  1. Tea at Edgbastonpublished at 15:52 BST 16 May

    Warwickshire 105-4 v Glamorgan 360

That is tea at Edgbaston, where Glamorgan have made substantial progress this afternoon in pegging Warwickshire back having posted 360 themselves in the first innings.

Bears batters Alex Davies and Dan Mousley have made starts but failed to go on, while Glamorgan were noticeably delighted to remove Sam Hain before the interval.

The hover cover is on the pitch during the break, with a LOT of rain supposedly in the region. Whether we return to action on time remains to be seen.

  2. Postpublished at 15:50 BST 16 May

    Essex 224-8 v Leics 333

    Ajaz PatelImage source, Shutterstock

Ajaz Patel starts a new over and a really poor delivery from the spinner is pulled for four by Wiaan Mulder. He is 40 not out and looking very assured, in contrast to some of his team-mates.

  3. Postpublished at 15:47 BST 16 May

    Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 5-0

    Threatening start by Jhye Richardson.

In his first over, he gets Rory Burns to edge one which drops just short of the slip cordon.

Burns then drives the following delivery for three as the boundary is well prevented by the covering fielder.

  4. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:47 BST 16 May

    Clark c Benjamin b Dudgeon 5 (Kent 523 v Durham 88-4)

Poor shot by Graham Clark, who tries to cut a ball from James Dudgeon, gets an under edge and Chris Benjamin takes a sprawling catch behind the stumps.

Ollie Robinson comes out to bat against his former club - still no sign of Ben Stokes. Maybe the England skipper is still feeling off colour.

  5. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:46 BST 16 May

    Clarke c Brown b Abbott 14 (Notts 109-3 v Hampshire 214)

    Big, big wicket for Hampshire.

Kyle Abbott, back into the attack, has been superb with the ball and continues to cause all sorts of problems for Notts' top order.

He bowls to Joe Clarke, who looks to cut but nicks off and Ben Brown takes a smart catch up by his left shoulder.

Brown's keeping counterpart Kyle Verreynne joins Jack Haynes in the middle.

Though 109-3, it is five and six at the crease for Notts having lost Freddie McCann to injury earlier.

  6. 350 up for Derbyshirepublished at 15:44 BST 16 May

    Middx 177 v Derbys 350-7

Wayne Madsen works a single into the leg side to move onto 108 not out as Derbyshire reach 350 and gain their third batting point in the process.

  7. 100 runs

100 for Warwickshirepublished at 15:44 BST 16 May

    Warwickshire 104-4 v Glamorgan 360

Warwickshire bring up three figures with two new batters at the crease and Glamorgan sensing an opportunity.

Ed Barnard has just slapped Tom Norton through the covers for four - well hit, that. It had to be, as it is comfortably the longest boundary.

  8. Surrey commence inningspublished at 15:42 BST 16 May

    Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 0-0

Just less than two hours after we were set to see Surrey bat, the Brown Caps do eventually commence their innings with Rory Burns and Dom Sibley walking out as the openers.

  9. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:39 BST 16 May

Hain lbw van der Gugten 12 (Warwickshire 95-4 v Glamorgan 360)

    Sam Hain departs!

He survives a couple of appeals during Timm van der Gugten's over, but this one is especially loud and the umpire obliges.

Hain takes a step forward but no shot is offered and is deemed to have been trapped in front.

Captain Ed Barnard comes to the middle to join Beau Webster with the Bears in need of a partnership, still well behind Glamorgan's first innings total.

  10. get involved

Get Involvedpublished at 15:38 BST 16 May

It does seem that the trend has moved towards sides having strength in depth with their batting rather than looking to knock sides over. More draws and what does it do for England's prospect of finding the next Anderson or Broad?

  11. McCann retires hurtpublished at 15:36 BST 16 May

    Notts 105-2 v Hampshire 214

Freddie McCann was struck on the hand while batting earlier, and received treatment at the time, but he remains in too much discomfort and has been forced to retire hurt on 38 not out.

Jack Haynes comes out to join Joe Clarke in the middle for Notts.

  12. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:34 BST 16 May

    Rhodes c Dudgeon b Singh 19 (Kent 523 v Durham 65-3)

Ekansh Singh strikes again as Will Rhodes is taken in the gully.

In truth, it wasn't a great shot - and Durham are 'having a wobble' as Graham Clark comes out to bat.

  13. Play to resume at Headingley at 15:40published at 15:33 BST 16 May

    Yorkshire 486 v Surrey 0-0

Some good news to tell you about from Leeds.

The rain has now passed, for the time being at least, and if there are no further showers, we are set to restart at 15:40.

There are still 43 overs left in the day.

  14. Early tea at Bristolpublished at 15:33 BST 16 May

    Gloucs 154 v Northants 85-4

The interval officially began at 1530 BST.

Weather permitting, this match resumes at 1550 BST.

  15. Pitch inspection planned for 1600 BST at Tauntonpublished at 15:31 BST 16 May

    Somerset 394-5 v Sussex

The tea interval will take place 20 minutes beforehand - at 1540 BST.

It remains gloomy and damp here, but the rain has relented for the time being.

  16. 100 runs

100 for Nottspublished at 15:31 BST 16 May

    Notts 105-2 v Hampshire 214

Nottinghamshire reach three figures with a straight drive by Freddie McCann, back past bowler Delano Potgieter for a boundary.

Notts then enjoy a bit of fortune - two balls later, non-striker Joe Clarke is halfway up the other end for a single Freddie McCann does not want and Nick Gubbins at extra cover shies at the stumps.

He misses and Notts benefit from four overthrows.

  17. Postpublished at 15:31 BST 16 May

    Essex 214-8 v Leics 333

Too straight from Josh Hull, now bowling round the wicket, and Simon Harmer flicks it down to long leg and past the diving fielder for the first boundary of his innings.

Partner - and fellow South African - Wiaan Mulder is 31 not out.

  18. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:26 BST 16 May

    Andersson b Higgins 0 (Middx v Derbys 341-7)

Ryan Higgins gets one to come back up the slope through the defence of Martin Andersson for his fourth wicket of the innings. Middle and off stump gone.

Andersson goes for a duck and Middlesex get two much-needed wickets in as many overs.

In dismissing Andersson, Higgins looks to have broken the stump so that will briefly need a bit of DIY.

  19. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:25 BST 16 May

    Pepper lbw Patel 19 (Essex 207-8 v Leics 333)

Michael Pepper doesn't look thrilled by that decision.

He steps out of his crease and tries to flick spinner Ajaz Patel over the leg-side but makes no contact and is adjudged lbw.

  20. wicket

WICKETpublished at 15:24 BST 16 May

    Mousley b Norton 30 (Warwickshire 93-3 v Glamorgan 360)

The picture changes again at Edgbaston.

Young Tom Norton, who made headlines with his bowling last week, has delivered the latest blow to Warwickshire's top order by removing the set Dan Mousley.

Fresh from sweeping a full toss from Ben Kellaway for four, Mousley - the very next over - leaves a delivery which holds its line and is clean bowled. That is a pity, as he looked good for a decent score.

The pendulum of momentum swings back towards Glammy again.
