  2. 'Trust the process'published at 13:29 GMT 1 February

England captain Harry Brook: "We're going to have a bowl again tonight. We played beautifully. adapted to conditions beautifully. Sri Lanka got off to a beautiful start but we caught up."

"We've been talking about trying to play the conditions and the opposition as much as possible and going into this game with this team is the right decision. We've got to trust the process and stick to our guns."

  3. 'Need to get that rhythm'published at 13:28 GMT 1 February

Sri Lanka skipper Dasun Shanaka: "Happy to bat first given it's a used wicket and the ball will come on nicely. It's about setting a target and we need clarity when we play these sort of wickets.

"England's spinners Adil Rashid and Liam Dawson vary the pace well so more often we need to use the crease well and that's the mindset we need.

"Hopefully the batters will do well. We know the conditions but it's about getting that rhythm. Hopefully we'll find that in this game."

The T20 World Cup starts in just under a week's time.

England are fine turning their preparations with white-ball skipper Harry Brook under further scrutiny amid more post-Ashes revelations.

Is that the end of the fallout? Who knows. However, hopefully we'll be focused on matters on the field rather than off it today.

Welcome to live coverage of the second T20 international from Pallekele.
