WICKETpublished at 17:55 BST 19 June

    J Taylor c Brookes b Allison 21 (Worcs v Glos 239-6)

A 21st over of the day from Ben Allison brings a much-deserved second wicket.

There is definitely an air of away swing about this and it tempts Jack Taylor into playing and his drive is well snaffled at first slip by Ethan Brookes.

Worcestershire fighting hard to keep their opponents in check at New Road.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:53 BST 19 June

    Leaning lbw b Potgieter 0 (Sussex 93-3 v Hants 191)

Further succour for Hampshire with eight overs left.

Delano Potgieter gets a full delivery to nip back on Jack Leaning and he’s properly lbw.

    14-ball duck. Ouch.

100 up for Nottspublished at 17:53 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 101-2

Another boundary from Haseeb Hameed takes him to 66* and brings up the Notts 100.

A wicket does not look imminent for the home side.

  4. Postpublished at 17:51 BST 19 June

    Leics 114-2 v Yorks 185

George Hill bustles in to bowl to his namesake Lewis.

The batter Hill is watchful and sways out of the way of a bouncer as bowler Hill bends his back.

A third successive maiden for the visitors who have done well to keep things tight after Rishi Patel's wicket.

The Foxes were flying along at five-an-over before he fell.

  5. Postpublished at 17:50 BST 19 June

    Derbyshire 135-3 v Lancashire 161

A bit of width from Mitch Stanley and Matthew Montgomery crunches it through the covers for four.

Two more as he flashes a touch at another ball outside off and that sees the Derbyshire number three take his score to 70.

It is proving a very valuable innings for his side in the context of this game.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:46 BST 19 June

    Zaib c Robinson b McKinney 61 (Durham v Northants 302-4)

    Ben McKinney has a wicket!

It is a strangle down the legside and Ollie Robinson anticipates well to take the catch off Saif Zaib.

A maiden first-class wicket for Ben McKinney.

  7. 300 runs

300 up for Northantspublished at 17:45 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 302-3

Saif Zaib dances down the wicket to Ben McKinney and cracks the ball away for four.

    Up comes the Northants 300.

McKinney is the seventh bowler to be used by Durham

  8. Catches win matches but drops are costlypublished at 17:44 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 296-3

    Martin Emmerson
    BBC Radio Newcastle

Catches win matches. Ricardo Vasconcelos was dropped on 13 this morning and now has 146. He was recently dropped on 136 as well.

Saif Zaib, dropped on 0 and six, now has 55. His 50 came in 64 balls and included seven fours.

Their partnership is worth 87, yet neither should be out there. Durham have only got themselves to blame for sloppiness in the field after putting Northants in.

22 overs remain in the CLS. It's gloomy though, even with the lights on, so I am not sure we will see all of those today.

If we do, that's about an hour and 20 minutes. It's going to be a late one.

    Somerset 208 v Warks 68-2

Dan Mousley's pull just evades the fielder and runs for four.

It brings a valuable 50-run stand for the third wicket, from 87 balls.

Mousley (21) and Sam Hain (31) have batted very sensibly to steady the ship but will dearly love to go on and put the Bears in command.

  10. 50 runs

50 for Chris Benjaminpublished at 17:42 BST 19 June

    Kent 264-5 v Middlesex

Two fours from Zafar Gohar's over and Chris Benjamin moves to 55.

The Kent wicketkeeper follows up his 103 in Blackpool last week with more good runs here to help his team and at a strike rate of not much below 100.

  11. Bad light at Sophia Gardenspublished at 17:39 BST 19 June

    Glam 244-6 v Surrey

The new ball can’t be taken at Sophia Gardens as dark cloud rolls overhead.

Spin could have carried on but Surrey are desperate for the new nut and are happy to be off the field the way their afternoon has gone.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:37 BST 19 June

    Patel st Bairstow b Moriarty 67 (Leics 113-2 v Yorks 185)

    Boy, did Yorkshire need that.

Dan Moriarty has been given some punishment but sticks to his guns and flights one up to Rishi Patel.

The Foxes opener can't resist and comes down the track, but misses and wicketkeeper Jonny Bairstow has a simple job to whip off the bails. It breaks a rapid 96-run stand.

Lewis Hill, fresh from his ton on Monday, joins Rehan Ahmed.

  13. 50 runs

50 for Saif Zaibpublished at 17:36 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 286-3

Dropped on 0 and six but Saif Zaib nudges a single to go to his third 50 this season.

Durham only have themselves to blame.

  14. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:36 BST 19 June

    Haines c Lehmann b Abbott 52 (Sussex 90-2 v Hants 191)

Tom Haines pushes too hard outside off at a good length ball from Kyle Abbott and nicks to second slip.

He throws his head back in frustration as he trudges off. He knows his side have Hampshire on the ropes and a big score was there for the taking.

Can Hants mount a fightback in the closing overs now?

  15. Postpublished at 17:36 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 83-2

Charlie Bennett goes past the outside edge of Joe Clarke's bat.

He has bowled well with no reward so far.

Essex badly need a third wicket with 11 overs remaining in the day.

Matt Critchley is going to have a go with his leg spinners.

  16. Postpublished at 17:34 BST 19 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 57-2

Somerset turn to the spin of Jack Leach to try and break a partnership that is becoming a frustration for the hosts.

He picked up four wickets in that big victory at Notts, three of those coming in the first innings.

Sam Hain continues to be watchful and plays out a maiden. He and Dan Mousley have added 43 to steady the Bears' early wobble.

  17. Batting point for Kentpublished at 17:34 BST 19 June

    Kent 250-5 v Middlesex

Chris Benjamin runs a single into the offside and that is enough to bring up Kent's first batting point of the innings.

He is also closing in on a half-century, just three away on 47.

  18. 50 runs

for Tom Hainespublished at 17:31 BST 19 June

    Sussex 85-1 v Hants 191

Really strong reply this from Sussex. They’re breezing along at over four-an-over.

The captain Tom Haines is leading their progress and he goes to fifty in 55 balls with eight fours.

13 overs left in the day.

WICKETpublished at 17:27 BST 19 June

    Singh c Cracknell b Morgan 17 (Kent 241-5 v Middlesex)

Chris Benjamin and Ekansh Singh have really battled for Kent since tea, but Singh is dislodged by Seb Morgan.

A 49-ball effort is ended as he feathers one behind and Morgan has his second. With 22 overs left in the day, there is plenty of time for one side or the other to claim control of the game.
