Mark Allen will always be haunted by his miss on the black in the semi-final against Wu, will the 22-year-old always be replaying that miss in his mind?

It’s never straight forward at the Crucible. There is always twists and turns every year, and it’s been the same since 1977. There is always something happening at the Championship at the Crucible Theatre.

Not over yet. Wu Yize, at 43-0 ahead and with the finish line not far away, misses a black off the spot. A lifeline for Murphy.

Wu takes his lead to 0-42. He's still there.

Murphy 0-27 Wu. Murphy can only sit, wait and hope for another chance.

Wu up to 14. He's in the danger zone. It's early in the frame, but there is a route to the world title. Can he hold his nerve?

Shaun Murphy was 45-0 ahead, Wu then makes a wonderful 91 clearance.

One frame from glory. One frame from being the second youngest Crucible winner. One frame from back-to-back Chinese world champions.

Stephen Hendry called it "one of the bravest pots I've seen in a while" and Wu downs a tough yellow which had been on the baulk cushion with the rest. Brilliant from Wu.
