That was some interesting shot selection. Several times Coco could've just ripped it across the court. It worked out in the end.

I thought Coco Gauff had missed her opportunity in that point, pushing several soft returns back to Claire Liu, up at the net, instead of going for the kill. But Liu blinks first and puts a forehand volley in the net. 3-3.

I love tie-breakers.

Claire Liu looks frustrated after putting a forehand return into the net. Coco Gauff, who wasted three match points earlier, is the picture of calm.

Another good set-up from Claire Liu, crushing a cross-court backhand and storming the net to put away a delicate drop shot.

And another one! 40-15.

Coco Gauff nails probably her cleanest shot of the set to pull a point back - a tracer bullet of a down-the-line backhand - but then goes long.

From the back of the court, Liu is the better player out there at the moment.

World number one Aryna Sabalenka, speaking after her straight-set win over Jelena Ostapenko in the third round: "She is really dangerous. Last match I played against her, I couldn't do anything, she just smashed me off the court.

"I was happy I was able to get this win, especially in straight sets."
