  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:14 BST 20 June

    Brown c Leaning b Unadkat 0 (Sussex v Hants 26-5 - lead by 58)

I'm losing count here! Hampshire's fifth wicket goes down!

We won't even get to day three at this rate.

Former Sussex man Ben Brown, who spent 14 years down at Hove, has to go for a pair.

A full delivery by Jaydev Unadkat and Brown is pushing at this one. Jack Leaning takes a juggling catch at the second attempt at second slip.

Every time a batsman has made a mistake today, it has led to a wicket. There have been 12 so far already today (and counting).

  2. new ball

New ballpublished at 14:13 BST 20 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 235-5

Simon Harmer drops short and Lyndon James is not missing out on that as he rocks back and pulls it for a one-bounce four.

James cuts the next one away over the cover rope.

Those two deliveries looked tired ones from Harmer who has bowled 28 overs in this innings.

Essex take the new ball and bring Jamie Porter back to the attack whose first ball is tucked away for four runs by Jack Haynes to move to 70 not out.

  3. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:12 BST 20 June

    Lategan lbw b Williams 33 (Worcs 66-1 v Glos 289)

    Boy, did Gloucestershire need this.

Bowling round the wicket to left-hander Dan Lategan, Will Williams gets the call from the umpire. It must have been pretty full in length because it was a leg-stumpish delivery.

A touch of frustration for the opener and relief for the bowling side.

  4. Play to resume at Taunton at 14:15 BSTpublished at 14:10 BST 20 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 138-3

    News of a resumption.

We will back out in five minutes' time after our second rain delay of the day brought lunch.

We have 64.5 overs remaining in the day.

  5. wicket

WICKET AND GLAMORGAN ALL OUT FOR 358published at 14:08 BST 20 June

    Ingram b Atkinson 80 (Glamorgan 358 v Surrey)

    Gus Atkinson ends with four-fer!

Around the wicket, Atkinson takes Colin Ingram's off stump for 80 to end on figures of 4-61.

It hits the top of off as Ingram misses one, looking to guide down to third man.

That signals the end of the Glamorgan innings, and what a recovery job it's been by the hosts, who were at one stage 79-6.

They will be happy with their work today and it will be a day Mason Crane will never forget after he reached his maiden first-class century in his 12th season.

  6. 50 runs

50 for Nick Kellypublished at 14:07 BST 20 June

    Leics 263-3 v Yorks 185

Nick Kelly hits a cover drive for Leicestershire against YorkshireImage source, Shutterstock

Nick Kelly pushes a single off Dan Moriarty to complete his second half-century in Leicestershire whites.

The New Zealander started off like a train yesterday, but dug in a little this morning and brings up his landmark off 108 balls, with seven fours and a six.

It's the 22nd time the left-hander has raised his bat for fifty in first-class cricket.

  7. Postpublished at 14:06 BST 20 June

    Durham 45-3 v Northants 450

Successive boundaries from Ben Stokes off Ben Sanderson has certainly woken up the spectators at Chester-le-Street.

This could be entertaining...unless you are a Northants fan.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:06 BST 20 June

    Aitchison c Bohannon b Aitchison 75 (Derbyshire 359-8 v Lancashire 161)

Ben Aitchison's merriment ends at 75!

He tees off again against Jimmy Anderson but he goes high rather than handsome and Josh Bohannon takes the catch in the deep at long-off.

That ends a joyous stand of 125 between him and Anuj Dal, with the lead now 198.

  9. Postpublished at 14:05 BST 20 June

    Derbyshire 357-7 v Lancashire 161

And now Ben Aitchison decides to take down Sir James Anderson!

He launches a big attempted drive and it flies off the edge between wicketkeeper and first slip. Four.

Next ball, he makes proper contact and sends it high in the air and over long-on for a maximum.

Aitchison is now 73 not out.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:05 BST 20 June

    Norton lbw b Chahar 6 (Glamorgan 358-9 v Surrey)

Surrey get their ninth as Tom Norton is trapped LBW for six.

Rahul Chahar, after being dispatched into the legside boundary by Norton, gets his revenge by drifting the final delivery of the over in and hitting Norton's front pad.

It's a slow death by umpire Ulhas Gandhe, who gives time to think about it, before raising his finger.

  11. Postpublished at 14:04 BST 20 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 217-5

Simon Harmer tosses one up to Lyndon James who takes the bait and has a huge swing, gets a bottom edge and the ball goes past the stumps.

James then sends the finall ball of the over to the fence for four runs

Jack Haynes has got himself to 61 at the other end and Notts lead by 33 runs.

  12. 50 runs

50 for Ben Aitchisonpublished at 14:01 BST 20 June

    Derbyshire 346-7 v Lancashire 161

Mitch Stanley offers a touch of width and Ben Aitchison throws his arms at it and sends it over extra cover to the boundary for four.

It's a third for the Derbyshire man.

And next ball, he clubs it down the ground for another four.

Last ball of the over, he heaves one over extra cover for six.

Stanley is not happy. That is 14 in three balls as AItchison has moved from 49 to 63 not out.

Derbyshire lead by 185 and this partnership between him and Anuj Dal has gone from 98 to 112.

  13. Afternoon session begins at Grace Roadpublished at 14:00 BST 20 June

    Leics 253-3 v Yorks 185

Spin after lunch as Dan Moriarty continues for his 12th over as Nick Kelly faces.

Left-armer to left-hander and it ends in a maiden.

We'll have a change of bowling as Matt Revis runs in for his seventh over of the innings as Yorkshire look to make something happen.

The partnership with Rehan Ahmed stands on 128.

  14. Postpublished at 13:59 BST 20 June

    Durham 36-3 v Northants 450

Ben Stokes comes down the pitch to Harry Conway and hammers the ball away to the fence.

The man only knows one way to play and he is off the mark.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:59 BST 20 June

    Prest c Alsop b Price 1 (Sussex v Hants 19-4 - lead by 51)

    And another! And another!

Incredible stuff. Hampshire lose their second after lunch and Tom Price has a third wicket of the second innings already.

The regularity of watching batsmen walking back and forth to the pavilion is extraordinary.

This one is a regulation catch at first slip for Tom Alsop. Tom Prest trudges off for just 1.

We'll be lucky if we see cricket at Hove by this time tomorrow.

  16. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 13:57 BST 20 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 203-5

    Butter fingers Essex.

Paul Walter shells a second catch of the day and a third for Essex.

Jack Haynes gets one that leaps at him off a length from Matt Critchley and edges but Walter cannot hold on with his left hand in the slips.

  17. Run out chancepublished at 13:54 BST 20 June

    Sussex v Hants 17-3 - lead by 49

Sussex are up once more and they're convinced they've run out Ali Orr!

Umpire Mike Burns shakes his head though - that one looked tight as John Simpson does well with the gloves after a quick pick up and throw from the far end by Daniel Hughes.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:53 BST 20 June

    Du Plooy b Hasan 14 (Kent 416 v Middlesex 35-3)

The golden arm of Hasan Mahmud does the business with the third ball!

A fatal misjudgement from Middlesex captain Leus du Plooy as he tries to leave one as Hasan comes around the wicket and the off-stump is lying in a heap on the ground.

A 10th wicket in one-and-a-bit Kent games for the Bangladesh bowler.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 13:51 BST 20 June

    Bedingham c Vasconcelos b Conway 8 (Durham 30-3 v Northants 450)

David Bedingham edges behind off Harry Conway.

    In comes Ben Stokes.

His side are in trouble with the bat, not something he's unaccustomed to recently at international level either.

  20. Play resumes at Sophia Gardenspublished at 13:51 BST 20 June

    Glamorgan 350-8 v Surrey

Colin Ingram (78*) walks out to the crease with new partner Tom Norton following Mason Crane's dismissal for 106.

Dan Lawrence has three balls to claim Surrey's third bowling point, and is bowling to tailender Norton, who sees all three deliveries out for no run.

Gus Atkinson is straight back into the attack for the visitors.
