  1. Lunch at Canterburypublished at 13:06 BST 20 June

    Kent 416 v Middlesex 32-2

Kent will enjoy lunch after some good cricket from them this morning.

They will have probably have taken 60 runs for the last three wickets at the start of play and certainly for claiming two early Middlesex wickets.

Max Holden and captain Leus du Plooy will have a rebuilding job on their hands when they resume.

  2. Lunch at Chester-le-Streetpublished at 13:04 BST 20 June

    Durham 19-1 v Northants 450

An even morning where Northants added 62 runs for their remaining four wickets.

Ricardo Vasconcelos went to a career best of 187 before becoming one of Matthew Potts's three victims.

Durham's reply has begun steadily but the loss of Alex Lees early is a blow and they have a long way to go to gain parity in this one.

  3. Lunch at Chesterfieldpublished at 13:04 BST 20 June

    Derbyshire 316-7 v Lancashire 161

A terrific morning for Derbyshire as they have added 119 runs for the loss of two wickets to Mitch Stanley to give them a 155-run advantahe.

Ben Aitchison has 38 and Anuj Dal is on 30 and they have put on 82 for this eighth wicket.

Lancashire have one over before they can take the second new ball, but this game is spiralling away from them.

  4. Lunch at Chelmsfordpublished at 13:03 BST 20 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 197-5

Three wickets in the session for Essex but Notts now lead in this game.

A missed stumping and a dropped catch (albeit Haseeb Hameed was out to the very next ball) have not helped the home side.

Hameed's dismissal for 89 came as something of a surprise as he came down the wicket to Simon Harmer and was caught in the deep.

The removal of Kyle Verreynne on the stroke of lunch was a timely one for the home side but Notts do not need to hurry this as they have plenty in hand to take a stranglehold.

    Mousley c Rew b Shaw 54 (Somerset 208 v Warks 129-3)

    An important breakthrough for Somerset.

Dan Mousley didn't seem to have settled after that rain delay and nicks off with a loose shot.

Josh Shaw gets a little extra bounce and it catches the outside edge as Mousley flashes outside off stump.

Thomas Rew does the rest behind the timbers to break the 115-run stand

    Beau Webster is in.

WICKET AND LUNCH AT HOVEpublished at 13:01 BST 20 June

    Albert c Leaning b Price 5 (Sussex v Hants 9-2 - lead by 41)

A NINTH wicket in the morning session goes down at Hove and lunch will now be taken.

Tom Price gets Toby Albert to push at one and its a really good catch at second slip by Jack Leaning.

The players now walk off for some food. Hampshire lead by 41 runs and that is certainly a lead that they will have been delighted with if they were offered at the beginning of the day.

But with both openers now back in the shed once more, they will have a lot to mull over during the interval.

  8. Postpublished at 13:00 BST 20 June

    Leics 236-3 v Yorks 185

The sunshine has broken out in this part of Leicester and Rehan Ahmed will be looking to make hay and kick on after bringing up three figures.

He plays Jack White easily into the legside for two as the Leicestershire lead passes 50.

  9. 50 runs

50 partnership for Pearspublished at 12:59 BST 20 June

    Worcs 50-0 v Glos 289

Dan Lategan and Jake Libby bring up a half-century opening stand as Lategan confidently reverses sweeps Graeme van Buuren for four.

The Pears will be pretty pleased with their morning's work.

  10. 300 up for Derbyshirepublished at 12:57 BST 20 June

    Derbyshire 312-7 v Lancashire 161

Josh Bohannon is thrown the ball and his first ball is sent past backward point for four by Anuj Dal to take Derbyshire's lead up to 151.

Dal and Aitchison have added 74 for this eighth wicket in excellent fashion, which has already seen them past 250 and 300 to earn two batting points and this is setting them up for a very big first innings advantage.

  11. Postpublished at 12:53 BST 20 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 185-4

Good stuff from Jack Haynes and Kyle Verreynne for Notts as they have added 32 runs already for the fifth wicket in seven overs.

The defending champions get their noses in front.

    Glamorgan 330-7 v Surrey

A maiden century in his 12th year of first-class cricket for Glamorgan's Mason Crane!

After being dismissed earlier this season for 99, that will be a huge relief for the 29-year-old right-hander, who reaches his ton off 217 balls.

He has continued where he left off overnight following the dismissal of Chris Cooke in the first over this morning and has helped push his side close to their third batting point of the day.

A superb innings and Crane is warmly applauded by those inside Sophia Gardens this afternoon as he hugs his partner Colin Ingram at the other end like his life depends on it.

A quick reminder that when Crane walked to the crease yesterday, Glamorgan were at that stage 79-6.

In Leicestershire circles, there are plenty of raised eyebrows about the fact Rehan Ahmed hasn't been included in this week's Test match at The Oval.

It's easy to be wise after the fact, but the leg-spinning all-rounder would seemingly have added balance to their batting order, while offering control and varied spin.

He's playing with such calm and poise, starting day two in the way he ended day one, with some sublime flourishes and sensible shot selection this morning. He's driven well all innings, but has been quickly onto the short stuff as Yorkshire have tried a different approach after the rain delay.

He isn't going hard at the ball, but rather is trying to time it through the gap, in conditions slightly more favourable to the bowlers.

Yorkshire look a little devoid of ideas, they're struggling to get anything from the ball or the pitch, and at the moment, the Foxes look like building a comfortable lead.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:50 BST 20 June

    Lees lbw b Sanderson 6 (Durham 10-1 v Northants 450)

    Now then.

Alex Lees looks stunned to be given out LBW to a ball which seemed to hit him on the high side but he must depart and Ben Sanderson strikes for Northants.

    Will Rhodes strides out.

    Gubbins c Simpson b Unadkat 2 (Sussex v Hants 7-1)

Sussex get their first in the seventh over!

Nick Gubbins doesn't look too happy with the decision here I think it's fair to say!

It looks like it may well have flicked the thigh pad but Gubbins is adjudged to have nicked behind to John Simpson who makes a good catch low down.

Big breakthrough for the hosts who trail by 39.

  16. 100 runs

100 for Rehan Ahmedpublished at 12:48 BST 20 June

    Leics 232-3 v Yorks 185

    Well played, sir!

Rehan Ahmed plays with soft hands to twice guide Jack White down to the third man boundary to bring up his seventh first-class century.

It's been a really well-judged knock, mixing aggression and intent with caution when required, and has come off 128 balls with 15 fours and a maximum.

An innings that may well have a few ears pricking up among the England selectors.

His previous best first-class score for the Foxes this season was 34 - against Sussex at the start of April.

    Somerset 208 v Warks 128-2

Dan Mousley follows his batting partner to fifty as he cuts Alfie Ogborne backward of square in the offside for four.

He is playing a good hand here with Sam Hain - they have put on 114 for the third wicket after the Bears' early-innings wobble.

Mousley's 17th first-class half-century - and third of the campaign - has come at a slightly quicker pace than Hain, off 99 balls.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 12:47 BST 20 June

    Geddes c Stewart b Milnes 9 (Kent 416 v Middlesex 17-2)

More good stuff from Matt Milnes as he removes both Middlesex openers.

Ben Geddes is always keen to play positively and that proves to be his downfall as he drives away from his body.

It flies to gully where Grant Stewart takes a fine catch and Kent are delighted.

  19. Postpublished at 12:45 BST 20 June

    Worcs 44-0 v Glos 289

Will Williams thinks he has strangled Dan Lategan down the legside.

James Bracey takes the ball standing up to the stumps, but crucially the umpire is not moved.

Was Williams' reaction a sign that Gloucestershire are a bit nervous about this opening stand?

  20. Play resumes at Tauntonpublished at 12:44 BST 20 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 124-2

It's still gloomy, but we have cricket once more and lunch will be pushed back half-an-hour.

Josh Shaw gets the ball rolling, running in for his eighth over which brings a single apiece for Sam Hain and Dan Mousley to take their partnership to 110.

Hain then has to jab his bat down sharpish to keep out a well-directed yorker.
