Both these players have provided a worthy spectacle for snooker fans. Whoever should win, from start to finish this final has been hugely entertaining. Wu has taken the game to another level, making possible impossible shots, Shaun has battled on - it's a shame it has to end tonight.

This is enthralling stuff and you can cut the tension in the Crucible with the bluntest of knives. Whoever can hold themselves together will come out on top. Shaun Murphy has started with some wonderful matchplay snooker, but Wu Yize seems to thrive when he is up against it. 18-17?

Shaun Murphy will climb to second if he wins, while Wu Yize would go fourth if he wins. At the start of the tournament, Murphy was eighth and Wu was 10th.
The top 16 will be the same, albeit in a different order, as at the start of the tournament. That comes as only one of the qualifiers, Hossein Vafaei, won at the Crucible, but he would only go from 32nd to 28th. Judd Trump needs to get to August and then he would have been the world number one for two years successively.

This match is very much in the balance. A lot of people getting ahead of themselves calling it for Wu already. There's only one frame in it. It could very easily swing either way! I'm going to stick my neck out and say that Shaun wins it by two frames.

It has become very clear over the last few days that Wu Yize isn’t ‘just’ a potter, or a break-builder. He has tremendous bottle: to lose the first five frames today and come back as strongly as he has is massively impressive. Wuuuuuuuu!
