    Bess b B Green 9 (Leics v Yorks 144-7)

Ben Green picks up a third and Yorkshire are in a spot of bother.

The Foxes bowler keeps sending down a nagging line and induces Dom Bess to chop an inside edge onto his off stump.

Another momentum killer for the Yorkshire innings.

Hassan Ali joins George Hill (28).

    Essex 150-8 v Notts

There is some, not much but some applause as Essex reach 150.

How many more can they eke out from these final two wickets?

Notts would dearly like to polish this off swiftly.

Alex Green celebrates getting his maiden first-class wicket

Both Rehan Ahmed and Josh Hull have come through the Leicestershire set up of late to go on and represent England.

There have been whispers among those at Grace Road that there might be a third name coming - that of 19-year-old Alex Green.

He is so tall, 6ft 5in, and burly and broad, particularly for such a young man. But he has pace, and a bit of magic about him. Alfonso Thomas, the head coach, has already tipped him for international honours - and he has been a regular in the under-19 side.

On his third first-class match, he finally has a wicket too. Getting Matthew Revis's wicket was his maiden wicket in the four-day game, after three wicketless innings.

He's backed it up by getting James Wharton's wicket too. He's bowled with real maturity this morning, backing up strong spells of bowling from Ben Green and Josh Davey.

Yorkshire look a bit all over the place - they have been playing down the wrong line for most of their wickets, and have struggled. They haven't got many wickets left to salvage their innings.

  4. 50 runs

50 for Cameron Bancroftpublished at 14:51 BST 19 June

    Worcs v Glos 125-2

Cameron Bancroft pushes one into the offside from Fateh Singh and the single pushes him up to 50.

His 126-ball knock is providing a real rock for this Gloucestershire effort.

It's his fifth of the season, but he is yet to turn one into three figures. Can that change today?

    Essex 148-8 v Notts

Shane Snater is now trying to farm the strike for Essex.

It does not look like he fancies Liam Patterson-White bowling to his batting partner, Charlie Bennett.

This is pretty grim stuff from the Championship leaders.

Very good from the defending champions though.

    Somerset 147-7 v Warks

Josh Shaw has looked the most fluent of the Somerset batters out there today and nudges a single down the ground to bring up the fifty partnership with Lewis Goldsworthy.

And boy did Somerset need it after slumping to 97-7 shortly after lunch.

The 30-year-old has contributed 27 of them.

LANCASHIRE ALL OUT FOR 161published at 14:46 BST 19 June

    Stanley b Haydon 18 (Derbyshire v Lancashire 161)

Mitch Stanley goes for an almighty blow but misses and his stumps are disturbed by Rory Haydon.

An innings that started badly, losing Keaton Jennings in the first over, is all done and dusted inside 40 overs.

Jimmy Anderson ends unbeaten on 10, but there was precious little to smile about with that Red Rose effort.

Mohammad Abbas and Anuj Dal walk off with identical figures of 3-49.

    Durham v Northants 163-0

Off they go at Chester-le-Street as the light has got progressively worse and now there is some light drizzle as well.

You wonder whether Ricardo Vasconcelos (88*) and Luke Procter (56*) might fancy staying on!

    Essex 142-8 v Notts

A bit of resistance from Essex as Shane Snater leans back and hoists Liam Patterson-White over the long-on rope.

A rare bright moment for the home side on what has been a poor day with the willow so far.

  10. 50 runs

50 for Miles Hammondpublished at 14:42 BST 19 June

    Worcs v Glos 119-2

Miles Hammond has had the physio on but he is able to cut the slow left-armer Fateh Singh through cover for four and that takes him to a nice 50.

It's an eighth four and it has come off 105 ball as he and Cameron Bancroft enjoy the New Road sun.

It's been a real grind out there, but Lewis Goldsworthy has brought up his seventh career first-class fifty.

The 25-year-old brings up the landmark with a cut to cover, off Manav Suthar. The fifty comes from a patient 137 balls.

It's the first time he's raised his bat since hitting a ton against Essex last September.

    Potgieter c Haines b Carson 1 (Sussex v Hants 113-6)

    Another for Sussex!

    Delano Potieter taken at slip.

Some turn for Jack Carson away from the left-handed who follows it and almost guides it to Tom Haines.

  13. Postpublished at 14:39 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 161-0

Ben Stokes is bowling at a decent lick.

Into his ninth over now he gets one to rear-up at Luke Procter who does well to keep it down before following that with a bouncer which the Northants skipper evades.

    The light is getting worse...

  14. Postpublished at 14:39 BST 19 June

    Derbyshire v Lancashire 161-9

Jimmy Anderson tucks one away down to the fine leg fence for four off Mohammad Abbas.

And Sir James then unfurls the shot of the day as he drives Abbas past mid-off for another boundary.

    Millionaire's cricket, right there!

  15. Postpublished at 14:38 BST 19 June

    Leics v Yorks 139-6

Dom Bess looks to make hay while the sun shines as he gets off the mark with a first-ball four off Alex Green.

The intent continues as he makes it two boundaries off as many balls.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 14:35 BST 19 June

    Brown b Price 0 (Sussex v Hants 105-5)

Another for Tom Price two balls later!

And what a beauty. Angles in, seams away, beats the outside edge of Ben Brown and clatters into off-stump.

Superb delivery and Hampshire are now rocking.

But then goes to flick Tom Price to leg and a huge top edge is taken by John Simpson!

    Big blow.

WICKETpublished at 14:33 BST 19 June

    Wharton c Cox b A Green 56 (Leics v Yorks 131-6)

The Leicestershire bowler gets a little extra pace and bounce off the pitch and catches the edge as James Wharton looks to punch off the backfoot.

Ben Cox does the rest behind the timbers and Wharton's 109-ball vigil is done.

A 42-run stand is broken as Dom Bess joins George Hill (24).

As I look at the Warwickshire red ball team and compare it with the all-conquering team of 1994 there is a parallel. Both teams are full of all-rounders (Reeve, 2 Smiths, Twose and Brown vs Webster, Barnard, Woakes, Thompson). Sadly much though I like Mousley he isn’t Brian Lara!
