    Essex 184 v Notts 5-0

We have a pause in play before Shane Snater can bowl the second over of the innings.

Snater is unhappy with the surface where his front foot will land.

On come the groundstaff with a small spade and a brush.

    This may take a while.

  2. wicket

HAMPSHIRE ALL OUT AND TEApublished at 15:54 BST 19 June

    Jack c Coles b Carson 7 (Sussex v Hants 191 all out)

Eddie Jack slog sweeps Jack Carson but finds James Coles at deep midwicket and Hampshire are all done for only 191.

They’ll take tea at Hove and Sussex will be delighted with a great couple of sessions after losing the toss.

  3. SOMERSET ALL OUT and Teapublished at 15:53 BST 19 June

    Goldsworthy c Hain b Gilchrist 90 (Somerset 208 all out v Warks)

Lewis Goldsworthy cuts the returning Nathan Gilchrist for four and then top-edges a pull for four more.

He goes again but that is that as he skies it into the deep. Sam Hain runs around from backward point to take his third catch of the innings.

A fine innings of 90 comes to an end and what a valuable knock it might prove to be for the hosts. Their next highest score was Thomas Rew's 35.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:51 BST 19 June

    Bell-Drummond c Cracknell b Helm 5 (Kent 166-3 v Middlesex)

Tom Helm bends his back and that extra effort is enough to dispose of Kent captain Daniel Bell-Drummond.

The skipper looks to leave it, but the ball follows him and he somewhat steers it to Joe Cracknell behind the stumps.

    Middlesex chipping away this afternoon.

  5. Postpublished at 15:50 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 4-0

We are back out at Chelmsford after the end of the Essex first innings and tea.

The home side won the toss and could only manage 184.

They will need early wickets to get back into this.

Haseeb Hameed guides Jamie Porter's first ball away to the third-man rope.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:49 BST 19 June

    Reece c Livingstone b Balderson 13 (Derbyshire 40-2 v Lancashire 161)

That is a classic George Balderson delivery and it brings a wicket.

Bowling round the wicket to the left-handed Luis Reece, he forces the Derbyshire opener to play when he probably does not want to and it's well grabbed low down by Liam Livingstone at first slip.

This Chesterfield surface does not seem to be a batter's friend at the moment.

  7. Postpublished at 15:49 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 177-0

We are having a second change of the ball of the day and we have only had 47 overs.

Everyone has an opinion on which one they should choose from the case.

Will this third ball find a wicket for Durham?

  8. 200 runs

200 up for Somersetpublished at 15:48 BST 19 June

    Somerset 200-9 v Warks

Jake Ball helps the ball round the corner and on its way for four as Manav Suthar strays down the legside.

Lewis Goldsworthy twice turns down a single off Ed Barnard as lusty pulls into the legside fail to find the boundary.

He does accept the offer with two balls left and that single brings up the 200.

With Somerset nine down, tea will be delayed for either half-an-hour or until the last wicket falls.

  9. Postpublished at 15:48 BST 19 June

    Glam 168-6 v Surrey

Gus Atkinson, enjoying a good day, is back for a third spell.

But he offers some width to Mason Crane and gets dabbed through gully for four.

He then goes too full and Chris Cooke drives sweetly past extra cover for another boundary.

This seventh wicket have now put on 89.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:43 BST 19 June

    Neal c Carson b Unadkat 24 (Sussex v Hants 184-9)

    Hampshire nine down.

Andrew Neal had played well for some useful runs from number nine but Jaydev Unadkat, round the wicket, gets one to bounce and it takes a thick edge to gully.

  11. Tea at Grace Roadpublished at 15:41 BST 19 June

Leics v Yorks 185 all out

The last Yorkshire wicket has brought tea at Leicester.

It will no doubt taste mighty good for the hosts.

Have Kent lost since the social media ban was imposed? Genius work from Hollioake

    Jonny Jones, Maidstone

    An excellent question, Jonny.

Their Championship record since said ban reads, played four, won three, drawn one.

It may well be a stroke of genius from Adam Hollioake!

  13. Postpublished at 15:40 BST 19 June

    Derbyshire 32-1 v Lancashire 161

Watchful stuff from Luis Reece and Matthew Montgomery as they try to blunt the Lancashire new-ball bowling.

And they have seen off five overs from Jimmy Anderson for a start and Derbyshire are already less than 130 runs behind the visitors' limp 161.

    Durham v Northants 176-0

    A 14th first-class century for Ricardo Vasconcelos.

It's his third 100 of the season with 13 fours and two sixes after he was dropped off the bowling of Ben Stokes when on 13 earlier this morning.

There looks to be plenty more runs out there if he wants them as well.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:37 BST 19 June

    Pretorius c&b Suthar 15 (Somerset 191-9 v Warks)

Migael Pretorius trudges back to the pavilion with head bowed as he becomes Manav Suthar's second victim.

It's not the best ball in the world but Pretorius smacks it straight back at the spinner who takes a comfortable catch.

Jake Ball is Somerset's last hope.

  16. wicket

YORKSHIRE ALL OUT FOR 185published at 15:36 BST 19 June

    White lbw b Ahmed 0 (Leics v Yorks 185)

Two wickets in two balls for Rehan Ahmed and that's that.

The England spinner angles one n from around the wicket and traps Jack White in froint for a golden duck.

Leicestershire will be delighted with that after losing the toss.

Back out and the ball from Ben Stokes is in the car park as Ricardo Vasconcelos pulls him for a maximum.

The opener moves to 96 not out.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:33 BST 19 June

    Ali lbw b Ahmed 23 (Leics v Yorks 185-9)

    Yorkshire on the brink.

Rehan Ahmed strikes with just his seventh ball as Hassan Ali looks to sweep again but misses and is pinned in front.

    Jack White is last man.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:32 BST 19 June

    Prest b Coles 49 (Sussex v Hants 170-8)

With Tom Prest going well, Hampshire still had ambitions to cobble together a useful number.

But Prest has gone, cleaned up by a quicker ball from James Coles. It’s fired in and rushes through Prest playing back and trying to force away on the offside.

    Sussex almost through now.

  20. wicket

ESSEX ALL OUT FOR 184published at 15:31 BST 19 June

    Snater b Patterson-White 31 (Essex 184 v Notts)

The fun is over for Shane Snater.

He goes for an ugly looking swipe and is bowled by Liam Patterson-White who finishes with a career-best return of 6-43.
