  1. GLAMORGAN BEAT SURREY BY SEVEN WICKETSpublished at 15:43 BST 22 June
    Breaking

    Glamorgan 258 & 197-3 v Surrey 105 & 447

A brilliant hand from Colin Ingram who finishes unbeaten on 61 after Kiran Carlson had set the run chase rolling with 67.

Surrey made a battle of it with their excellent second innings effort but the shambolic first dig has done for them.

A third Championship win of the season for Glamorgan who move above their opponents in the table.

    Kent v Middlesex 134-7 - target 231

Three wickets for Kent in that session but Zafar Gohar (29*) and Toby Roland-Jones (13*) have kept Middlesex going into the final session.

A win for the visitors from here looks unlikely but Gohar did make 95 in the first innings so is in decent form.

Colin Ingram takes Dan Lawrence downtown for a maximum.

That also brings up the 50 partnership with Sean Dickson.

I'd love to know how Kiran Carlson hasn't been mentioned at all for a potential England call up. Form has been consistent for a number of years and arguably better than newly selected players.

    Gaz L, Pembrokeshire

First saw Glam v Surrey at Pontypridd in May 1954 as an understanding headmaster allowed us to leave school in mid afternoon. Most Surrey greats played - May, Laker, Lock, Surridge, Bedser, Subha Row. Later matches saw Barrington and Micky Stewart. Don Shepherd got May quite often.

    Hywel Jones, Berkshire

Hywel, with that list of players, it's not hard at all to see how Surrey won seven consecutive Championship in the 1950s! Thanks for getting in touch.

  5. 50 runs

50 for Colin Ingrampublished at 15:37 BST 22 June

    Glamorgan 178-3 v Surrey - target 195

Colin Ingram has taken over the senior role after the earlier dismissal of captain Kiran Carlson.

Ingram sweeps Dan Lawrence to the boundary and gets to his 50 - Glamorgan are almost over the line.

  6. Postpublished at 15:36 BST 22 June

    Somerset v Warks 66-2 – target 314

The final ball of the 27th over is put away by Rob Yates for the first boundary for half-an-hour.

Four fielders around the bat for Jack Leach but Rob Yates and Sam Hain are content to block.

We'll have a few more overs until tea.

    Worcs 17-1 v Glos - target 87

Beyers Swanepoel hits two fours in four balls off Will Williams.

He has 13 off 10 balls and perhaps that decision has a bit of sense behind it as a few quick runs will break the back of this very small chase.

It was that Thomas Rew and Craig Overton partnership that saved Somerset.

A third maiden in a row but none of those maidens carrying much of a threat.

It feels now, for the first time today, we are firmly on course for a draw.

From 11:15 on Friday I would have had draw as the least likely result.

  10. Swanepoel pushed up orderpublished at 15:26 BST 22 June

    Worcs 5-1 v Glos - target 87

Worcestershire have pushed Beyers Swanepoel up the order from nine to three. A slightly curious move when the target is only 87.

He has all five runs so far in the chase.

  11. Postpublished at 15:22 BST 22 June

    Somerset 208 & 435 v Warks 330 & 59-2 – target 314

Sam Hain is currently eighth in the Division One batting charts.

The Bears man has scored 611 runs in eight matches at an average of 61 and has a high score of 164.

He has one century and five half-centuries.

  12. 150 runs

150 up for Glamorganpublished at 15:21 BST 22 June

    Glamorgan 151-3 v Surrey - target 195

Dan Lawrence is back on for Surrey.

Sean Dickson takes a couple of runs with a sweep to bring up the Glamorgan 150.

Just 44 more runs for a Glamorgan victory.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:18 BST 22 June

    Worcs 0-1 v Glos - target 87

Two balls later, and Gloucestershire do have a wicket!

No issues about this one. Graeme van Buuren spins one into Dan Lategan, clear edge and Cameron Bancroft takes a good one-handed catch low to his right at slip.

That's the first for the Glosters!

  14. Postpublished at 15:17 BST 22 June

    Somerset v Warks 62-2 – target 314

Sam Hain sweeps away towards the boundary to give Jake Ball a long chase to cut it off - which he does.

Hain and Yates ran a couple when there may have been three on offer.

  15. Worcestershire begin pursuit of 87published at 15:15 BST 22 June

    Worcs 0-0 v Glos - target 87

Gloucestershire to start with the left-arm spin of Graeme van Buuren.

He is appealing off the first ball. Is it LBW? Is it caught at slip.

It's neither and Dan Lategan survives.

  16. Postpublished at 15:14 BST 22 June

    Glamorgan 145-3 v Surrey - target 195

Just 50 more runs required for Glamorgan to claim a very impressive victory.

Credit Surrey for taking this deep into the final day but that first innings capitulation seems certain to have cost them.

Warwickshire are batting with an abundance of caution at present. Certainly Yates is.

  18. wicket

GLOUCESTERSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 185published at 15:09 BST 22 June

    Williams lbw b Swanepoel 17 (Worcs 388 v Glos 289 & 185 all out)

The new ball does the trick for the Pears!

The seventh ball, in fact, and Beyers Swanepoel's first with it and he goes very full and straight. Past Will Williams' bat and that is plumb in front.

He and Liam Charlesworth had eked out 19 runs and taken out 10 overs of the game, but Worcestershire will pad up with only 87 needed to win.

A terrific effort from the bowlers today led by Fateh SIngh's 5-74 with Matthew Waite supporting with 3-14 from 16 parsimonious overs.

  19. 6 runs

    Durham 115-4 - target 296

David Bedingham goes big to relieve the pressure being applied by Northants.

A straight six off Calvin Harrison moves the Durham batter onto 14 from 37 balls.

The leg spinner and Ben Sanderson had him tied down up to that point.

    Appeal... not out.

That was well outside off stump and Sam Hain will continue.

A better over from Archie Vaughan with just a single from it.

The run rate is creeping up.
