  1. 200 runs

200 up for Hampshirepublished at 12:11 BST 16 May

    Hants 202-9 v Notts

Liam Patterson-White is into the attack for Notts, and he has been dabbed for singles by both Sonny Baker and Brad Wheal in this over - that has seen Hampshire pass 200.

Considering Hants were 85-5 having lost Nick Gubbins yesterday, it has been an admirable effort, led by Felix Organ, to drag themselves up past this milestone.

    Somerset 350-5 v Sussex

This may be another mini session. The nearby Quantocks are barely visible in the gloom as Tom Abell and Craig Overton return to the middle.

Tom Clark has four bowls left to complete his over.

Tom Abell on strike - and he's 81 not out.

Get Involvedpublished at 12:10 BST 16 May

What a tremendous example OHD is. Start of the season he was deemed surplus to requirements and went out on loan. With Woakes and Barker injured he was recalled. Back he came to take wickets. No speeches he just gets on with it like the true pro he is.

    Chris, Hampshire

Hannon-Dalby is one of those highly-skilled, but unsung county pros. He very much deserves your praise, Chris.

I am very worried about Essex. Yesterday the bowling was the worst for ages, today the batting is looking as bad. What is going on?

    Stuart, Woodbridge

Odd thing to say perhaps with 430+ on the board but it feels like Kent have thrown this away a bit? Certainly let Durham back in it...

    Middlesex 177 v Derbys 161-5

Eathan Bosch is leg side to Wayne Madsen, who helps the ball on its way down the slope for four.

He moves to 15 and is starting to move through the gears after a stodgy start.

Three more runs squirted past point, though that wasn't far from Ryan Higgins.

Four more runs tapped into the leg side as Bosch again loses his line.

11 off the over and Derbyshire trail by 16.

Any kind of lead will be handy on this slow, seaming surface.

  5. 450 up for Kentpublished at 12:05 BST 16 May

    Kent 450-7 v Durham

Oops. Keith Dudgeon plays too soon at a ball from Kasey Aldridge but it lobs over the head of the fielder at cover and Kent claim their fifth batting bonus point with five balls to spare.

Dudgeon seems to be enjoying himself out there, he carved Ben Stokes over backward point for four in the previous over and is 22 not out.

  6. 50 runs

    50 partnershippublished at 12:05 BST 16 May

    Yorkshire 429-6 v Surrey

A bit of housekeeping to inform you about - Jamie Smith is not wicket-keeping for Surrey in this morning's session.

Smith damaged his thumb late on yesterday and Josh Blake has taken the gloves today.

Blake is unable to prevent a loose delivery from Jordan Clark going down the leg side to the boundary for four byes.

Dom Bess then clips away very nicely off his pads to bring up the 50 partnership with George Hill.

  7. dropped catch

Aitchison dropped on 19published at 12:04 BST 16 May

    Middlesex 177 v Derbys 150-5

Ryan Higgins strays to leg and Wayne Madsen picks up four with a clip through mid wicket.

A slight delay as the bowler is in conference with his captain, Leus du Plooy.

Over bowled and Navyaa Sharma (among the England Lions squad v South Africa A later this month) will resume from the Nursery End...

Ben Aitchison drives... and is dropped at cover.

He takes a single and moves on 20.

Madsen gets a single off the last ball of the over and that takes Derbyshire to 150 in 50 overs.

  8. wicket

WICKETpublished at 11:59 BST 16 May

    Organ c Veyrrenne b Stone 55 (Hampshire 199-9 v Notts)

    Felix Organ's resistance is over.

He looks to play Olly Stone firmly into the off-side, but only succeeds in bottom-edging through to Kyle Veyrrenne behind. It is the first wicket of the innings for Stone.

  9. Postpublished at 11:59 BST 16 May

    Kent 439-7 v Durham

In case any of you were wondering about Ben Stokes' state of health after he felt unwell yesterday, he is out there in the field for Durham.

Keith Dudgeon drives Kasey Aldridge through mid-off for four to post a 50 partnership with Ekansh Singh - who is none the worse after his 'ding' on the helmet from Ben Raine - and now we will see Stokes with the ball for the first time this morning.

  10. Postpublished at 11:58 BST 16 May

    Yorkshire 416-6 v Surrey

Dan Worrall is back into the attack for Surrey and with the fourth ball of his 20th over he almost finds the outside edge of Dom Bess.

An airy-fairy waft from Bess who is lucky not to nick behind.

Two deliveries later, George Hill crunches a boundary just in front of square.

Hill has looked very assured since arriving at the crease approximately 40 minutes ago.

Glamorgan 360 v Warwickshire (yet to bat)

The innings break is likely to last more than a few minutes here, sadly.

In what are increasingly gloomy conditions, the floodlights are coming on - and so have the covers.

Those in attendance at Edgbaston have their brollies up.

  12. Five-wicket haulpublished at 11:56 BST 16 May

    Hadley b Hannon-Dalby 8 (Glamorgan 360 v Warwickshire)

A five-fer for Oliver Hannon-Dalby, who knocks over Aussie quick Ryan Hadley to collect his 14th five-wicket haul for Warwickshire - his first since 2024.

Glamorgan added 19 runs this morning before the conclusion of their innings.

  13. Postpublished at 11:55 BST 16 May

    Essex 43-4 v Leics 333

Following that wicket of Tom Westley, Ben Mike's next ball is short and wide outside off stump and Charlie Allison clatters it away for four.

    Weather permitting the above applies.

As it stands - seven overs lost.

Leicestershire celebrate the dismissal of Tom WestleyImage source, Shutterstock

    Oh dear.

Ben Mike fires a delivery way down leg-side and in trying to glance it away, Essex skipper Tom Westley only succeeds in giving a catch to Ben Cox, diving away to his left.

Great athleticism and anticipation by the Leicestershire keeper.

  16. Postpublished at 11:53 BST 16 May

    Middlesex 177 v Derbys 142-5

The pressure is on the hosts somewhat to get into the Derbyshire tail for first innings parity.

Derbyshire captain Wayne Madsen is there but struggling a little with just the one run in near enough 15 minutes of batting.

Navyaa Sharma draws Madsen forward into a play and miss.

He connects this time though and drives for three.

Ben Aitchison is hit on the pad but high up and missing leg.

Good over from Sharma. Derbyshire 35 behind.

  17. Postpublished at 11:50 BST 16 May

    Yorkshire 407-6 v Surrey

A delightfully controlled shot from Dom Bess on the hook goes to the leg side boundary for four.

The wickets of Jonny Bairstow and Adam Lyth this morning don't seem to have stopped Yorkshire's rhythm.

  18. 50 runs

50 for Felix Organpublished at 11:50 BST 16 May

    Hampshire 193-8 v Notts

There is Felix Organ's half-century, a vital knock in difficult conditions for Hampshire.

He injected a lease of life into their innings in the evening session yesterday with a flurry of boundaries and has been careful and controlled so far this morning.

Hants will hope that Organ and what is left of their tail can eke as many runs as possible out of Notts' attacking before the change of innings.

Thus far Brad Wheal (8*) has looked to score, too.

  19. Postpublished at 11:49 BST 16 May

    Essex 39-3 v Leics 333

    Jamie PorterImage source, Shutterstock

Jamie Porter throws the bat at a widish one from Ben Green - it's aerial but flashes past the gully fielder and away for four.

Nightwatchman Porter advances to 21 not out and Leicestershire call up Ben Mike for his first bowl of the innings.

  20. Postpublished at 11:48 BST 16 May

    Kent 437-7 v Durham

    Ouch.

Ben Raine strikes Ekansh Singh on the helmet and we'll have a break while the Kent physio is summoned.

Buoyed up by those three early wickets, Durham look like they 'mean it' this morning.
