

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:44 BST 22 June

    Mousley c Vaughan b Leach 2 (Somerset 208 & 435 v Warks 330 & 34-2 – chasing 314)

Dan Mousley doesn't hang around long and Jack Leach has another!

He is doing the business for Somerset in these early stages with 2-7 from his three overs.

Mousley scores two from six balls and Warwickshire are two down already.

    In comes Sam Hain.

  12. 100 runs

100 up for Glamorganpublished at 14:40 BST 22 June

    Glamorgan 100-2 v Surrey - target 195

Glamorgan appear to have this run chase under control

A beautiful back-foot drive from Kiran Carlson races to the boundary to bring up their three figures.

Promotion last season seems to have given them confidence and this will be a third win of the season if they get it done.

It will also take them above Surrey in the Division One table.

We are going to have a drinks break as well because Carlson has been struck on the hand by Tom Lawes.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:33 BST 22 June

    Malik c Overton b Leach 12 (Somerset 208 & 435 v Warks 330 & 30-1 – chasing 314)

Edged and caught at slip by Craig Overton.

A textbook wicket for Jack Leach really as the ball finds the edge of Zen Malik's bat and flies straight into the hands of the one and only slip in place.

It was a simple catch for Overton and Somerset have their first wicket.

  14. 50 runs

50 for Kiran Carlsonpublished at 14:32 BST 22 June

    Glamorgan 91-2 v Surrey - target 195

Coming in after a chaotic run out at 0-1, Kiran Carlson has played calmly.

The Glamorgan skipper nudges a single to go to his 50.

  15. Can't need more than 200 last sessionpublished at 14:31 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 435 v Warks 330 & 30-0 – chasing 314

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Soon we should get a clearer indication of if they are going to step it up or not, once they get the measure of Jack Leach and had a look at what he’s offering.

If they have any designs on this, although it would be after tea that you’d expect them to step it up, but you can’t have more than 200 to get in the final session that’s far too many.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:30 BST 22 June

    Morgan lbw b Stewart 8 (Kent v Middlesex 85-6 - target 231)

Kent are moving towards a big win at Canterbury.

Seb Morgan looks disappointed, maybe with himself or possibly the decision but the ball from Grant Stewart looks to be hitting at least leg stump, if not middle.

Zafar Gohar is next in. He made 95 in the first innings and Middlesex need something similar.

  17. Postpublished at 14:28 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 435 v Warks 330 & 26-0 – chasing 314

Cut away for four by Rob Yates.

Short and wide from Alfie Ogborne and that's Yates' first boundary of the innings.

And he follows it up with another four next ball to take his score from two to 10 in two balls.

A better ball from the Somerset man it was just well played by Yates.

  18. Five-wicket haul for Fateh Singhpublished at 14:24 BST 22 June

    Ahmed c Brookes b Singh 27 (Worcs 388 v Glos 289 & 166-9)

A special moment for Fateh Singh as he completes a maiden first-class five-fer!

Another good delivery from round the wicket that Daz Ahmed goes to cut, he edges it and that is well pouched by Ethan Brookes at slip.

The left-armer is bowling the Pears into a great position on the final day with 5-66 in his 21st over - the very definition of a spinner's job!

  19. Stokes warming up for England returnpublished at 14:20 BST 22 June

    Durham 92-2 v Northants - target 296

Ben Stokes batting in Durham's first innings against NorthantsImage source, Getty Images

Ben Stokes isn't playing in this match - he has been withdrawn from the game by England ahead of his England return at Trent Bridge - but he is here at the Riverside still.

He has just been batting in the nets with Durham and England team-mate Brydon Carse who is making his way back to fitness from a hand injury sustained in the IPL.

Stokes's first innings 95 could yet prove invaluable for Durham. Although fans may wish if he was sat in the dressing room padded up to come in at third wicket down as he was on Saturday.

    Tribe c Pope b Chahar 30 (Glamorgan 72-2 v Surrey - target 195)

    Surrey needed that.

Asa Tribe follows a Rahul Chahar delivery as it spins away from him and gets a big edge into the gloves of Ollie Pope.

Colin Ingram is the next man in for Glamorgan.
