    Notts 279 & 263-6 v Glamorgan 113

Will Notts fancy declaring and getting a few twilight overs in at Glamorgan at the end of this evening session?

They already lead by 429 runs.

  2. wicket

WICKETpublished at 18:03 BST 11 April

    Kashif Ali c Cracknell b Sharma 34 (Middx 183 v Worcs 191 & 195-5)

Naavya Sharma takes his second wicket and Middx are on a mini-roll.

Two in two overs for the hosts as Kashif Ali gets a feather edge and the nick goes through to Joe Cracknell behind the stumps.

Middx remain behind but the gap is closing.

    Kent 82-3 v Northants 684-2 dec

Adam at 16:00 made a great point about the far too liberal use of substitutes to date in the county championship which I gave a thumbs up. That said, any chance Kent can make half a dozen changes before day 3 please?

  4. 6 runs

Six for O'Neillpublished at 17:59 BST 11 April

    Notts 279 & 261-6 v Glamorgan 113

Fergus O'Neill goes big through the leg-side from Mason Crane and it just about has enough to make it over the shorter boundary for six.

The next ball, O'Neill tries to repeat the trick but misses and it strikes the pad.

Crane appeals but the umpire says no.

  5. Postpublished at 17:58 BST 11 April

    Notts 279 & 254-6 v Glamorgan 113

Ouch. Rough one for Mason Crane.

Fergus O'Neill hits it back down the ground and it strikes Crane as he makes the stop with his foot to save a boundary.

Crane hits the deck in some pain but he's back up again now.

  6. 300 runs

300 up for Leicestershirepublished at 17:56 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 300-3

It's a bit lucky for Lewis Hill, who is certainly using every one of his nine lives.

The delivery from Matt Fisher gets up on him but he gets bat on ball and it loops agonisingly over point and away for four.

Hill moves onto 33 and Leicestershire reach 300.

  7. 250 runs

250 up for Nottspublished at 17:55 BST 11 April

    Notts 279 & 250-6 v Glamorgan 113

Notts get to the 250 mark and are close to surpassing the total they managed in their first innings.

  8. Postpublished at 17:55 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 296-3

Lewis Hill is really punishing Surrey for that dropped catch by Ollie Pope a little while ago.

He crashes another well-timed drive through the covers for four, this time off Matt Fisher, who was the man who almost had Hill but for the downed catch.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:54 BST 11 April

    Barnard c Robinson b Coles 41 (Sussex 204 v Warwickshire 267 & 106-5)

Another awful shot from a batter at Hove.

Ed Barnard was not one I thought would give it away and he is livid.

He came down the wicket and drills James Coles' second ball of the innings straight to Ollie Robinson at mid on, even with a sore hand he catches his opposite number.

First innings hero Kai Smith back in at seven for the Bears.

  10. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:54 BST 11 April

    D'Oliveira b Roland-Jones 3 (Middx 183 v Worcs 191 & 193-4)

Just a shade of seam away from the right hander and Toby Roland-Jones clips the outside edge of the top of off stump.

Brett D'Oliveira posted 75 in the first innings but he has been stopped early in the second.

The lead is over 200 and still significant in terms of the context of a low-scoring game but that is a step in the right direction for Middx.

    Kent 62-3 v Northants 684-2 dec

Nice to see Crawley batting around his average

    Steve, London

Steve is referencing Zak Crawley's Test average, which stands at 31.18 after 64 Tests. His first-class average is 31.84.

  12. Covers being removed at Chelmsfordpublished at 17:52 BST 11 April

    Essex 149 & 94-3 v Somerset 348

If no further rain, play will resume at 18:10 BST with 8.1 overs remaining.

Great work from the Essex groundstaff and proactive umpiring to keep this game moving whilst the sun now shines in the south east of England.

  13. Postpublished at 17:52 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 291-3

Another couple of fours for Lewis Hill as he cuts Tom Lawes through point and then gets onto the front foot to drive through extra cover to move onto 24.

  14. 100 runs

100 for Warwickshirepublished at 17:48 BST 11 April

    Sussex 204 v Warwickshire 267 & 102-4

A two then a leg bye off Ollie Robinson tick Warwickshire past 100 in their second innings.

Jack Carson went for four off his first over, into his second over now.

Former Birmingham University student Rob Yates providing the rock here, 40*.

Still 16 overs to bowl in nice sunny conditions this April evening in Hove.

  15. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:47 BST 11 April

    Bracey c Robinson b Raine 14 (Glos 90-5 v Durham 605-5 dec)

Three for Ben Raine and Durham have collected half of the first innings wickets!

Coming round the wicket, he gets James Bracey fishing at one outside his off-stump and that is regulation stuff for Ollie Robinson with the gloves.

Raine has 3-27 with Gloucestershire trailing by 515.

  16. wicket

WICKETpublished at 17:47 BST 11 April

    Verreynne b Gorvin 5 (Notts 279 & 245-6 v Glamorgan 113)

A couple of wickets in quick succession for Glamorgan.

Kyle Verreynne slashes at one outside off from Andy Gorvin and looks on with confusion as the visiting fielders go up to celebrate.

He eventually turns back and realises he's dragged on and has to make the long walk back for just five from 12 balls.

  17. Back on at Old Traffordpublished at 17:46 BST 11 April

    Lancs 351 v Derbys 187-3

There are 14 overs planned for the evening session and, as things stand, the sun looks to have taken a grip of the early evening weather in Manchester.

Derbys resume in a fairly solid position but a wicket or two could quickly reduce that to wobbling.

Mitch Stanley has the ball in hand and sends his first loosener down at Brooke Guest at 82mph.

  18. Postpublished at 17:45 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 277-3

Ollie Pope might feel a bit more guilty for dropping Lewis Hill now... He smashes Tom Lawes away for four through mid-wicket to move onto 12.

  19. Postpublished at 17:44 BST 11 April

    Notts 279 & 243-5 v Glamorgan 113

Liam Patterson-White chops down on one outside off from Mason Crane and it goes away for four through the covers.

A first boundary for Patterson-White to settle any nerves.

  20. dropped catch

Dropped catchpublished at 17:42 BST 11 April

    Surrey 520 v Leics 268-3

    Matt Fisher is not happy.

Lovely ball outside off peg to Lewis Hill and he finds the outside edge.

It flies to Ollie Pope in the slips but he can't hold on.

A second dropped catch in the slip cordon today for Surrey after Rory Burns put down Ian Holland earlier.
