    Kent 202-4 v Middlesex

A bit later than elsewhere, but it's time for a cuppa in the garden of England!

Kent have ground their way to 201, but those three wickets from Tom Helm have brought Middlesex right back into it after half-centuries from Bens, Dawkins and Compton.

    Gumbs lbw b Hassan 5 (Leics 17-1 v Yorks 185)

    Commentator's curse strikes again!

Just as Leicestershire looked to have settled, Hassan Ali angles one from around the wicket and wraps the back pad of Sheridon Gumbs.

It looks high but it's given and Yorkshire have the breakthrough in the seventh over.

Rehan Ahmed is in after his earlier two-wicket cameo.

  3. Postpublished at 16:23 BST 19 June

    Leics 17-0 v Yorks 185

Sheridon Gumbs looks solid in defence as Jack White pounds in for his third over.

It's a second maiden for the big Yorkshire bowler, but the hosts won't mind maidens too much if they can keep wickets intact.

  4. 200 runs

200 up for Northantspublished at 16:20 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 202-2

They have lost Luke Procter and Calvin Harrison in the space of four balls but Ricardo Vasconcelos (122*) is going along his merry way as he drives straight to the boundary and up comes the visitors' 200.

Bowling remains a tough choice of profession at Chester-le-Street today.

  5. Tea at Chesterfieldpublished at 16:17 BST 19 June

    Derbyshire 75-2 v Lancashire 161

That is a lovely cover drive for four from Matthew Montgomery off George Balderson and then he crunches the next ball, which is overpitched, for four more through the offside.

He defends the last ball of the over and that is tea.

Montgomery has 41, the highest score of the day and Derbyshire trail by only 86 as they grab a 20-minute break.

    Somerset 208 v Warks 0-0

No surprises that Somerset skipper Craig Overton will take the new ball as Warwickshire begin their reply.

Just how par or below will Somerset's total of 208 prove to be?

A well-judged leave from Rob Yates as Overton's second ball moves back appreciably off the pitch just past off-stump. Maiden.

Alex Davies will face his first ball from Jake Ball.

    Shane Snater is smiling now.

He comes around the wicket to Ben Slater and with the merest bit of nip away he finds the edge.

Freddie McCann is in at number three for Notts.

11 wickets have fallen so far today.

  8. Goldsworthy knock gives Somerset hopepublished at 16:10 BST 19 June

Tea: Somerset 208 all out v Warwickshire

    Mike Taylor
    BBC WM commentator

Whether 208 turns out to be remotely competitive may become much clearer by the close, but Somerset are indebted to Lewis Goldsworthy for getting even to that mark.

When he faced his first ball, having already seen one partner perish while he was waiting, Somerset were three wickets down only four overs into the match.

His batting was less hurried than any of his colleagues managed, choosing the right balls to attack often enough to hit 13 boundaries, and he only perished for 90 while trying to scramble quick runs before his partners ran out.

Largely thanks to him, Somerset more than doubled their total after Craig Overton and Jack Leach had both fallen within ten minutes of the restart after lunch. Goldsworthy found an able partner in Josh Shaw, who played with commendable restraint for an hour until attempting to hit Manav Suthar into the river, as Thomas Rew did this morning, but was well caught off a steepler by Sam Hain at long-on.

Beau Webster’s sharpest spell for Warwickshire included a burst of 4-8 either side of lunch, leading to his best figures for the county. It now falls to the Bears’ top order to prove that their bowling unit did a fine job to keep the Somerset score so low.

  9. Postpublished at 16:10 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 19-0

Shane Snater is happy once again.

His first ball of his second over is smacked to the mid wicket fence by Haseeb Hameed.

This is not going well for Snater or Essex.

  10. Postpublished at 16:09 BST 19 June

    Leics 12-0 v Yorks 185

There's plenty of encouragement for the Yorkshire bowlers as both Hassan Ali and Jack White repeatedly find the edge with the new ball.

Hassan is particularly unlucky as Rishi Patel twice edges to the rope to go to a run-a-ball 11.

  11. Tea at Sophia Gardenspublished at 16:08 BST 19 June

    Glam 190-6 v Surrey

You really feared for Glamorgan when they slumped to 79-6 just after lunch. And with Colin Ingram also having been forced to retire hurt after being struck on the hand by Gus Atkinson.

But Chris Cooke and Mason Crane have done an excellent clean up job with a hundred partnership in 167 balls to take their side to tea in reasonable shape.

Cooke is 70 and Crane 36. More is needed after the break as you feel the home side are a long way under par after winning the toss.

The break is perhaps what Surrey need after 32 unsuccessful overs.

    Essex 184 v Notts 15-0

May have spoken too soon (16:02).

The groundstaff are back out at Chelmsford with Shane Snater looking at where his front foot will land again.

    Northeast b Helm 42 (Kent 181-4 v Middlesex)

    Bowled him!

A third wicket for Tom Helm as he steams in and knocks over Sam Northeast's off-pole, possibly with a hint of inside edge.

It's 3-35 for Helm and he is making an outstanding contribution on a hot afternoon for his team.

  15. wicket

    Harrison LBW b Raine 0 (Durham v Northants 191-2)

    One becomes two.

Calvin Harrison has watched Ricardo Vasconcelos and Luke Procter make hay for much of the day and when he finally gets a go he is pinned LBW by Ben Raine from his fourth ball faced.

  16. Postpublished at 16:02 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 10-0

Shane Snater is happy with the work the groundstaff have done.

His second ball is hit for four by Haseeb Hameed.

  17. Century for Vasconcelospublished at 16:00 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 191-1

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Ricardo Vasconcelos reaches his third century of the season and his 14th in FC cricket. He was dropped this morning on 13!

The hundred comes in 143 balls, with two sixes and 13 fours. It's his second against Durham, following 105 not out here in a draw in 2019.

He should have been out this morning when he clipped Ben Stokes' fourth ball of the day to Ben McKinney at leg slip. But the fielder put it down.

  18. Evening session begins at Grace Roadpublished at 16:00 BST 19 June

    Leics 4-0 v Yorks 185

Rishi Patel gets the Leicestershire first innings up and running by taking three off Hassan Ali.

Sheridon Gumbs also gets off the mark first ball with a lucky inside edge.

Good opening over. Can Jack White replicate?

  19. 100 partnershippublished at 15:58 BST 19 June

    Glam 179-6 v Surrey

A very smart fightback by Chris Cooke, now 65 having gone to fifty in just 56 balls, and Mason Crane, 31.

Remains to be seen if the damage was already done but a good effort to get Glamorgan back in the day nonetheless.

    Procter c Robinson b Raine 58 (Durham v Northants 191-1)

    Finally!

It was beginning to look like Durham would go wicketless but Ben Raine finally extracts an edge from Luke Procter's bat and Ollie Robinson takes an easy catch.

A great effort from the Northants skipper who has helped to give his side a brilliant base to build from.
