We were so close to seeing Rinderknech open a new bakery, famous for its signature Novak Doughkovic. Incredible set of tennis from the Frenchman.

Not when Jannik Sinner serves in that fashion.

An ace takes it back to deuce.

Jenson Brooksby passed up two break points earlier in the set.

Can he take his single opportunity this time?

Arthur Rinderknech takes the set, and what a set it was as well! Quickfire fashion.

He may not have taken it 6-0 and done something that has never been done before, but he still joins an exclusive club; only seven players have beaten Novak Djokovic 6-1 in a set on grass.

    *Sinner 6-4 2-3 Brooksby

There's a huge contrast in how Jenson Brooksby and Jannik Sinner look physically as we get the middle part of this second set.

Brooksby is red-faced and breathing heavy while Sinner looks cool, calm and composed.

Nothing to pick between them in terms of points, though.

    *Rinderknech 5-7 4-6 6-1 0-0 Djokovic*

Arthur Rinderknech rattles through the third set in next to no time to reduce his deficit.

He broke serve twice, but also lost just two points on his own serve and his first-serve percentage was at 83%.

More of that required if he's going to do the unthinkable on Centre Court.

    Alexandrova 3-6 6-3 4-6 Jovic

18-year-old Iva Jovic is through to the fourth round of a Grand Slam for the second time in her career, beating Ekaterina Alexandrova 6-3 3-6 6-4.

The American led 3-0 early in the third set before being broken in consecutive service games to trail 4-3.

With Alexandrova serving for a 5-3 lead, Jovic broke to 15 and then saved three break points on her own serve before breaking the 18th seed for a third time in the set to clinch the win after two and a half hours on court.

Jenson Brooksby just congratulated someone in the crowd for catching a ball that he shanked and then he almost accidentally whacked Jannik Sinner as he threw it back to the Italian. Oops.

I was never a number one singles player in the world, but I shared it in the doubles for a long period.

What you deal with is every opponent coming out and playing at their best level as they have nothing to lose. You have to absorb so much play from them being above their normal level, when that happens you just have to be patient and stick with it.

On other occasions, your aura is so much that players are done as they walk out and you're just going through the motions and playing on your reputation.

The other thing Sinner has to deal with is the expectations on his time, with media, sponsors and things, and you have to manage your energy.

Not sure many saw this coming after Novak Djokovic took a two-set lead and seemed well on course for a place in the fourth round.

It's not very often you see him 5-0 down in a set, either.

The seven-time champion produced a statement performance in his clinical straight-set win over former top-10 player Stefanos Tsitsipas in the second round, but it is safe to say he is not having things his own way on Centre Court right now.

Arthur Rinderknech has never allowed his head to drop - and now he is getting his reward as Djokovic continues to suffer a significant dip here...

Wow! We've joint seen the point of the match.

Jannik Sinner races to the net and sends over a drop shot, Jenson Brooksby slices a return back and the Italian is there to put a winner into open space. Incredible agility all round.

At 40-15, Brooksby is given the runaround again. Sinner forces the American wide and then cuts a winner across the opposite side.

Brooksby gets the job done on the net point with a volley.

    Something strange is happening here...

Novak Djokovic has never lost a set 6-0 on grass. The last time it happened on any surface was in Belgrade against Andrey Rublev in 2022.

Maybe he just likes making history?

Djokovic is in a funny mood again. I felt he had calmed down and got things back on track.

It's so hard when your opponent is teeing off on everything. Rinderknech has hit some unbelievable shots, it's been a mix of power from the end of the court and deadly softness at the net.

It's almost like Djokovic is done with this set, he's not running after anything.

She and Australian partner John Peers won the first-set tie-break against Edouard Roger-Vasselin and Laura Siegemund but the French-German duo took the second 6-4 before winning the final-set tie-break 10-6.

Does the heat affect the tennis balls?

    Richard, Purley

There is some physics behind it, but in simple terms, yes, heat does affect the tennis balls.

As temperatures rise, it causes the pressure inside the ball to increase. In turn, this makes the balls feel harder and bounce better and can make for a faster game.

Conversely, when the temperature is lower, the pressure inside the balls decreases, making them softer and can slow down a game.

With heatwave temperatures set to arrive over the coming days, it is going to favour those players who like a quicker ball and faster game (like the big servers).

When Novak [Djokovic] walked on the court, you could sense that it was one of those days that would be different.

Even though he's won many times on this court, sometimes there are just off days.

Arthur Rinderknech threatens another break of serve in the third set - and he's got it!

A double fault by Novak Djokovic at 30-40 gifts Rinderknech a break point, which ends with Djokovic going wide with a backhand.

Rinderknech found the line three or four times in that last point! He's well in control of the third set now.
