That, Joseph, is sensational. A couple of slices of toast - or a pop tart - to celebrate a win. Why not?

Feel like we could see something similar to this in the franchise world of cricket very soon, but the College American Football - Pop-Tarts Bowl trophy which has an inbuilt working toaster in is ridiculous.

Good running helps England take four from the over as left-arm spinner Dunith Wellalage returns.

Drinks come on with Joe Root going along nicely on 26 from 32 balls, while Jacob Bethell is digging in and has 15 from 28.

I'm pretty sure the subject was best sports trophies, Euan, but everyone has taken it down the weird trophies route - and I'm all for it!

Just two from Jeffrey Vandersay's over.

On the subject of weird sports trophies, look no further than "The Cobble" for the Paris-Roubaix cycling race. Might have to reinforce the mantelpiece to accommodate the massive slab of granite!

Belgium's Greg Van Avermaet kisses his trophy as he celebrates on the podium after winning the 115th edition of the Paris-Roubaix one-day classic cycling race, between Compiegne and Roubaix, on April 9, 2017 in Roubaix, northern France.Image source, Getty Images
  6. Eng 67-2published at 17 overs

Tighter over from Wanindu Hasaranga with just two from it.

No doubt that scoring quickly off the spinners, as has been the case throughout this series, will not be easy.

Patience is required and Joe Root and Jacob Bethell have shown that so far.

  7. Eng 65-2published at 16 overs

Just the three singles from Jeffrey Vandersay's over.

For the second time in the past couple of overs, Joe Root gets the sweep out. He plays the shot so well but these are not his most elegant sweeps, more just dragging the ball into the gap on the leg side.

Graham (09:55) mentioned England players not being particularly good at hitting the gaps. That is most certainly not the case with Root.

England always entertain. Just wish they would stop entertaining and start winning more matches. Also Sri Lanka looks gorgeous.

    Another over, five more singles.

England are ticking over nicely at the moment. Playing with limited risk while keeping the scoreboard moving.

It may not make Harry Brook happy but, in these conditions, Bethell has chance to learn so much - and with Root on hand as well.

Five from the over with Joe Root and Jacob Bethell happy to milk singles from the Jeffrey Vandersay over.

Both batters show good patience to wait for the ball on this increasingly slow surface and play it as late as possible.

Once again, England cricketers do not appear to have practiced hitting between fielders. They either hit on ground directly to a fielder or hit up in the air directly to a fielder. Catching practice as usual for the opposition.

Spinner number four, come on down...

More leggies now as Jeffrey Vandersay enters the attack.

The classic. That Moose trophy is hard to beat.

Meanwhile, Jacob Bethell is relieved to see the ball bounce just short of Wanindu Hasaranga after nearly gifting the leg-spinner a cheap wicket by hitting a full toss straight back to him.

Best trophy has to be the Moose cricket trophy from about five years ago - truly magnificent and can double as a hat stand.

    Tony, Leeds

Sri Lanka have pedigree when it comes to cricketing trophies. I fondly remember Joe Root lifting the Moose Cup a few years ago.

    Super shot from Jacob Bethell.

Like Joe Root in Wanindu Hasaranga's last over, he gets low and reverse-sweeps fine and for four.

That brings up the 50 for England.

When things come in threes, England will hope that also includes a third straight commanding knock from Root.

A pair of singles from Dunith Wellalage's latest. It's been a good start from the left-arm spinner, he's gone for just six from his first three overs.

Root is England’s best timer of the ball and best gap finder. Is there not an argument that he should be opening? He has done it successfully in T20 competitions and, frankly, is in early enough each innings as it is.
