  1. Game and first set - Swiatekpublished at 14:03 BST 2 July

    *Pliskova 1-6 0-0 Swiatek

Iga Swiatek dusts herself down and seals a third successive break. The end is in sight for the defending champion and in very swift fashion.

Swiatek wraps up the set with another stunning forehand into the corner.

Karolina Pliskova won just nine points across a set that lasted only 24 minutes.

A trouble-free hold to 15 for Katie Swan.

The frustration starts to grow for Otto Virtanen, who berates himself for missing a forehand.

Arthur Fery's fine serving record continues - he has still given up just the one break point in this match - and an ace wraps up another service hold.

He's one game away from round three.

  4. First ace of the matchpublished at 13:59 BST 2 July

    *Swan 1-6 1-1 Keys

    Tracy Austin
Two-time Grand Slam champion on BBC Two

That was the first ace of the match for either player. It came at a critical time for Madison Keys.

  5. Keys holdspublished at 13:58 BST 2 July

    *Swan 1-6 1-1 Keys

Madison Keys holds with an ace out wide.

Another opportunity comes and goes for Katie Swan. That's five break points she hasn't been able to capitalise on across the match.

  6. Deucepublished at 13:57 BST 2 July

    Swan 1-6 1-0 Keys*

Smart from Madison Keys. With her serve a bit iffy, she goes for placement over power and Katie Swan drags her return wide of the net post.

  7. Break point Swanpublished at 13:56 BST 2 July

    Swan 1-6 1-0 Keys*

Katie Swan pummels a couple of returns back at Madison Keys and is rewarded with a 0-30 lead.

However, Keys lands a good first serve and follows it into the net for a putaway winner.

She drags the game back to 30-all but Swan gets down low for a forehand pass.

  8. 'Swan reaching for her serve too much'published at 13:56 BST 2 July

Comparing a graphic showing their ball toss positions...

Keys' toss is so much higher. I also want to [point out] how far to the right and forward Swan's toss is. I feel like she is reaching for it too much. I'd like her to pull it back so she can snap up on that ball more frequently.

  9. Virtanen holdspublished at 13:55 BST 2 July

    *Fery 5-7 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 4-2 Virtanen

If Otto Virtanen is broken again, that would surely be curtains for him, but the Finnish qualifier keeps his hopes of a comeback alive with a hold to love.

  10. Pliskova breaks backpublished at 13:55 BST 2 July

    *Pliskova 1-4 Swiatek

Iga Swiatek is making this look very easy. She takes the first of three break points with a beautiful passing shot as Karolina Pliskova can just stand and watch.

Pliskova has won just one point through the first four games.

The Czech finds a little rhythm in the next game and has three break points of her own after a double fault from Swiatek.

Swiatek saves the first two but seems to be struggling with the wind. She has to reset her serving motion twice after throwing the ball up and eventually hands over the game with another double fault.

  12. Swan holdspublished at 13:53 BST 2 July

    Swan 1-6 1-0 Keys*

Up 30-0, Katie Swan offers Madison Keys a route back into the service game with a double fault.

She shows good athleticism to hunt down a drop shot but Keys bends a forehand around her outstretched backhand to level the game.

However, the Brit keeps her cool to hold at the start of the second set, letting out a small "come on!" as Keys nets a forehand on game point.

  13. Fery holds to back up breakpublished at 13:52 BST 2 July

    Fery 5-7 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 4-1 Virtanen*

Arthur Fery inches that little bit closer to the third round.

He's still showing plenty of energy between points and geeing himself up with a shout of "come on" to himself.

  14. 'A really important first service game'published at 13:50 BST 2 July

    *Swan 1-6 0-0 Keys

    Annabel Croft
Former British number one on BBC Radio 5 Live

If Katie Swan can get off to a fast start in this second set, she will lay down a psychological marker that she hasn't given up hope and she still has the fight.

This is a really important first service game.

  15. Swan 'not as far away as score suggests'published at 13:49 BST 2 July

If those break points had gone the other way, it could have been 3-3 instead of 1-5.

I don't think Swan is as far away as the score suggests.

There are paper fans being waved furiously by those spectators who are positioned in direct sunlight on Centre Court.

Iga Swiatek has made a red-hot start here as she races into a 3-0 lead, pummelling low, flat groundstrokes back at Karolina Pliskova.

The former finalist is being overpowered in the early stages.

  17. 'Keys a possible Wimbledon winner'published at 13:48 BST 2 July

    *Swan 1-6 0-0 Keys

    Tracy Austin
Two-time Grand Slam champion on BBC Two

I think this is a big moment for Madison Keys to try to work her way through Wimbledon.

After winning her fourth grass court tournament in Eastbourne [last week], people have put her in the conversation as a possible winner - and she can hear those conversations.

  18. Fery breaks in fourth setpublished at 13:48 BST 2 July

    *Fery 5-7 7-6 (7-3) 6-3 3-1 Virtanen

Outstanding approach play by Arthur Fery and Otto Virtanen can't get it back.

A break of serve for Fery and it might be enough to win him the match if he continues to serve as well as he has throughout this contest.

The third round beckons for the Briton.

I did think this is how this match would unfold, in terms of Madison Keys being a bit nervous at the start and Katie Swan looking like she has been playing in the lower-level tournaments.

I don't necessarily think the jump up from the Challenger Tour to the Grand Slams is that big, but I think it is the intensity and the ability to repeat it point after point, match after match, day after day.
