We heard plenty from Marnus Labuschagne yesterday, mainly through the stump mic as he chirped away from slip.

Well, he has been speaking again before day three...

It is going to take a bit of a miracle, but Ben Stokes can do it. If Stokes bats the way we have seen him bat previously, then it is possible.

There still is hope and England have been a good chasing side. We might see something special.

It is going to be interesting to see how Ben Stokes comes out and plays. Yesterday he just had to hang in. The way we were losing all those wickets, he had to try and build a wall for that England middle order.

Ben Stokes is one of the best Bazballers there is. But it is going to be difficult against the bowling that we saw yesterday.

I'm listening from a cold bed in Hemel Hempstead. We need a Stokes ton. Archer ton and an Archer fifer. Then we chase!

I hope I’ll be up late tonight listening to England bat and not Australia!

Yes, day three of the third Ashes Test is almost upon us and England need a minor miracle if they are to avoid losing the series at the earliest possible opportunity.

The tourists batting woes continued yesterday and they find themselves eight down and still trailing by 158 runs to start the day.

But if you need a cricketing miracle, Ben Stokes is a good man to have on your side. The England skipper is still there after batting patiently and shared an unbroken 45 with Jofra Archer before stumps yesterday.

Can that pair keep going to maintain that faint glimmer of hope?
