    Somerset 208 v Warks 104-2

It's got a little dark overhead which may help the bowlers a little - and they need that spark.

Dan Mousley swivels and pulls Craig Overton for a single to move within seven runs of another half-century.

Tidy over but no alarms for the Warwickshire batters.

The pitch is not offering much it's safe to say. For now.

    Coles c Brown b Abbott 19 (Sussex 129-5 v Hants 191)

    One brings two!

Perfect overhead bowling conditions at Hove this morning - and Hampshire are taking full advantage of those gloomy conditions.

Loose shot from James Coles, who is caught on the drive, and nicks through to wicket-keeper Ben Brown who takes his second catch of the morning.

A great start to the day for the visitors.

    Clarke c & b Snater 27 (Essex 184 v Notts 118-3)

    Just what Essex needed.

Joe Clarke offers a return catch to Shane Snater who collects his and Essex's third wicket of the innings.

Jack Haynes makes his way to the wicket.

  4. rain stops play

Rain stops play at Grace Roadpublished at 11:21 BST 20 June

    Leics 200-3 v Yorks 185

Yorkshire perhaps won't mind this rain interruption as specks of rain grow heavier and the players retreat to the pavilion.

It will break a little of the Foxes momentum, but we're not expecting a long delay

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:21 BST 20 June

    Vasoncelos c Robinson b Potts 187 (Durham v Northants 398-6)

    No 200 for Ricardo Vasconcelos.

He was first dropped on 13 off Ben Stokes yesterday and that cost Durham 174 runs but they finally get their man as Vasconcelos gloves one to Ollie Robinson.

It is the fourth time the batsman has got into the 180s but not got out of them.

Justin Broad is the new man.

  6. Career-best score for Vasconcelospublished at 11:19 BST 20 June

    Durham v Northants 398-6

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

He was dropped on 13 yesterday morning, but moments ago the Northants opener Ricardo Vasconcelos passed his previous best score of 185*.

That came in a home win against Glamorgan in 2021. He's made it to the 180s on four occasions and now has 186.

Northants are four away from a fourth batting point and there are still 11.4 overs left for bonus points in this innings.

It's a beautiful day in CLS and hot in the sunshine. Bring the factor 30 if you are coming along today!

  7. 100 runs

100 up for Somersetpublished at 11:19 BST 20 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 103-2

Lewis Goldsworthy does well on the rope to deny Dan Mousley his first boundary of day two, but the Bears batter picks up three to go to 42.

And it takes the visitors to three figures and almost halfway towards the Somerset total.

  8. 200 runs

200 up for Leicestershirepublished at 11:17 BST 20 June

    Leics 200-3 v Yorks 185

Rehan Ahmed has played positively since ball one and a drive through the covers bring him back-to-back boundaries off Jack White.

He repeats the trick against Hassan Ali in the next over to pick up two more before a single brings up the 200.

Yorkshire will be desperate to stop the flow of runs before this becomes a serious problem.

The Foxes have already added 23 this morning.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:17 BST 20 June

    Alsop c Brown b Abbott 33 (Sussex 128-4 v Hampshire 191)

    Breakthrough for Hampshire!

Tom Alsop has to drag himself off the field, unable to add to his overnight tally of 33, as he pushes at one outside off stump and is caught behind by Ben Brown.

John Simpson walks to the crease for Sussex.

  10. Postpublished at 11:15 BST 20 June

    Glamorgan 259-7 v Surrey

Good bounce and pace by Gus Atkinson who is getting the new ball to nip back from around the wicket.

He misses the outside edge of Colin Ingram (28*), who has returned to the field after retiring hurt yesterday, being struck on the hand with what looked like a nasty blow.

Good to see the left-hander back at the crease to help his side out on day two.

  11. Career best score for Vasconcelospublished at 11:15 BST 20 June

    Durham v Northants 396-6

Ricardo Vasconcelos collects a boundary from the day's first over and then a single off the fourth over to go to his highest first-class score of 186 not out.

His previous best was an unbeaten 185 against Glamorgan in 2021.

The next target will be a maiden double hundred.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:14 BST 20 June

    Ahmed lbw b T Taylor 14 (Worcs v Glos 262-8)

Early day two breakthrough for the Pears.

Decent, fullish ball from Tom Taylor that gets Daz Ahmed playing around his front pad. It's probably a leg-stump call but the length has done him.

Can any of the Gloucestershire tail stick around with centurion Miles Hammond?

  13. 250 runs

250 up for Glamorganpublished at 11:11 BST 20 June

    Glamorgan 254-7 v Surrey

Back-to-back boundaries for Mason Crane, who moves onto 69 not out, and that sees Glamorgan move past 250.

They pick up their first batting point of the match.

  14. Foxes move into the leadpublished at 11:10 BST 20 June

    Leics 188-3 v Yorks 185

Hassan Ali with his first over of the morning and Rehan Ahmed faces his first ball of the day.

He plays nicely through the covers but a slowish outfield and Will Luxton's dive on the boundary rope prevents four.

They scurry back for three runs which move Leicestershire into the lead. So far so good.

  15. Postpublished at 11:09 BST 20 June

    Sussex 123-3 v Hants 191

Kyle Abbott is into the attack for Hampshire early on day two at Hove.

Tom Alsop (33*) and James Coles (13*) are at the crease for Sussex - and it has been a steady start for the home side who have added just two to their overnight tally.

  16. Postpublished at 11:07 BST 20 June

    Leics 183-3 v Yorks 185

No watchful start at Grace Road as Leicestershire maintain their positive intent from yesterday when they went at more than four-an-over.

Nick Kelly drives Jack White down the ground for a settling boundary before a drive through extra cover brings a couple more off the opening over.

The New Zealander is up to 31 off 42 balls.

  17. Postpublished at 11:04 BST 20 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 111-2

Jamie Porter opens with a maiden for Essex.

The current leaders need early wickets to get back into this game or Notts could take it away from them.

The key will surely be when Simon Harmer comes into the attack given how much spin the surface was taking yesterday.

  18. Somerset suffer injury blowpublished at 11:03 BST 20 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 93-2

A tricky position for Somerset has got a little trickier with the news that paceman Migael Pretorius picked up an injury and will miss the rest of the match.

Alfie Ogborne is on the field in his stead.

Extra work for the home attack, including Jake Ball who bowls the first over of the day.

    Just the bye from it.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:03 BST 20 June

    Cooke b Atkinson 101 (Glamorgan 244-7 v Surrey)

Bowled him - Gus Atkinson makes the breakthrough four balls in!

Chris Cooke loses his off pole to Atkinson, beaten for speed, and the new ball has done the trick early on for Surrey.

Cooke doesn't add to his overnight score of 101 as he is applauded back off the field just moments after he had walked out to it.

A wicket-maiden for the currently exiled England paceman.

  20. Play starts at Sophia Gardenspublished at 11:02 BST 20 June

    Glamorgan 244-6 v Surrey

Gus Atkinson races in with the new ball for Surrey on day two and it immediately spits up on Chris Cooke (101*) who does well to keep it down.
