    Derbyshire 89-2 v Lancashire 161

A fine stroke from Caleb Jewell as he eases one through the offside for four to move to 16, one shy of a 50 partnership for him and Matthew Montgomery.

But Paul Coughlin beats him with the next ball going past the outside edge.

Lancashire need a clutch of wickets in the final session, but it's not happening for them at the moment.

  2. Postpublished at 16:57 BST 19 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 26-2

Craig Overton gives himself a breather after a brilliant five-over burst and Migael Pretorius joins the attack.

The back of Overton seems to be a relief for Dan Mousley and Sam Hain who pick up a boundary apiece.

  3. Postpublished at 16:54 BST 19 June

    Leics 64-1 v Yorks 185

Matt Revis into the Yorkshire attack as they look to halt the momentum of the pacy Leicestershire innings.

He almost takes the edge of Rishi Patel with a beauty which moves away, but the opener immediately responds with more intent.

Patel flashes hard and gets a thick outside edge down to a square third-man boundary to motor to 41 off just 35 balls.

    More T20 than red ball.

    Hughes lbw Potgieter 19 (Sussex 39-1 v Hants 191)

Hampshire need a good end to what’s been a poor day and here’s a start.

Dan Hughes is pinned in the crease by Delano Potgieter and struck on the back pad in front of all three.

  5. wicket

    Van Buuren c Lategan b Singh 23 (Worcs v Glos 191-5)

Oh dear, that is rather a village dismissal for Graeme van Buuren!

Left-armer Fateh Singh bowls a bit of a half-tracker and van Buuren goes to pull it through the legside but gets it all wrong, it loops up off the bat and it drops into the hands of Dan Lategan in the point-gully area.

That really is a bad way to get out.

  6. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 16:49 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 220-3

Kasey Aldridge again puts one down at second slip off Saif Zaib from the bowling of Matthew Potts.

That is the second time the same three players have been involved in a dropped catch.

Aldridge may owe Potts a pint at the close of play.

  7. 50 runs

50 up for Nottspublished at 16:48 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 51-1

Simon Harmer is searching for the wickets to get Essex back in this game.

Visiting skipper Haseeb Hameed is looking good and a four is followed by a couple of runs to bring up the Notts 50.

  8. Postpublished at 16:47 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 220-3

The lights are back on at Chester-le-Street.

We have already had one stoppage for bad light which then became light drizzle and there is some threatening cloud building up.

    Play continues for now.

  9. 50 runs

50 up for Leicestershirepublished at 16:45 BST 19 June

    Leics 50-1 v Yorks 185

Rishi Patel continues on his way with three more as George Hill is in for a second over.

It takes him to 34 and brings up the hosts' fifty at the start of the 12th over.

Warwickshire have had a fantastic day so far, they just just need to 'dig in' and apply themselves with the bat and not lose four or five wickets for not very much (as has happened too often this season).

    Leics 47-1 v Yorks 185

A tough baptism for George Hill as he replaces Jack White.

His first ball strays on to the pads of Rishi Patel who times a flick so well it flies for six.

The next ball is driven for four through the covers and the fourth ball is also dispatched to the boundary.

The Leicestershire opener then gets a life on 30 as he pulls Hassan Ali around the corner and is dropped on the boundary rope.

  12. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 16:43 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 215-3

A second one goes down for Durham today.

This time Kasey Aldridge grasses one off Saif Zaib from the bowling of Matthew Potts.

Given the day they have had in the field, dropped catches they certainly cannot afford.

  13. Postpublished at 16:42 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 40-1

Simon Harmer is getting the ball to turn but the left-handed Freddie McCann is using the reverse sweep to good affect, picking up two boundaries.

Harmer's third over ends with a huge shout for LBW as he hits McCann on the full.

    Not out is the decision.

  14. Postpublished at 16:41 BST 19 June

    Worcs v Glos 186-4

A bit of a power struggle in this last session at New Road.

Miles Hammond is on 93 and Graeme van Buuren has 19 but Worcestershire have kept the scoring enough in check to still feel well in the game.

    Yates c and b Overton 11 (Somerset 208 v Warks 14-2)

    And another!

Craig Overton gets his reward for a probing spell as he removes remaining opener Rob Yates.

He chips a catch back to the tall paceman, the ball after taking the Somerset skipper for four.

    Welcome, Sam Hain.

12 wickets so far at Chesterfield.

11 at each of Grace Road, Taunton, and Chelmsford.

    Just the 10 at Hove.

Where will most wickets have fallen by the close of play?

    Davies c Overton b Ball 3 (Somerset 208 v Warks 10-1)

    But there's the breakthrough!

Craig Overton has been threatening, but it's Jake Ball who takes the edge, angling one sharply back into Alex Davies.

The outside edge flies low to Overton at second slip who takes a neat two-handed catch, low to his left.

Just the 11th wicket of the day.

    Dan Mousley joins Rob Yates.

  18. Postpublished at 16:30 BST 19 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 10-0

Craig Overton is giving both Bears openers a real working over, continually beating the edge, but without yet finding it.

Just the single for Rob Yates off 18 balls.

But with his 19th he leans back and slaps Overton for six!

    McSeeeney c Robinson b Rhodes 7 (Durham v Northants 209-3)

Are Durham forcing their way back into this?

Will Rhodes bowls down the legside but Nathan McSweeney gets something on it and Ollie Robinson takes the catch.

It is the third time this season McSweeney has been dismissed in this fashion - once might be unlucky but three times?

    In comes Saif Zaib.

The Notts spinner Liam Patterson-White returned career-best figures of 6-43 in the Essex innings.

We are in the eighth over and Essex turn to the spin of Simon Harmer.
