  1. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 17:26 BST 19 June

    Leics 102-1 v Yorks 185

    That's a dolly!

Matt Revis induces an outside edge from Rishi Patel and it pops up at a nice height to Adam Lyth at first slip.

It somehow bursts through his hands and runs for four to bring up three figures for Leicestershire.

A second life for Patel who goes to 64.

  2. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 17:26 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 259-3

A fourth catch of the day goes down for Durham

This time Ollie Robinson cannot hold on to an edge from Ricardo Vasconcelos off Callum Parkinson.

Robinson is standing-up to the spinner but would have expected to take the catch.

The 50 partnership comes between Vasconcelos and Saif Zaib.

  3. 50 runs

50 up for Somersetpublished at 17:23 BST 19 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 55-2

Sam Hain picks up three and that will be 50 up for Warwickshire in the 17th over.

Hain and Dan Mousley have looked pretty untroubled since coming together on 14-2. A slight concern for the hosts.

    Jewell b Stanley 26 (Derbyshire 106-3 v Lancashire)

Mitch Stanley is brought back into the Lancashire attack and his extra pace does the trick!

His third ball is hit for four by Caleb Jewell, but two balls later, he strikes. Jewell is possibly expecting the ball to bounce a little more but instead it clips the stumps and the Aussie is a goner!

  5. 6 runs

Postpublished at 17:21 BST 19 June

    Leics 98-1 v Yorks 185

    That's huge!

Rehan Ahmed is showing Dan Moriarty no mercy as he steps down the pitch and goes onto one leg to absolutely whack the ball for six.

Not just over the rope, but out of the ground and perhaps worrying the punters in the nearby pub.

    Fetch the replacement ball!

  6. 50 runs

50 for Haseeb Hameedpublished at 17:20 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 70-2

The Notts skipper Haseeb Hameed greets Charlie Bennett's fourth delivery with a flowing drive to the cover fence.

Haseeb goes to a half cenury from 79 balls and wafts his bat to the pavillion in acknowledgement.

  7. 50 runs

50 for Matthew Montgomerypublished at 17:19 BST 19 June

    Derbyshire 101-2 v Lancashire 161

Matthew Montgomery cuts one to backward point and the single allows him to raise his bat upon reaching a half-century.

It's a third of the season and a first of the match from Montgomery and it is putting Derbyshire into a potentially very strong position.

  8. 250 runs

250 up for Northantspublished at 17:17 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 251-3

Saif Zaib, already dropped twice, creams one away to the boundary to bring up the Northants 250.

That four is followed by a drinks break for the players.

  9. Postpublished at 17:16 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 64-2

    Essex want the ball changed.

Umpires Tom Lungley and Paul Pollard have the measure out to see if it will go through it.

Notts skipper Haseeb Hameed comes across to take a look.

We will continue with the same ball and while that happens the players take drinks.

  10. Postpublished at 17:15 BST 19 June

    Leics 90-1 v Yorks 185

Rehan Ahmed welcomes his fellow spinner Dan Moriarty into the attack by taking him for two boundaries in his first red-ball over of the season.

The runs continue to flow as Rishi Patel shows more immaculate timing, chipping Matt Revis to the wide long on boundary.

The deficit is already down to double figures. A brilliant start for the hosts.

  11. 100 for Chris Cookepublished at 17:11 BST 19 June

    Glam 241-6 v Surrey

There’s been a sense this season that the career of 40-year-old Chris Cooke is perhaps winding down.

But after only 185 runs in 11 innings before today, he’s shown he’s still got it by going to a 15th first-class hundred and first for two seasons.

143 balls and 12 fours. It’s been a fluent knock to rescue his side from deep trouble.

Can he now get through the second new ball?

  12. Postpublished at 17:11 BST 19 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 41-2

Jake Ball is out of the attack after a lovely opening six-over spell in tandem with Craig Overton.

He could well have had better figures than his more than tidy 1-10.

Dan Mousley welcomes his replacement Josh Shaw by sending him to the boundary for four.

  13. 100 runs

100 up for Derbyshirepublished at 17:11 BST 19 June

    Derbyshire 100-2 v Lancashire 161

A slightly uppish square drive from Caleb Jewell, but he gets four and the Derbyshire 100 is up.

Jimmy Anderson is in his 11th wicketless over and he and his team badly need to stem the flow here.

Get Involvedpublished at 17:08 BST 19 June

    #bbccricket

Only three sides have never finished bottom of the county championship- Surrey, Middlesex and Lancashire. With Lancashire’s performances this year this could be down to two at end of season

    Paul, Manchester

They are certainly playing some very poor cricket at the moment. Finishing bottom, given their status and resources, would be a severe embarrassment for Lancashire.

  15. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 17:08 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 62-2

It is a tough chance but will have to go down as a dropped catch.

A ball from Simon Harmer gets extra bounce and rolls up Joe Clarke's bat.

Michael Pepper behind the stumps has to dive a long way forward and can only get fingertips to it before the ball hits the deck.

Heads in hands all around the field - it would have been some catch.

  16. 50 runs

50 for Rishi Patelpublished at 17:05 BST 19 June

    Leics 76-1 v Yorks 185

Rishi Patel hits a pull shot against YorkshireImage source, Shutterstock

Rishi Patel drives elegantly to the long-on boundary for his seventh four to bring up a dynamic fifty off just 49 balls.

It brings back-to-back half-centuries for the Leicestershire opener after scoring 58 in the second-innings fightback against Essex last weekend.

It's also Patel's fifth of a tough season for the Foxes - and the 18th of his first-class career. Chapeau!

  17. 100 runs

100 for Miles Hammondpublished at 17:02 BST 19 June

    Worcs v Glos 205-5

Miles Hammond strokes a fine four off Ethan Brookes and that moves him to 99.

And he only has to wait two balls to turn that into three figures as Brookes offers a bit of width and he steers it to backward point for another boundary.

Off 221 balls, Hammond reaches his hundred, a second of the season for the 30-year-old.

  18. 50 runs

    50 partnershippublished at 17:01 BST 19 June

    Derbyshire 91-2 v Lancashire 161

A good cut shot from Matthew Montgomery off Jimmy Anderson and he would get four, if not for some fine fielding near the rope from Mitch Stanley.

But it's two to the total and a partnership now worth 51 between him and Caleb Jewell.

  19. 150 partnershippublished at 16:59 BST 19 June

    Glam 230-6 v Surrey

This tremendous fightback continues for Glamorgan as Chris Cooke, 93, and Mason Crane, 54, bring up the 150 stand in 245 balls.

Crane’s fifty came in 120 balls and is his third half-century of the season.

Second new ball is six overs away.

Shane Snater celebrates bowling Freddie McCannImage source, Shutterstock

    Two for Shane Snater.

Around the wicket to the left-handed Freddie McCann, he again finds just enough movement to beat the defensive prod and rattle off stump.

Joe Clarke joins Haseeb Hameed at the wicket.
