Somerset 208 & 435 v Warks 330 & 98-2 – target 314

Both teams remain very much in contention for the Championship after what has been a very well contested and fascinating game of four day cricket.
Somerset 208 & 435 v Warks 330 & 98-2 – target 314
To no-one's surprise, there are handshakes between the sides and the game is over.
It was heading for a draw regardless so that rain sweeping just meant we finished slightly earlier. Rob Yates just about got to his 50 in time.
The game hinged of the partnership of Thomas Rew and Craig Overton who took Somerset from a facing a possible three-day defeat to setting Warwickshire a total they felt was too high to chase.
It feels a shame that such a good contest ended so meekly but this is how it goes sometimes in four day cricket.
Sharma lbw b Dudgeon 0 (Kent 416 & 257 v Middlesex 443 & 181)
A fourth win in five Division Two matches for Kent.
A brilliant bowling performance from Kent in the Middlesex second innings with 5-31 for Matt Milnes and 3-36 from Keith Dudgeon gets them a vital win as they look to chase down Durham and Northamptonshire.
Zafar Gohar followed his first innings 95 with an unbeaten 66 but he and Max Holden with 182 in that first dig are powerless to prevent a home victory.
Durham 212-4 v Northants - Target 296

David Bedingham and Colin Ackermann have just taken their partnership past the 100 mark and have scored 16 in the last two overs.
They have clearly decided to go for it now. Bedingham has 72 and Ackermann 23.
They need 84 more to win in 16 overs at 5.3 an over.
Durham 212-4 - target 296
Northants have brought back leading wicket-taker Ben Sanderson with the game in danger of slipping away.
The fifth-wicket stand between David Bedingham and Colin Ackermann has gone past three figures.
The urgency now is obvious in their running between the wickets.
Durham fancy this.
D'Oliveira c Bracey b van Buuren 6 (Worcs 70-5 v Glos - target 87)
Half the Pears wickets gone now!
Brett D'Oliveira goes to cut Graeme van Buuren and nicks behind. Four for van Buuren - 4-33 - and eight in the match.
Only 17 to win, a couple of good blows should do!

Glamorgan are looking a strong and unified team this year. Great balance of experience and upcoming talent. 18 year old Tom Norton’s first innings 5 wicket blast of Surrey’s international order was impressive and surely makes your team of the week.
Steven Bennett, Cardiff
T Norton and Mason Crane Glamorgan, in team of week
Gareth George, Swansea
Glamorgan fans are understandably basking in their outstanding win over Surrey! Let's see if that is reflected in our Team of the Week.
Durham 199-4 v Northants - target 296
The Durham victory target is down below 100.
David Bedingham and Colin Ackermann have done a really good repair job for the home side.
Their fifth-wicket partnership is now worth 92 and Bedingham is on the offensive.
Favourites? Possibly but it only takes a wicket for Northants for the game to turn again.

It’s been a proper tug of war this match between two good teams who are both potentially going to be in shake up quite late into the Championship season.
Warwickshire made the running for much of it, Somerset had an opening today for a brief time but they will feel in very good heart that they got out of what looked like yesterday could be a three day defeat.
Really a fierce contest for the most part although it ended quietly. The game sort of petered out in the final few hours but it was pretty hard fought.
Kent v Middlesex 172-9 - target 231
Close!
Zafar Gohar edges between the wicketkeeper and slip fielder for four.
It was in the air but neither player goes for the catch.
Durham 185-4 v Northants - target 296
A lovely cover drive off Harry Conway brings up the South Africa batter's half-century off 104 balls.
He has been generally watchful but with one big straight six off Calvin Harrison and four fours besides.
The leg spinner is back in the Northants attack after a breather following a 16-over spell earlier.
Durham need 111 more runs and we've a minimum of 19 overs left.
Helm lbw b Milnes 4 (Kent v Middlesex 167-9 - target 231)
Five for Matt Milnes who takes Kent to within one wicket of victory.
Tom Helm is hit on the front toe and that is out.
Naavya Sharma is the last man in for Middlesex.
Somerset 208 & 435 v Warks 330 & 98-2 – target 314
I really didn't expect to write this today but rain stops play in Taunton.
And with the game heading to a draw anyway that is likely to be the last of the action.
That isn't confirmed yet though of course so we'll keep you posted.
Hose c Bancroft b Clarke 2 (Worcs 57-4 v Glos - target 87)
Worcestershire are making hard work of this small chase!
They are now four down as Adam Hose makes his way back to the pavilion.
Kristian Clarke gets one to hold up slightly in the pitch and with the wicketkeeper up to the stumps, that is another good catch by Cameron Bancroft diving forward from a wide slip position.
Only 30 needed but now down to six wickets in hand.

It’s cricket in slow motion at the moment. On a decent pitch, the only thing the pitch has lacked is any real deterioration.
Somerset v Warks 98-2 – target 314
A four followed by a two brings Rob Yates his 50.
It's come in 122 balls and is his fifth half-century this season.
Kent v Middlesex 165-8 - target 231
Image source, ShutterstockHe edges past the single Kent slip for four before collecting a single.
A second half century in the game for Zafar Gohar. He has struck five boundaries in this effort.
Somerset v Warks 92-2 – target 314
Four maiden overs in a row.
Those consecutive Sam Hain fours were the last runs we saw.
Kent v Middlesex 150-8 - target 231
While Zafar Gohar is out in the middle, Middlesex will still fancy they can reach the target of 231.
He made 95 in the first innings alongside Max Holden's century but you feel Gohar is going to have to do the bulk of the work himself in this second innings.
Up comes the 150.
