  1. Bogey for Fitzpatrickpublished at 21:44 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -10, Fitzpatrick -5 (11)

    Splash!

It's not been Matt Fitzpatrick's day, he should've brought his armbands.

The Englishman's approach at the par-five 11th catches a bit of tree and it doesn't have the legs to make it over the water. He's fading a little. Bogey it is.

Lee Westwood, meanwhile, leaves his chip a touch short and settles for par.

    DeChambeau -11 (13)

Bryson DeChambeau leaks his drive right - he's hit eight out of 11 fairways so far today. He then finds the sand.

"OH. MY. GOSH" says the American. I mean, he made it out fo the bunker and on to the green... it looked fairly decent to me.

    Rahm -9 (15)

I wouldn't want to be a club, a ball, anything belonging to Jon Rahm right now. He's just tugged a simple wedge into the 16th green about 10 yards left of the flag.

I'd have been disappointed with that. Rahm has a thunderous look on his face. He's an emotional player is the Spaniard. He needs to keep himself in check though, given the two holes that he's got left after this one...

  4. Ghim joins leadpublished at 21:37 GMT 13 March 2021

    Ghim -11 (14)

Doug Ghim is here to stay.

The 24-year-old former world's best amateur tucks away that four-footer at 13 to climb to 11 under par and level with Bryson DeChambeau at the top!

  5. Leaderboardpublished at 21:35 GMT 13 March 2021

    -11 B DeChambeau (13)

    -10 J Thomas (F), D Ghim (13), L Westwood (10)

    Selected: -9 J Rahm (15), C Kirk (11)

    -8 P Casey (16)

    -7 M Fitzpatrick (10)

  6. Kirk climbingpublished at 21:32 GMT 13 March 2021

    Rahm -9 (15), Kirk -9 (11)

Jon Rahm is struggling to fire on the back nine. He had five birdies in his opening nine holes, but has had just one more since the turn, to cancel out his solitary bogey.

Another chance goes begging on the 15th but he's still right in the mix.

As is Chris Kirk. He, like Rahm, bogeyed the 10th but has hit back with a birdie on the long 11th to also lie two off the lead.

  7. Postpublished at 21:31 GMT 13 March 2021

    Ghim -10 (13)

Doug Ghim likes the look of that, he jogs to the right to watch his approach at 14 drop nicely into the heart of the green. playing some superb golf at the minute.

Roll this one in from four feet and he's back into a share of the lead...

  8. Birdie for Westwoodpublished at 21:23 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -10, Fitzpatrick -7 (10)

    Finally!

Lee Westwood had so many looks at birdie on the front nine, after hitting the turn one finally drops. He's quickly back within one.

Westwood looks like he's having a great time out there, putting no pressure on himself whatsoever. Just a casual hack in the sunshine.

  9. DeChambeau takes outright leadpublished at 21:21 GMT 13 March 2021

    DeChambeau -11 (12)

    In it goes for Bryson!

DeChambeau rolls in a close-range birdie at 12 to move into the lead.

Three birdies on the bounce for the American, and those around him will be hoping this streak doesn't last too much longer...

  10. Scott stiffing it at 17published at 21:20 GMT 13 March 2021

Australia's Adam Scott is clearly enjoying the par-three 17th this week.

It's the fourth hardest hole on the course today, despite measuring just 121 yards.

Three rounds, three twos for Scott...

    Harman -8 (10)

Brian Harman started his day with an eagle, but it was a par-save at 10 that brought out the fist pump. He's two back at eight under.

  12. Postpublished at 21:16 GMT 13 March 2021

    DeChambeau -10 (11)

Bryson DeChambeau doesn't like that. "Gosh..." he cries, after coming up short and right at the 12th - plenty have tried to drive this par four today, you'd have banked on Bryson being one of them. Seemed to go for the lay up instead.

No bother, the US Open champ shows a lovely touch to wriggle his chip within touching distance. Birdie chance incoming...

  13. Some words from our clubhouse leaderpublished at 21:15 GMT 13 March 2021

    Thomas -10 (F)

"I felt good warming up. I felt like I played some solid golf for the first two days without getting too much out of it. But I know if I drive the ball well there's lots of birdies to out there.

"I'm excited. This is why I play. I've been working to get back in contention, so hopefully these guys out there won't go crazy on the back nine and I can sneak into the final group."

  14. Casey slips back againpublished at 21:09 GMT 13 March 2021

    Casey -8 (14)

Paul Casey is yet to par a hole on the back nine. Sadly for him, he's just racked up his third bogey in five holes to drop back into the pack on eight under par.

A wayward drive was followed by a trip to the bunker on the 14th. He had two swipes from the sand but holed a gutsy eight-footer to drop only one shot.

  16. DeChambeau joins leadpublished at 21:06 GMT 13 March 2021

    DeChambeau -10 (11)

Bryson DeChambeau, arms and eyes locked, sizes up a birdie putt at 11, sets it on its way from 14 feet and wobbles it all the way into the cup to take a share of the lead at Sawgrass.

That's two on the bounce. He's in some serious form.

  17. DJ goes swimming on 17published at 21:04 GMT 13 March 2021

    D Johnson E (F)

How tough is the 17th hole at TPC Sawgrass? Insanely so.

But there's no shame in finding the water, even the world number one can end up swimming, although he was a little unfortunate today.

A double-bogey five and a one-over 73 leaves the Masters champion at level par for the tournament.

  18. Westy misses birdie chancepublished at 21:02 GMT 13 March 2021

    Westwood -9, Fitzpatrick -8 (9)

Lovely chip on from Lee Westwood. Another presentable birdie chance. Surely he's going to take this one from seven/eight feet?! No! Another slides by for the overnight leader and he finishes the front nine with all pars.

Matt Fitzpatrick makes a par of his own to stay two back.

  19. Postpublished at 21:00 GMT 13 March 2021

    Ghim -10 (11)

Doug Ghim takes on the green off the tee at 12 - it's driveable. He's inches away from finding his line but the joint-leader wriggles off to the right.

  20. Thomas eagles 16published at 20:59 GMT 13 March 2021

Want to see that Justin Thomas eagle on the 16th from earlier? Of course you do.
