Double fault! We're going to a decider on court one!

Momentum is with qualifier Claire Liu, who must surely be dreaming of the fourth round.

Coco Gauff heads for a comfort break. She needs to regroup asap.

Claire Liu can't serve it out but she'll have another chance.

As I type, Coco Gauff misses a first serve.

  3. Two set points - Liupublished at 19:14 BST 3 July

    *Liu 3-6 6-6 (6-4) Gauff

Remember when Coco Gauff served for the match? Remember her three set points?

  4. Tie-breakpublished at 19:13 BST 3 July

    *Liu 3-6 6-6 (5-4) Gauff

Coco Gauff keeps herself in this tie-break with a cross-court forehand winner but Claire Liu is serving with a 5-4 lead. She deserves a third set.

That was some interesting shot selection. Several times Coco could've just ripped it across the court. It worked out in the end.

  6. Tie-breakpublished at 19:12 BST 3 July

    Liu 3-6 6-6 (4-3) Gauff*

I thought Coco Gauff had missed her opportunity in that point, pushing several soft returns back to Claire Liu, up at the net, instead of going for the kill. But Liu blinks first and puts a forehand volley in the net. 3-3.

Liu responds in style. Wide serve and a crunching cross-court backhand.

  10. Tie-breakpublished at 19:07 BST 3 July

    *Liu 3-6 6-6 (0-1) Gauff

Claire Liu looks frustrated after putting a forehand return into the net. Coco Gauff, who wasted three match points earlier, is the picture of calm.

Another good set-up from Claire Liu, crushing a cross-court backhand and storming the net to put away a delicate drop shot.

    And another one! 40-15.

Coco Gauff nails probably her cleanest shot of the set to pull a point back - a tracer bullet of a down-the-line backhand - but then goes long.

    Tie-break.

  13. Nadal documentary series an 'inspiration' - Sabalenkapublished at 19:03 BST 3 July

    Sabalenka 6-4 6-4 Ostapenko

World number one Aryna Sabalenka, speaking after her straight-set win over Jelena Ostapenko in the third round: "She is really dangerous. Last match I played against her, I couldn't do anything, she just smashed me off the court.

"I was happy I was able to get this win, especially in straight sets."

On how it was playing someone equally as powerful and feisty: "Yeah, that is scary! It can go either way so I'm happy today was my day."

On improving on grass: "The plan is to get better every day. A little better level every time I am competing on this beautiful grass."

On watching Rafa Nadal's documentary: "It is an inspiration. I had goosebumps through the whole series.

"So much you can take away from Nadal. One of the best lines from Nadal is 'one of the only things you can control is your focus and your motivation' and that has been in my head ever since.

"That has helped me when things haven't been going well to stay focused and motivated. I don't know if he is watching but thank you for your series, it is an inspiration."

On facing Naomi Osaka next: "Another aggressive player. Another very powerful match. I'm ready to fight and do whatever it takes to get through."

  14. Liu serving to stay in the matchpublished at 19:01 BST 3 July

    *Liu 3-6 5-6 Gauff

Claire Liu and Coco Gauff trade points up to 30-all. It's another uncomfortable service game for Gauff.

She lets out a "come on!" as Liu puts a backhand long and then an even louder "COME ON!" as she holds to 30.

Barbora Krejcikova has beat fellow Czech Nikola Bartunkova to reach round four.

Krejcikova looked set for a routine when when up two breaks at 5-2 in the second set but she passed up three match points as hit back with a couple of breaks of her own.

The 2024 Wimbledon champion restored her break advantage to lead 6-5 before serving out for the match.

Krejcikova will face either Czech Karolina Muchova or Thai Mananchaya Sawangkaew for a place in the quarter-finals.
