  1. 50 runs

50 for Rishi Patelpublished at 15:45 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 166-1

    Well deserved.

Rishi Patel has been assured and his wicket has never really looked in doubt so far.

He goes onto 50 from 109 balls. Building a fine platform for Leicestershire.

  2. Postpublished at 15:45 BST 11 April

    Notts 279 & 173-2 v Glamorgan 113

You can't serve these up and not expect them to get the treatment...

A juicy full toss on leg stump from Mason Crane for Ben Slater and he obliges, smashing it through mid-wicket for four.

The easiest boundary he'll ever hit.

  3. Postpublished at 15:44 BST 11 April

    Yorks 177 v Hants 251 & 2-0

Jhye Richardson is absent due to "sickness" according to Yorkshire and has, as noted earlier, been replaced by Logan van Beek in this game.

He will not be ruled out of any other match under the eight-day rule given Yorkshire have no fixture until 24 April when they face Sussex.

    Notts 279 & 166-2 v Glamorgan 113

Have to admit my earlier comment about the follow on when Notts lost two early was premature. This pair have really turned the screw.

    Tom, Nottingham

Fair play, Tom. Nice to eat a bit of humble pie when you're proven wrong in the best way possible from a Notts perspective!

  5. NORTHANTS DECLARE ON 684-2published at 15:43 BST 11 April

    Kent v Northants 684-2 dec

That six to bring up Nathan McSweeney's hundred is the final shot of this Northants innings as captain Luke Procter is on hand to usher them in.

McSweeney ends unbeaten on 101, Procter has a career-best 261.

Yesterday Ricardo Vasconcelos scored 127 and earlier today Calvin Harrison made his best score of 153.

Northants history right there for you.

What have Kent got in reply?

  6. Postpublished at 15:42 BST 11 April

    Notts 279 & 166-2 v Glamorgan 113

Joe Clarke is within seven of a ton for Notts now. Ben Slater is unbeaten on 63 at the other end and this partnership of 158 has really patched this innings back up nicely for the defending champions.

    Well on top now.

    Yorks 177 v Hants 251 & 1-0

Yorkshire and Hants in action at a sunny HeadingleyImage source, Henry Kay

Hampshire looked flat through the first session as Yorkshire clawed their way back in. What a difference the rain breaks have made as they lost the momentum and Abbott ripped things back into Hants’ favour! Really tight work post lunch from the southerners in the bitter Headingley wind.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:38 BST 11 April

    Elgar c Abell b Leach 7 (Essex 149 & 29-1 v Somerset 348)

What a catch from Tom Abell, flinging himself forward from close midwicket to straight midwicket as Dean Elgar gets in a funny position leading edging it between Abell and Will Smeed at mid-on.

Even with so many layers on, Abell manages to get there and not let the ball bounce off the ground, catch of the match so far that.

    Jack Leach with the wicket.

  9. 100 runs

100 for Nathan McSweeneypublished at 15:37 BST 11 April

    Kent v Northants 684-2

A piece of Northants history is brought up by Nathan McSweeney.

He swings a delivery from Jayden Denly over the legside for six and that is enough to take him past 100 in only 85 balls.

Four batters used by Northants and all four of them have scored a century. It is the first time in the club's history that the top four have scored tons in the same innings.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:35 BST 11 April

    Weatherald c Foakes b Topley 96 (Surrey 520 v Leics 156-1)

    At long last for Surrey!

Jake Weatherald crashes Reece Topley for four but the very next ball he's gone, just four shy of his century.

It's a lovely delivery from Topley as it arcs in towards the Australian opener and then seams away, catching the outside edge on the way through to Ben Foakes.

  11. Early spin at Chelmsford in the third inningspublished at 15:33 BST 11 April

    Essex 149 & 28-0 v Somerset 348

Jack Leach will bowl the ninth over of the third dig as the wind still wooshes across Chelmsford.

Paul Walter is 21* off 16 balls, will he try and take the spin down?

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:33 BST 11 April

    Lategan b Higgins 65 (Middlesex 183 v Worcestershire 191 & 112-1)

Dan Lategan's fine third innings knock from only 62 balls is ended by a beauty from Ryan Higgins.

Coming over the wicket to the left-hander, Higgins gets Lategan thinking it may go across him and finds a gap between bat and pad to crash into off-stump.

Middlesex need a couple more wickets to drag themselves back into this.

  13. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:32 BST 11 April

    Davies c & b Hudson-Prentice 7 (Sussex 204 v Warwickshire 267 & 11-1)

Great reaction catch in his follow through from Fynn Hudson-Prentice.

The former Derbyshire all-rounder holds on well to one struck hard back at him by Alex Davies.

The partnership 11, the same number the first wicket fell on in the first innings.

Only 10 in the match for the former Lancashire skipper.

  14. 150 runs

150 up for Leicestershirepublished at 15:31 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 150-0

Some opening partnership this has been by Rishi Patel and Jake Weatherald.

  15. Play resumes at Bristolpublished at 15:30 BST 11 April

    Glos 10-1 v Durham 605-5 dec

Sunshine has emerged in Bristol and the players are back on.

Durham fielders have the enthusiasm of a side with a lead of 595, Gloucestershire batters have a lot of work to do today, tomorrow and probably Monday, as well.

  16. 150 runs

150 up for Nottspublished at 15:29 BST 11 April

    Notts 279 & 151-2 v Glamorgan 113

    It's getting away from Glamorgan.

Joe Clarke hits Asa Tribe over his head for a one-bounce four.

And then the steward is down on his hands and knees to recover the ball from under a cover.

    Thank you, that man.

  17. 250 runs

250 for Luke Procterpublished at 15:27 BST 11 April

    Kent v Northants 663-2

The milestones keep on coming as Luke Procter drills young Jayden Denly for a one-bounce four over midwicket.

That is his 250 as this career-best knock and mammoth Northants score continue to roll on.

How many more does Procter fancy? 300 maybe?

  18. 'Composed third-wicket partnership'published at 15:27 BST 11 April

After a chaotic morning session in which eight wickets fell for only 57 runs, normality has broken out at Trent Bridge.

In increasingly gusty conditions Ben Slater and Joe Clarke, who each registered fifties last week, have struck back for the batters with a composed third-wicket partnership.

  19. Postpublished at 15:26 BST 11 April

    Notts 279 & 142-2 v Glamorgan 113

    When it's going for you...

Joe Clarke inside edges off Mason Crane and it narrowly misses the stumps before running down to fine leg for four.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:25 BST 11 April

    Came b Anderson 83 (Lancs 351 v Derbys 152-3)

Harry Came... but now he's gone.

The Derbys opener has batted well albeit using a couple of lives when dropped off Paul Coughlin on 16 and 54, but his excellent knock is over.

Jimmy Anderson races one through with a hint of seam movement in, getting an inside edge and ricocheting on to his off stump.
