A good bit of bowling from Mitchell Starc, which brings his first wicket of this innings.

Starc there with the wobble ball, and it nips back ever so slightly. Stokes cannot believe he has missed it.

The end of a superb, fighting innings from the England captain.

Excellent bowling from Mitchell Starc with the new ball.

Wobble-seam delivery that just nips back a fraction to beat Stokes' drive.

Stokes is furious with himself for letting it slip after playing so well, so patiently for so long.

Jofra Archer has shown good resilience and a bit of character out there as well.

He bowled well to get that fifer. With the bat in hand, he has stepped up when they needed him.

Ben Stokes shows more intent, skipping down the pitch to Mitchell Starc early in the over but hitting the ball straight to mid-off.

He pinches a quick single next ball and after Jofra Archer is beaten a couple of times by Starc, he digs one out for another brisk single.

That takes the deficit below 100 and moves him to 49.

After that loosener to start, it's a really good over from Pat Cummins.

But Ben Stokes gets through it and keeps himself on strike with a single from the last.

Time for drinks and England could not have asked for a better first hour today.

Great response from Pat Cummins but it's four more.

A brilliant ball from round the wicket that nips back at Ben Stokes, takes the inside edge and runs away to fine leg.

That brings up the 100 partnership for the ninth wicket. England are still fighting.

I think I love Jofra…. Not ashamed to admit that.

    Joe, happily married, in Worksop

I know we definitely shouldn't get too excited, which is why I'm predicting Jofra to make a double ton and take a ten-wicket haul. England win by an innings. Feel I must add the obligatory... "Watch them get out now."

Cheers as Jofra Archer solidly blocks the fifth ball of the over but he's beaten again to end Mitchell Starc's set.

He survives, though, and remains two away from a maiden Test fifty.

Pat Cummins will share the new ball with Ben Stokes on strike.

    How did that miss?!

After Ben Stokes works a single first ball, Mitchell Starc produces a beauty next up.

Full, swinging in to beat Jofra Archer's bat but somehow it misses the timbers.
