Nottinghamshire are firmly in the ascendancy at the halfway stage in this match.

They rattled through Glamorgan this morning, reducing the visitors from 81-4 overnight to 113 all out.

And despite losing Haseeb Hameed and England international Ben Duckett early doors, it has been an improved display with the bat for the defending champions.

Ben Slater made 70 but the headlines will go to Joe Clarke who made a century before going for 136.

They lead by 450 runs with one wicket left. They'll get a couple of days to try and bowl out Glamorgan and pick up their first win of the season.

    Notts 279 & 284-9 v Glamorgan 113

All very valuable runs for Notts as Fergus O'Neill gently flicks it down to fine leg off Mason Crane and it runs away for four.

He repeats the trick a few balls later but just a single this time.

Dillon Pennington then nudges another one into the leg-side.

    The lead is past 450.

    Muyeye c Sales b Sanderson 48 (Kent 105-4 v Northants 684-2 dec)

Tawanda Muyeye had looked certain for a half-century after batting really nicely in a 50-run partnership with captain Daniel Bell-Drummond, but alas.

Ben Sanderson gets one to bounce a tad more and Muyeye can only divert it into the hands of backward point and Northants are cock-a-hoop.

The wily Sanderson, now in his 10th over, has 2-25.

  4. Postpublished at 18:26 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 340-3

    No stopping Rishi Patel today.

He pulls it around the corner for four off Jordan Clark for back-to-back boundaries and he's now on 128.

  5. 100 runs

100 for Essex in their second inningspublished at 18:26 BST 11 April

    Essex 149 & 103-3 v Somerset 348

A glorious way to get there as Tall Paul Walter drives Miggy Pretorius just past the stumps through mid on for four.

A checked drive, did not need much of a back swing such is his power.

  6. 50 runs

50 for Guestpublished at 18:24 BST 11 April

    Lancs 351 v Derbys 221-3

Brooke Guest sends a Harry Singh delivery scorching to the cover boundary with an extended flat batted swish.

That is a decent half-century from the Derbys wicketkeeper, taking 111 balls and containing six fours.

It's a popular time of day to be taking wickets in the County Championship it seems!

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:22 BST 11 April

    Price c Robinson b Roach 34 (Glos 109-7 v Durham 605-5 dec)

    Oh dear, part two!

A very similar type of dismissal for Ollie Price as Graeme van Buuren before him as he feels inclined to go for a big drive, almost down on one knee.

Kemar Roach runs off as the plan works for another catch behind, this time to the wicketkeeper and Durham fancy cleaning us this first innings tonight.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:21 BST 11 April

    Tongue lbw b Crane 0 (Notts 279 & 273-9 v Glamorgan 113)

The wickets are tumbling now, much to the relief of the Glamorgan players in the field!

Tailender Josh Tongue is trapped in front by Mason Crane for a duck.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:21 BST 11 April

    Weatherley lbw b Van Beek 11 (Yorks 177 v Hants 251 & 46-1)

Angled in from Logan van Beek and hits Joe Weatherley just under the knee roll.

No argument from Weatherley who walks head down without trying to engage anyone in any sort of eye contact.

  11. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:16 BST 11 April

    Hutton c Ingram b Carlson 3 (Notts 279 & 272-8 v Glamorgan 113)

Kiran Carlson has brought himself on for a bowl and it's worked wonders!

He gets Brett Hutton to slash at one outside off but the spin gets the better of him and he can only edge it to Colin Ingram at slip.

    Hutton goes for just three.

  12. Postpublished at 18:13 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 323-3

Rishi Patel launches himself at one outside off stump from Matt Fisher and it's another four for the Leicestershire opener.

    He goes onto 118.

  13. Postpublished at 18:11 BST 11 April

    Middx 183 v Worcs 191 & 195-5

Toby Roland-Jones appeals half-heartedly for a caught behind from the bat of Gareth Roderick but the ball has clipped thigh pad not bat.

Still, noise levels on the field have increased significantly with those two wickets.

The encouraging clapping between deliveries and shouts of 'c'mon boys' a clear sign Middx feel they are right back in this.

  14. Resumption at Chelmsfordpublished at 18:11 BST 11 April

    Essex 149 & 94-3 v Somerset 348

The hail has halted in Essex as Jamie Overton is bowling for Chennai Super Kings in the IPL, twin Craig is captaining his boyhood club in a match he will probably be man of the match in bar any shocks from anyone in the last two innings.

They both celebrated their birthday yesterday of course, Craig will bowl one more delivery to complete his eighth over of this innings.

8.1 overs the maximum that will be bowled tonight.

  15. 50 runs

50 for Lewis Hillpublished at 18:10 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 319-3

Lewis Hill plays a cover drive for Leics against SurreyImage source, Shutterstock

Lewis Hill was dropped on just eight at 17:42 BST by Ollie Pope in the slips off Matt Fisher's bowling.

And 27 minutes later he brings up his half-century with a well-timed cover drive off Tom Lawes.

It's only taken Hill 48 balls as well. That will sting for Surrey.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:07 BST 11 April

    van Buuren c Aldridge b Roach 10 (Glos 100-6 v Durham 605-5 dec)

Oh dear (if you're a Glosters fan)!

Kemar Roach floats up one wide, almost off the popping crease, but Graeme van Buuren flashes and it flies high into the bucket hands of Kasey Aldridge at second slip.

A second wicket for the West Indies quick and Durham are absolutely dominating every aspect of this match.

  17. 50 runs

50 for Rob Yatespublished at 18:06 BST 11 April

    Sussex 204 v Warwickshire 267 & 114-5

Left-handed Rob Yates holding his bat high in the airImage source, Shutterstock

It took Rob Yates nearly 45 deliveries to get into double figures, he has accelerated since then, having close fielders like the current short leg, providing more gaps for him to score runs in of late.

99 deliveries it took him as the run rate for the team innings is now 3.23.

He drags James Coles into the deep for a single to become the third batter of the match to reach 50, all Bears men so far.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:06 BST 11 April

    Patterson-White c Ingram b Crane 14 (Notts 279 & 267-7 v Glamorgan 113)

    Another for Glamorgan!

Liam Patterson-White tries to back away from Mason Crane to make room for the square cut but it turns back in on him sharply and he can only loop it up to first slip off the top edge.

Colin Ingram says thank you very much and gobbles up the dolly.

  19. Postpublished at 18:05 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 314-3

Lewis Hill is now just five shy of his 50 thanks to yet more poor fielding by Surrey.

A misfield on the boundary allows the square cut off Matt Fisher to go for four.

  20. Postpublished at 18:04 BST 11 April

    Notts 279 & 267-6 v Glamorgan 113

Make that lead 433 as Liam Patterson-White gets Mason Crane away for four through the off-side.
