  1. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:23 BST 19 June

    Andersson c Singh b Bohannon (Derbyshire 177-5 v Lancashire 161)

Josh Bohannon strikes with his dibbly-dobbler medium pace.

A little bit of everything in the Lancashire vice-captain's three overs, but he has a wicket to his name.

He gets a ball in the right place and Martin Andersson is very well caught low down at slip by Harry Singh.

  2. Close of play at Worcesterpublished at 18:22 BST 19 June

    Worcs v Glos 258-7

A very hard-fought day of Championship cricket draws to a close at New Road.

Worcestershire's bowlers have run in hard all day but they have found a very obdurate opponent in Miles Hammond.

The Gloucestershire number four walks off 128 not out off 280 balls. He came in this morning at 35-2 and he is fighting to take his team to a strong first-innings score.

  3. 50 runs

50 for Rehan Ahmedpublished at 18:19 BST 19 June

    Leics 148-3 v Yorks 185

Rehan Ahmed flicks Jack White into the legside for a single and that brings up his fifty from just 63 balls.

A 10th first-class fifty for the 22-year-old. He seems to have been around for ages!

An innings full of intent with seven fours and a six and it has put Leicestershire in a really strong position.

  4. 350 up for Northantspublished at 18:19 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 353-5

The runs keep coming for Northants and Ricardo Vasconcelos (173*).

    Up comes the 350.

Durham had best not dwell on dropping him on 13 or the other three catches that have gone down today.

  5. Close of play at Tauntonpublished at 18:16 BST 19 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 92-2

Sam Hain plays out Jack Leach's final over of the day for a maiden.

Dan Mousley takes a single from Craig Overton's last over of day one and that ends a day that has been firmly Warwickshire’s.

Having bowled out the hosts for 208 in two sessions, the Bears looked in early trouble as Jake Ball and Craig Overton removed both openers cheaply.

But Sam Hain (37*) and Dan Mousley (37) have batted sensibly, dare I say in traditional red-ball fashion, to compile an unbroken 78-run partnership for the third wicket.

It leaves them within 116 runs of the Somerset first innings total with plenty of batting to come tomorrow.

  6. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:15 BST 19 June

    Montgomery lbw b Balderson 86 (Derbyshire 162-4 v Lancashire)

Some light relief for Lancashire towards the end of a difficult day.

That is very perpendicular from George Balderson and Matthew Montgomery has nowhere to go as it thumps into his pads.

But a fine innings has put Derbyshire ahead - and in control of this game.

  7. Derbys leadpublished at 18:14 BST 19 June

    Derbyshire 162-3 v Lancashire 161

Wayne Madsen cuts one to the point boundary and he runs through for one.

The single nudges Derbyshire ahead and with seven wickets in hand, they are in an incredibly strong position.

  8. Close of play at Chelmsfordpublished at 18:13 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 111-2

Notts skipper Haseeb Hameed acknowledges his 50 by raising his batImage source, Shutterstock

A day for the Championship leaders Essex to forget against the defending champions Nottinghamshire.

Essex won the toss but failed to make the most of favourable batting conditions as Liam Patterson-White, with career-best figures of 6-43 spun out the home side.

Haseeb Hameed (68*) then helped to guide Notts to a strong position by the close at 111-2.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:13 BST 19 June

    Benjamin c Cracknell b Morgan 70 (Kent 305-6 v Middlesex)

Well, Middlesex will be very relieved to end this sixth-wicket partnership.

It had reached 64 but Seb Morgan gets a nick from Chris Benjamin and after a bit of a conflab between the umpires, the Kent man is on his way for a fine 70.

  10. Postpublished at 18:12 BST 19 June

    Leics 135-3 v Yorks 185

Nick Kelly hammers Dan Moriarty back down the ground to get off the mark with a boundary. It brings the deficit down to exactly 50.

There's nine overs left so the Yorkshire total is likely to be well within reach by stumps.

  11. First batting point for Glospublished at 18:10 BST 19 June

    Worcs v Glos 251-7

Who else but Miles Hammond steers one down towards third man off Fateh Singh and he and Daz Ahmed run three.

It takes the total over 250 and put one point into Gloucestershire's basket.

  12. Postpublished at 18:09 BST 19 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 91-2

Jack Leach finally gets some turn, and it's sharp turn, as he beats Sam Hain's defensive prod.

Craig Overton returns for a final burst of the day and gives Hain something to think about as they play for stumps.

Hands are put to Somerset heads and cries of anguish as Hain is saved by an inside edge on to his pads.

    Two overs to go.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:08 BST 19 June

    Sales b Raine 13 (Durham v Northants 340-5)

Ben Raine gets through the defences of James Sales.

All five wickets have fallen in this final session.

  14. 50 runs

    50 partnershippublished at 18:05 BST 19 June

    Kent 292-5 v Middlesex

Good stuff from the Kent lower-middle order as there is a half-century stand between Chris Benjamin and Grant Stewart.

It's come off 64 balls and is dangerous for Middlesex because both these batters can be quick-scoring and powerful.

There are 11 overs left in the day and they could push the Kent total close to 350 if they keep it going tonight.

  15. 50 runs

    50 partnershippublished at 18:02 BST 19 June

    Essex 184 v Notts 105-2

More runs and Haseeb Hameed and Joe Clarke bump gloves as the 50 partnership is clocked up.

Essex look a little hot and bothered.

  16. new ball

New ballpublished at 18:02 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 332-4

    Durham clock up 80 overs.

    The new ball is taken.

  17. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:01 BST 19 June

    Hill b Moriarty 10 (Leics 125-3 v Yorks 185)

Yorkshire are fighting back as Dan Moriarty picks up a second wicket.

Lewis Hill will not look back on that fondly as he is bowled off his pads by a ball going down leg.

Nick Kelly joins Rehan Ahmed who has become a little becalmed.

  18. Postpublished at 17:59 BST 19 June

    Somerset 208 v Warks 85-2

A single apiece for Sam Hain and Dan Mousley as they negotiate Jack Leach's latest over.

We have just five overs left in the day at Taunton and Somerset would dearly love to break this partnership before stumps.

But Josh Shaw overpitches and Mousley punches it back past the bowler's outstretched left hand for four more. The partnership goes to 71.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:57 BST 19 June

    Clarke c Roderick b Swanepoel 0 (Worcs v Glos 240-7)

Worcestershire go bang, bang and it's wickets in successive overs!

Beyers Swanepoel induces a nothing sort of shot from new batter Kristian Clarke, feeling for it outside off and the New Zealander nicks off for a two-ball duck.

The Pears may feel that tips day one towards them.

  20. 150 runs

150 for Ricardo Vasconcelospublished at 17:56 BST 19 June

    Durham v Northants 319-4

Ricardo Vasconcelos is showing no sign of relenting and goes to 150 not out.

His highest first-class score is 185 not out by the way.
