    It's almost time for play to begin on Centre Court, where defending champion Iga Swiatek will soon be taking on former runner-up Karolina Pliskova.

    As the fans continue to filter in, among those watching from the Royal Box today will be Sir Cliff Richard, ready to offer his Congratulations to the winner.

    Singer Ellie Goulding is also here, as is England footballer Lucy Bronze and Spain's Ona Batlle, and former Wimbledon champion Ann Jones.

    Fery is one set away from reaching the third round of a Grand Slam for the first time in his career, and also guaranteeing British interest in the singles for a couple more days at least.

    Swan is pegged back to 30-all - a double fault followed by a teasing drop shot from Keys which the Brit returns long - but she comes through to hold.

    First up on Centre Court today is defending champion Iga Swiatek against Karolina Pliskova.

    Third seed Swiatek was posed a few stern questions by American Taylor Townsend in her first round tie, but eventually came through in three sets.

    At 40-30, Otto Virtanen steps up the pace a bit and Arthur Fery can't clear the net with a backhand.

    Deuce.

    But the Briton smacks away an overhead smash for a winner and Virtanen makes a mess of a drop shot, giving Fery a 5-3 lead.

    Fery is one game away from the set and a lead by two sets to one.

    Katie Swan's return to tennis is an absolutely intriguing story. I would love to know who that doctor was because it sounds like the work he does is a little bit different and he managed to find a solution to all her problems.

    It is extraordinary to face that adversity and to think that you're coaching and you've given up your dreams of playing at Wimbledon, yet here she is playing on court one against a top star.
