You would think that when Sabalenka was up, the match was done and dusted. Ostapenko was telling her team to leave, she didn't want them to witness this. All of a sudden, the game changed.

Jelena Ostapenko is definitely in the groove now, stretching out wide to not only get a forehand return in play but it also wins the point.

But Aryna Sabalenka stops the rot with four straight points to hold serve and move within one game of a fourth-round match against fellow four-time major champion Naomi Osaka.

At last! Coco Gauff clenches her fist and lets out a shout after coming through that game.

Recovered from 0-30, saved four break points... how will Claire Liu respond?

Liu just played such a clever shot, coming in and being aggressive.

Her balls are just so flat and hard, it's almost like she's slicing it every time.

    Liu 3-6 3-3 Gauff*

Pffffffft. Agony to ecstasy for Claire Liu. She misses a routine volley at the net to concede advantage but then manipulate Coco Gauff all around the court to force yet another deuce. If only she could string two good points together.

Jelena Ostapenko will know that she's not out of this yet.

Aryna Sabalenka was a set and 4-1 up in the French Open quarter-final last month and well, we know what happened there.

Surely the world number one isn't going to crumble again.

Frustration for Claire Liu as she sends a forehand long - advantage Gauff.

But Liu fights back, putting her lob just out of Gauff's reach.

    Sabalenka 6-4 4-2 Ostapenko*

    Eugenie Bouchard
Former Canadian tennis player on BBC Two

It's like Sabalenka's strategy was to be the less emotional one on the court. Leave that to Ostapenko and keep herself more contained, knowing that will help take her to victory.

Well, maybe it's not over yet.

Jelena Ostapenko dismissively sends back a forehand winner to move 0-30 up on Aryna Sabalenka's serve, and converts the first of two break points with a backhand return down the line that Sabalenka doesn't move for.

Now just the one break of serve between them.

Claire Liu returns deep and Coco Gauff gets in a tangle and puts the ball into the net.

  17. Second deucepublished at 18:32 BST 3 July

    Liu 3-6 3-3 Gauff*

A helpful net cord allows Coco Gauff to come into the net and she eats up a sliced backhand, batting it across the net at a harsh angle with Claire Liu's momentum taking her in the opposite direction.

But Gauff shanks a forehand to take the game back to deuce.

    Liu 3-6 3-3 Gauff*

On the second break point, Coco Gauff gets a bit of kick off a second serve and Claire Liu flays the ball wide. Disappointment all over Liu's face but it's smart serving from the seventh seed.

I can't see the umpire but from his voice I am pretty sure it's Barry White. The Walrus of Love-fifteen.

    Colin, Kent

Does the umpire on Centre Court do karaoke? I think he could do a great Barry White impression.

    Alan, Surrey

Am I the only one thinking that the umpire for Sabalenka v Ostapenko sounds like Barry White? Perhaps it's just the way he says "love" but I'm waiting for him to move into full seduction mode.

"Waheyyy" goes the crowd as a bottle of fizz pops off in the stands.

"Thank you," says umpire Kader Nouni in his deep, soothing voice as he tries to quiet things down.
